My youngest ordered Bellas Chocolate Waffle from the kids menu. It came as 4 super thick palm sized waffles drizzled with chocolate sauce & whip cream. She dug in without asking for syrup & even, amazingly, DECLINED it when I asked if she wanted some! When she let me taste, I realized why - they were fabulous. Slightly sweet & terrifically flavored. Syrup certainly was not needed. My oldest daughter ordered the Mac & Cheese from the kids menu. It was presented on an adorable tray with cheese bread, carrot sticks and the most amazing veggie dip Ive ever tasted as well as a SnickerDoodle cookie for a finishing treat. The mac & cheese was NOT Kraft - THANK YOU!!! And was a very creamy and flavorful yet mild/kid friendly sauce. My daughters exact words: "Mooom! Oh my goodness! Im falling IN LOVE with this mac & cheese!" :0) I too had Mac & Cheese - albeit the adult version with grilled chicken. To put it simply - I completely understood what my baby was experiencing! The white wine and cheese combination was a fabulous experience! The chicken perfectly grilled - juicy inside & slightly crisp outside. I will be returning to Highland Grill again. It was a terrific first experience!

Where did they put the Highland grill? Tonight I was suprised to see that the highland grill had recieved an unfortunate remodel. The menu was completely different and not to their benifit. We were told different wait times from multiple waitresses and finally after being seated outside it took forever to recieve our food! I was happy to see the fish and chips was still on the menu and ordered it as per usual. However when it came it was different, spicy and not crispy! After telling the waitress about this she couldnt care less. Finally she came with our bill and said "Oh its chilly out here" *Plunks down the bill* "Better go get some coffee". Bottom line bad customer service, bad hospitality and not so great food. Bummer. Used to love coming here; Pretty sure I wont be coming back.

The food here is top notch and high quality the whole way. I really cannot recommend eating here enough. Great breakfast/lunch menu with options for an evening meal as well. This is also one of those rare locations that feels like you could be here all day with friends or on your own. Meet up with people for breakfast, do some work on your own (they have great wi-fi) and then have a quick lunch when noon rolls around. The staff is attentive, the atmosphere is welcoming and the food is phenomenal. My only complaint is parking can be inconvenient, but that is minor compared to the many benefits of spending time here. Feels like home.

Ive been here twice now - once for dinner once for breakfast. Each time the staff and management were very friendly. They even took our cell number when they were busy so they could call us when a table opened - not many places Ive been to do that. Both times I ate there the food was pretty good. They do a good job adding interesting twists to standard fares. One of the deserts was an ice cream sandwich - it consisted of warm brownie on the bottom followed by kiwi/strawberries, ice cream, another brownie, all covered in caramel.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Highland Grill last night! Walked in because a different restaurant was closed and didnt know what to expect. The atmosphere was great, everything was very clean which is something hard to find in a diner! The food was to die for - the stuffed French Toast and the Fish and Chips, so good! The staff was honestly the best I have ever been served by - very helpful and friendly! My new favorite restaurant, and will be bringing all my friends to it!

This is our go-to quick dinner and lunch spot. The menu, particularly the new one following the 2015 remodel, isnt quite as accessible, but you really cant go wrong with anything on it. Roast chicken enchiladas are a must, and the fish and chips is a staple. It seems like they added some seats with the remodel, so its often a close experience. Be prepared to rub elbows, perhaps even literally, with your fellow diners.

Changed menu and got rid of Chicken Involtini. Best menu item ever. Got rid of the experience servers and replaced with disinterested servers who didnt know what they served. Longtime customer will NEVER return. We left. Why does a business eliminate one of their top selling items and get rid of the great servers. Very poor business decision. Guessing they will figure this out when they lose their customers.

Innovative, friendly, and delicious - the Highland Grill is my favorite restaurant in the Cities. Expect a queue at mealtimes - its small and popular - but its absolutely worth the wait. Favorites are the Killer Banana Waffle, the Salmon Scramble, the Peters Burger, and the piroshki appetizers. The wait staff has always been friendly and on the ball, even when things were super crazy. I love the Highland Grill!!

The restaraunt looks nice, my friend and I were given a table in the center part of long and narrow dining room. Our chairs kept getting bumped into by the waitresses. It wasnt a really pleasant experience. Food was good, breakfast menu not so exciting in my opinion. I find that charging $10.50 for hash egg and toast is a little high, especially when the omlette is $9.50.

I visited Highland Grill for brunch with myself and 7 others from a wedding party. The staff were happy to accomidate our group and did their best to assure our satisfaction. The food was absolutely amazing, I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was really good. If youre in the area I would highly recommend this establishment. Thanks for the great service guys/ladies.

I love their happy hour, pierogis and chickpea lettuce wraps. Everything else is so so and a little bit more expensive than other places. Stay AWAY from the cheese curds. Worst cheese curds ever, the batter is pale white, cheese is flavorless and it comes with a side of applesauce and some nasty red chutney stuff...why??? Why would they do this to cheese curds??????????

Wings were zero flavor. Side salad was dripping in dressing, turkey burger was supposed to be best in TC, it left me searching for and missing flavor. The Elvis burger was flavorless too, left me wondering what these reviews were good for, and also wondering if employees and family of owners were the ones writing the positive reviews. Don't waste $40 LIKE I DID.

My husband and I went for dinner for Valentines Day. It was incredible. We shared the bachelor salad and the salmon entree. The salad was so good and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The Brussels sprouts were seasoned perfectly and flash deep fried. Best ever. Will definitely be frequenting his restaurant.

Update: changed their menu and eliminated what worked so beautifully. Why?? Now the seating is silly, your literally able to watch the sneeze (from the person next to you) land on your food/plate. Portions have been scaled way back. Menu is just plain boring. Original 5 star review

Theyve changed the menu in the past few months. The old menu was amazing and offered tons of variety. There were fun twists on basic items that made the food wonderful. The new menu is boring, and the food I had didnt even taste very good. Bring back the old Highland Grill menu!!!!
