I visited this location last week with my best friend; the service was great, food was great, I have no complaints on that end. Yesterday, I realized that my card was charged twice: for my meal and my friends meal, on two separate transactions. I work in the restaurant industry, and it couldve been an easy fix: apologize for the mistake, pull back that transaction, comp the other tab, and possibly offer a gift card so the guest will be happy and most likely return. After today, I will never go back to another IHOP. I called the store asking to speak to a manager, in which she suggested that my friend pays me back instead. She then said she would contact her general manager, then give me a call back. Another person gave me a call back asking if my friend could come back in and pay for her tab, in which I said no because thats ridiculous; it wasnt our fault that the server ran my card twice. She said she would contact their general manager and give me another call back. 1 hour and 4 calls later, they finally said theyd refund me the money for my friends tab, and that was it. Their sole concern was the money. I wasnt even upset with the situation to begin with because mistakes happen and I was simply looking for a refund, but after this debacle I was livid by the fact it took that long without any other compensation to try to keep guests. I then gave a call to headquarters guest hotline. He was very friendly and attentive, took down my information and said someone would give me a call back as a follow-up a week later. He then asked if there was anything else Id like to add, in which I was going to say that the restaurant I work at requires a swipe of a managers card in order to run the same card multiple times in one day, thereby eliminating this issue, in which he cut me off by saying he needed to cut the call short but he will contact the store, in which he promptly said goodbye and hung up. Before I called, I wasnt upset, things like this happen and it wasnt a big deal. The rudeness and lack of responsibility for their mistakes concludes the worst customer service experience I have ever had, and will ensure that I will never visit another IHOP again.

I like Ihop. Staff is okay sometimes, food is always good. I get really tentative staff sometimes and other times they are too busy hanging out with there friends that visit or in back by the kitchen. So I hope they understand when I give them a 0 tip that there service was unacceptable. And by bad service I mean waited 10 mins after being brought to our table to get drinks then never got a refill or asked then everyone finished eating, cleaned plates because we waited so long and waited another 10 mins to have our table cleared and another 10 mins to just get a check. This was the worst case but it happens every so often. Seating is a little tight in this location.

We came in on Sunday at about 9:15am and it was surprisingly quiet. Service was relatively quick at first but quickly went down as our meal went on. I had a Berrys and Cream waffle combo with scrambled eggs and bacon and my SOs plate was Garden Omelette with hash browns. The cream on the waffle was meh but everything else was okay. The omelette was good but the hash browns were cold. We got hot chocolate because we were freezing and that wasnt because of the 13 degree weather! The restaurant was FREEZING! The hot chocolate didnt help much though as it was lukewarm.

The Apple Valley IHOP is right by my office, across the street from the public library on Galaxie. Gadwell Court is residential. I would correct the address if I knew how. I love their multi grain pancakes and pretty much anything else on the menu. The service is friendly. It is busy on weekends but they get people in and treat us well, even when they are really busy. They have two for one coupons in the local papers and I really appreciate that too. I am on my way today for lunch at IHOP.

Waitress argued with me when I told her my pancake was not done and I tasted pancake batter. Then I told her that our splashberry drinks were missing the syrup in the bottom of the cup like everyone elses that ordered it and she told me thats how she makes them. I told her that is the only drink that I order since they came out and I know how they are supposed to look and taste. My husbands eggs were dry more cheese than eggs. Just all arou d horrible. I wont be going back.

I highly suggest taking your service elsewhere. It took us 20 minutes just to get a waitress to order our drinks. She never came back to order our food so they sent us a new waiter this is after already being here for 45 minutes.they had at least 5 waiter/waitress working and it was not busy. The staff was nice just had no idea what they were doing.

PLEASE MAKE AN IHOP IN THE TOWN OF ROCHESTER MN!!! We need one here in this town. The ihop I been too is too far away and I dont travel far a lot. I think ihop is a really great eating place. They have great choice of foods to eat and the food is great. Rochester could use a good restaurant like this. Please considered building one. Thanks!

Hands down the best service Ive had a restaurant in years! The food was well IHOP, but our server Amber was kind, patient, understanding and respectful of the large group of children we had with us... She even brought our cranky baby a bowl of fruit preemptively to calm her down. I highly recommend eating here whenever you are in the area.

I have always enjoyed my experience at IHOP. The food has been tasty the portions nice sized, and fair priced. Some people talk about Service, but I have always had a very nice experience. Sometimes the service is directly related to how your server is treated.

Pancakes, bacon and eggs. America! This location is decent. Food was hot and delicous. My only concern was with how loud this place gets when packed. Kids screaming over juice...pass. heres my tip, go early and youll beat the family crews.

We were seated right away. Then I had to track down our server after 15 minutes, to take our order. It was my Daughter, 3 Grand Children and myself. Our food was wonderful but I rated the Service at a 3 only.

Pretty standard place. Food seemed over priced as after the tip my 5 pancakes cost $10. Their competitor Perkins is better
