Shortly after East China opened I thought I would give it a try because my wife wasnt with me and she is too picky to try new places without good reason. I came home with it and my wife tried a bite when she got home. She liked it so much she told me to get her some which was a surprise cause she is so picky. Since then we have enjoyed thier food many times. The pepper beef and seasame chicken are good but I like the General Tsos Chicken the best. Its better than World Buffet and several other Asian resturants in the area. Typically when I go I get the combo (I think its called a combo). Its a main dish like General Tsos Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. The people are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I really like that everything is cooked fresh and even the Pork Fried Rice contains fresh veggies. Im lucky to have such a great Chinese food resturant so close but even if it wasnt close Id still drive past other places to get the food from East China. I really cant say enough good things about it so Ill just end with, .. If you havent tried it give them a try!

We just moved to the area and were looking for good Chinese delivery. Not only were the prices phenomenal and the portions generous, but the taste was INCREDIBLE. We ordered 2 combo plates, (General Tso Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken.) They both came with rice and an egg roll. Everything tasted fresh and the veggies in the dishes were amazing. We also ordered cream cheese wontons on the side. Solid decision. Theyve earned themselves 3, new fans. Edited 9/2014: Really, really, slow service. We took a chance and ordered again after a very poor experience the last time. (They get lost constantly. Always an excuse.) Delivery times of an hour or more. So bummed. Used to rock.

Im married to a Vietnamese woman so we like to try every Asian restaurant close to home. We have lived in Apple Valley for a little over a year now and this place is by far the BEST! I have gotten takeout and on most occasions delivery. Every time it is as hot and fresh as before. I am obsessed with egg foo young, I get it every time and it never dissapoints. I actually stopped eating it when I moved to the Twin Cities because I couldnt find a place that had good foo young untill east china. Awesome friendly staff too!!

I love Chinese food but after trying this place a few different times I havent had any luck with the chicken. Their rice is good and flavor of the dishes, but wheres the chicken? I get nothing but hard crunchy breading and if pulled apart you might get a sliver of tough overcooked chicken. I typically toss my food after eating the rice and vegetables. Disappointed and finally leaving a review so I can remind myself not to come here again.

Been ordering take-out from this restaurant once a week ever since they opened several years ago. Its geared towards take-out but has minimal seating for patrons within the restaurant. Pretty basic and nothing fancy, but the food is good, the prices reasonable and the serving sizes on the generous side. Mr. Ang, the proprietor and (presumably) head cook, always greets customers with a smile. Easy 5-star rating!

OUTSTANDING!!! We are foodies who moved to Apple Valley from St. Paul and were afraid of not finding quality ethnic food. This place is great. The people who own/run/cook are amazing. Delivery service is fast, fast, fast. Our whole family are fans. Kids love the beef lo mein and pot stickers, we love the mongolian beef. We have not had a single dish here that wasnt delicious. You will be pleased!

I ordered $25 worth of food from the online option. An hour passed with no show so I called the restaurant and they told me they never saw my order, even though I received an email confirmation. I told them it was unacceptable and the fellow didnt even care. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE THEY ARE RUDE AND ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY WE AMERICANS GIVE TO THEM!!!

This place is perfect for late night chinese food!! Their Lo Mei and wontons are the best ive had anywhere! They know me and my fiance by name lol and really saw a lot of us when i was pregnant. They still ask us whenever they see us how our new little boys doing. So great food, amazing people. What more do you need?!

The couple that own East China are 2 of the most friendly people in the Twin Cities!! The food is ALWAYS fresh no matter what time you get it!! Not like the others that precook lots a dish thats popular, and serve it til its gone. I dont know how they do it!?!? But I sure am glad theyre here and not China!!! :-)

Awesome! My girlfriend and I love going here when we are craving chinese food. The food is very tasty and inexpensive. Portion size is more then generous. The people that run the place are very friendly and hard working (seems like the same two people are always there). Give them a try it wont disappoint

The ingredients were the freshest for Chinese takeout weve had in the Apple Valley/ Burnsville area. Weve been searching for a good takeout place for awhile now and this is the first place well look forward to ordering from again. Great service, too. The guys and gals here were super nice.

Great food! Would not recommend eating at the restaurant (very small with little decor) Staff is always friendly when I pick up. Even have use Google coupons. Very forward thinking. Quality of the chicken is always very high. You will not be disappointed.

Do not order. I called to order, their website says within 5 miles they offer delivery. We live 4.7 driving miles according to GPS. They came up with a distance of 5.1 miles. I dont know many businesses that will turn down customers but here it is.

By far the nicest people ever. It shows in their cooking as well! The lo mein and hot and spicy chicken is amazing. Deep fried dumplings are a close second. I eat a lot of sushi but when it comes to chinese food East China is the only way to go.

Good Chinese take out place with half a dozen tables. They have a broader list of choices that the usual take out place, and seem better. My favorite is MooShu pork with rice wrappers. Lots of other good things.

You cant beat this place for quality and value. Recommend take out (but the owners kids are a pleasant distraction!) Plus, you can watch your meal being made (clean!!)
