This was the worst experience I have ever had ordering food. First I called to order and was hung up on, which easily could have been a mistake, but it happened a second time after I had to call back. I finally was able to place my order after the 3rd attempt and was told 15 min for food. When I arrived 20 minutes later the only thing that had been prepared were my egg rolls. Nobody else was in the shop and the two workers werent preparing any orders. It took nearly 3 minutes before my presence was even acknowledged and another 5 before anyone approached to ask what I was there for! I know the food was fresh because I saw it being prepared, but I almost wish it hadnt been. At least that would explain the blandness and overall poor quality. My wife and my "chicken fried rice" literally had ONE piece of chicken in it. My shrimp with lobster sauce was all sauce and no shrimp and was extremely bland. I do not know if this place has changed ownership, but there is no way the other reviews come even remotely close to describing this place as an enjoyable experience. We will certainly never be going back.

what is wrong with these other reviewers? Ive eaten at more Chinese places than I can remember and this place is almost the best Chinese restaurant Ive ever ordered from. Their portions for the price are great! I stuff myself full and have left-overs for the next meal. Get a whole dinner special plus an eggroll for $6 and some change. In response to that one post, yea maybe their delivery can be slow sometimes, but if you live less than a mile away just go pick it up. They have your food ready in like 10 min. Also, this bad review just verifies how excellent China Ones food is; she ordered it 3 times even with her prior experiences of having to wait over an hour and a half. LOL! I know people who live across the river that drive to China One for their Chinese food cravings. If what you want is great tasting food at a good price then go to China One. If you dont believe me sample other places in St. Paul, youll never feel like you get the same amount for your money, and at some point youll end up comparing your sesame chicken to McDonalds Nuggets.

We were staying at childrens hospital and needed some dinner. Found this place in a book of restaurants nearby that delivered. I was greatly disappointed. I ordered the chow mein combo, when I opened it it was 90% large chunks of onions and about 10% thinly sliced chicken. The egg roll was cold. When we called they said thats how we make it. Nothing we can do but give you 10% off your next order. I wanted food now not later. My boyfriend ordered the spicy chicken combo, which wasnt listed but said they could do it. To his disappointment it was chicken in a spicy beef sauce that gave it a weird taste. Very disappointed and wouldnt recommend this place to anyone! And I didnt take the 10%, because I wouldnt order again and was left hungry.

For starters, it took an hour for the "food" to be delivered. Once it got there, it had a funny smell and taste, almost like soda crackers smell after they have been sitting around for a year. The egg foo young was extremely bland and flavorless. I also ordered Chicken Chow Mein with Fried rice. The rice was meh, but the chow mein was off somehow. The chicken did not look or taste lick chicken and there was a lot of water in it. The last thing that I ordered was a creamcheese wonton. It was like chewing leather. Please dont visit this place, it is not worth it. There are so many other places to try that are actualy decent.

I have always been pleased with China One. About 8 years ago my dad was always in and out of the hospital and we have always ordered from China One to feed the family. 15+ people. It was so affordable, as we ordered almost every weekend for several months. I just started going back to China One a few months ago and their food and service, still amazing. The food are just perfectly salted and they DO NOT over season with MSG. Most of the time high sodium food do not sit well in my tummy, but tonights dinner was perfect! Thank you, China One. Catering, amazing and affordable.

Really poor quality. Order lo mein the first time last week tasted bad. Noodles taste like they were boiled in toilet water and the chicken tasted funny. Went back yesterday ordered veggie fried rice and sesame chicken. The sauce was decent but chicken tasted weird and rice was kind of bland. I dont trust their food honestly gave them 2 stars cause Im not bogus and they are there whenever u are low on funds but u will be disappointed

This is the review that you should give weight to. . . I was referred to this place by a friend I trusted, and being honest it was just okay. It is true that they dont favorably portion their protien, and use lots of broccoli for filler. It was about as good as any Food Court Chinese Food. There are tons of other authentic Asian food places along University, flip your coin.

The food is okay, and I guess you should expect that from the low prices. however the costumer service sucks. When I see ordering over the phone, a women kept yelling at me. then upon arrival when I asked for a package of sauce she rolled her eyes. Very unprofessional. i guess if you order from there, youll have to order the right thing. oh and the food was bland!

The food wasnt good. The meat was extremely low quality and for two meals it was $16. The food was prepared quickly, we did take out, but the food just wasnt good. I had the broccoli beef and it wasnt seasoned well at all, very bland. The sesame chicken was not good either. I would not recommend it, nor would I go back.

Have tried 3 times - each time delivery took over an hour and today it took 2 1/2 hours!! When we called to find out where the deliver was, we were told the driver was stuck in traffic. Were less than a mile from them, right on University! Food has been nothing special - mediocre at best. Will never order from again.

We ordered delivery from here last night. Gross. The egg rolls, crab rangoon, and dumplings were all soaked in oil. The ma po tofu was too peppery and otherwise flavorless, and the sauce was cornstarchy thick. It was all bad, and it took forever to come. Wont order from there again.

This was my fourth time requesting for a delivery from China One, and I just want to say that Im glad that I chose to order from here. The portions are large and it arrived still hot. I will definitely come back to order from China One. The food was delicious! Thank you.

Not tasty. The service was terrible. I couldnt understand the people on the phone and when they delivered to my house, they yelled at me for ordering so late at night... but they still accepted the order. I will never order here again. no way.

My boyfriend ordered for me i looked at reviews which now i will always go by because this food is straight up disgusting rice and chkn has no taste im sorry i wasted my money im still hungry i took 3 bites of my food and will not b eating it
