We had dinner for four tonight and were EXTREMELY disappointed in the service and some of the food. The Ribeye steak was good (though overpriced); the Grilled Chicken & Asparagus linguini was just "okay"; Candied Pecan Pork Chops themselves were fantastic, but the sides left something to be desired - the sweet potato fries were cold and soggy, the broccoli was way too salty (Why are picking your own sides only offered with the steak dinners?? It would have been much better to have the choice to pick something without an upcharge); the Bedda Chedda Bacon Burger was mediocre at best - the cheese on the burger was cold, shredded cheddar that wasnt melted at all and the fries were actually cold. Our server took the cold fries away to have them replaced, but stopped at a few other tables before finally heading to the kitchen - so by the time we got fresh fries back the meal was half completed. The best thing on the burger plate was the pickle - sad. We also ordered a side of the GC sour cream for dipping - that was nothing special at all and totally not worth the extra $.99. We were not asked how everything was going after that; didnt see a manager on duty at the door greeting or saying good night to people asking how their experience was. Our server seemed indifferent to our needs and was put out when we stated that wed box our own left-overs to take home. For an almost $120 dinner for four (including tip) it was completely NOT worth it. Very, very disappointed that what was supposed to be a pleasant birthday dinner out for one of us was not. I could have grilled/cooked dinner much better than that. The idea of treating to a meal out is to ENJOY the experience of well cooked food and being waited on/pampered a little. That did not happen here. We will NOT be visiting this establishment again anytime soon. I am giving a two star rating only because the steak and pork chops were delicious.

We went here for lunch today. We were seated directly next to a girl who was one of their servers wasting time between shifts. Our waiter and her loudly conversed and flirted each time he came over in our direction. The girl next to us then turned to the guy at the table on the other side of her and started talking loudly to him. Turns out that he was also a Granite City server who was just hanging out. The servers who were on duty kept going over to the two clocked out employees and talked and laughed louder than any customer in the restaurant. It was incredibly distracting and made it hard for my boyfriend and me to have a conversation. Our server was just as careless. He was attentive, yes, but so attentive that he came over while we were clearly still in the middle of our meal (we had only had our food in front of us for maybe thirty minutes and still had generous portions on our plates). He told us that he needed to clock out to end his shift and he placed the check on our table. We figured we could wait on paying until we were done eating and that another waiter would take over our table. Nope. Our waiter comes back three minutes later and impatiently asks if we had placed our card in the folder. We had to quickly scramble to pull out our wallets and settle our bill even though we had barely eaten. When he brought our card back, he was all chipper because Im sure he was expecting a good tip. It was so incredibly rude. Weve never run into such poor service that is masqueraded as friendly and attentive. Thank goodness we were using a gift card and not wasting our own money on such a pitiful excuse for customer service.

First off let me start off by saying that I have wrote one bad review in my life so this will my second. It takes a lot for me to take the time and write a disappointed review. In other words, I dont complain unless I think its necessary. I have been here 2 years ago and was actually impressed by things. Things change. My girlfriend and I showed up for a Sunday morning/noon brunch. After the short wait we were seated and didnt get menus or introduced to our waitress for 10 minutes. I mean, thats a first for me usually its pretty quick at any restaurant. Took another 10 minutes to get a coffee from her that I had asked for. I wasnt explained how the brunch deal works out, I was under the impression by the waitress that its a seperate menu to order off. So I sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for the menu while my girlfriend had her lunch menu. So by now its one bad thing after the next. The brunch was old and nasty. Definitely not worth $16 for prison style breakfast food. After all of the disappointment I hand the waitress my card. She returns and after looking at the bill when she walked away I noticed she gave me her waitress book with all her tips and orders. So I had to track her down and switch it out with my copy of the order. What a joke!!! Never going back here again

Literally the BEST experience we have EVER had at a restaurant!! Arrived at the restaurant with a 20min wait, we were with another couple who has 2 kids and we have 1 child as well. We get seated and our friends child started to throw a major tantrum. So our friend took her outside to the car. Meanwhile the wait staff brought us free carrots and ranch, applesauce and French fries to give to her and were apologize for the wait! The tantrum was not their fault at all! So the dad and child stayed in the car the remainder of night while the rest of us ordered dinner. To start off with the drinks, he was quick and very knowledgeable about the beer that they brew and my husband loved all of the samples! I went to order the steak and he said the prime rib is way better tonight! So I trusted him! (BEST CHOICE EVER) my husband got pasta that he raved about and he took our order by memory! Im pregnant and he noticed... first meal out was the childrens meal and my meal! AMAZING! We neverror even asked for them to come out first! Drinks were filled up fast and we never had to ask for refills. When paying he also came back and gave us free dessert to take home!! THE BEST SERVICE, THE BEST FOOD EVER!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!

The patio was great to sit on- in the shade. Service is terrible waitress was awful. When I asked what is in the dip that comes with the waffle fries the waitress said "I assume it is just sour cream and paprika" when clearly there is bits of green things- looks like tartar sauce. Then I asked her to check and she said its parsley. When I said it doesnt look like that she started assuming again. So I told her I wanted to know whats in there she sent the manager who told us its mayonnaise different spices and finally sour cream. Too much hassle! And she didnt stop by too fill drinks very often. One girl I asked for a glass of water she said sure and then went to sit with friends. I had to ask another server.
