Ive been going to this place for a long time now and its still my favorite place to get food from out of all the options around Apple Valley. The store itself is a little lacking on the decor/ambiance if you decide to eat there. Its just an open area with a bunch of little tables. One thing I do like though is the fact that sometimes they have their kids there playing behind the counter, watching TV, or eating dinner. I dont know why but this makes me like the place more. Maybe because its truly family run? Service is great, but there is a language barrier sometimes. I dont mind that one bit though with the exceptional quality and the relative cheapness of their food! Id recommend this place to anyone!

First of all, the food is above average. They cook it right there where you can see them doing it up nice and fresh. I like that. Secondly, my wife and I can spend $15 on "date night" and stuff ourselves and still have leftovers for lunch the next day. The fried rice is tasty and worth it and the chicken is great. This is a family run restaurant and we dont have many of those in Apple Valley, so it feels good to support a place like this. The service is average to above average. Sometimes they get busy and you have to wait a few minutes, but definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere is OK, most people get take-out but there are a few tables.

The number one thing Egg Roll King has going for them is their portion sizes!! Holy cow, you could literally feed half of Apple Valley with one of their lunch specials! The price is also very cheap for the amount of food. (I think I paid 6.50 plus tip)The quality of the food is not so stellar, and left me feeling sick about 3 hours later. Egg Roll Kings ideal customer is the high school kid who is broke and looking for high quantity of food, with not so much emphasis on quality.

Pretty good Chinese food, and ridiculously large portions. I ordered the combination which included two entrees and ham fried rice or lo mein for only $6. I think I received around two pounds of food for that price. Egg rolls were about $1 a piece. Definitely better than average eggrolls, better than most Chinese restaurants. I would recommend calling ahead for take out, as they are pretty busy during normal weekend hours.

I love me some cheap Chinese food, and this place is definitely cheap Chinese food. You get a ton of food for very little $$$. But I felt bad feeding this to my dog, I am 99% sure the chicken I got was not chicken. The rice tasted off. The cream cheese puffs were even bad! But service was great, food was prepared quickly, and hey I guess if you want Chinese cheap and fast and mostly edible, this is your place.

The food here was EXCELLENT and very flavorful. Theres a reason why this place is so busy -- I ordered online, but when I got there, everyone else coming in or ordering via phone, had up to an hour wait due to the amount of orders they were getting. Definitely worth it! I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant in the south metro.

Main courses are decent, they are large portions and taste pretty good. The "lo mein" and "fried rice" are just noodles or rice with an odd brown sauce added, not tasty or appetizing. Cost is on point with product. I still get their Sesame Chicken or Garlic Chicken when I go in, but the accompaniments are worthless.

Egg Roll King is the best! The combination plate is about $6 and you get so much food! Plus, the food is cooked to order, so its fresh every time, unlike Panda Express or Leeann Chin. Its not the most beautiful place to eat, so theres room for improvement there. But thats not why you go to Egg Roll King.

YUCK! This is the worst chinese food Ive EVER TASTED! I ordered fried chicken, sesame chicken , shrimp fried rice and some other things. EVERYTHING was nasty, im extremely disappointed because I spent so much money. Its safe to say I will NEVER eat there again and I dont recommend anyone else to either.

Hands down favorite Chinese take out place. Moved to St paul, and weve been SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY disappointed by the Chinese restaurants in the area. They dont compare to egg roll king, not even close. Their general tsos and hot and sour soup are my favorite. Eat here and you wont regret it!

Great food reasonable price huge portion. The lady who owns the place is really nice too. Ive been coming here for takeout for years and I love it. They also deliver and theyre always really quick. Always like 20 minutes or less to the other side of apple valley.

My absolute favorite Chinese Food Restaurant!! Ive been going here for about 5 years now and cant rave enough about this place. Great family, amazing food and huge portions for a small price! Doesnt get much better than that, try them out and thank me later.

Food was rubbery and bland... I ordered it online to have it delivered to me while at work. I look in the bag for a utensil and ask the driver if their was one, he responded with "no, sorry" and quickly ran out the door. Really disappointed in the service...

Since moving to the area this is the best option for Chinese takeout Ive found. Its not the best takeout Ive had (that honor belongs to Super Wok in Inver Grove Heights) but its pretty good. They are also one of only 2 places Ive found that deliver to us.

YUCK! I dont know how this place got such good reviews. I went here based on the reviews and was highly disappointed. Overly salty, slimy chicken, and very bland. Nothing good or original about this place. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

This place is great! Food is delicious and you cannot beat the value. Way better than any chain style Asian restaurants in the area (leann chin, panda express, etc), and if you live in Apple Valley they even deliver! Cant beat it.

Quick service (much faster than they quoted) and the driver was very friendly. I ordered the Mongolian chicken and Sesame chicken - both were pretty dang excellent. Would definitely recommend this place!

I am normally not a big Chinese fan, but Egg Roll king always throws it out of the part! If you want a really sweet, yet lightly hot orange chicken this place has the best within the metro.
