I took my wife to Ciao Bella for our first Valentines Day together. The restaurant is very nice inside, and there is plenty of parking. After we were seated, it took the waitress about 5 minutes to come ask us for our drink order. She was nice, seemed pleasant, but also just wasnt "on". After we ordered and she left, she came back and asked us if we wanted bread. This took 10 more minutes. She brought us our food. My wife enjoyed the lasagna. I ordered one of the specials of the day (Lobster with Risotto) which the lobster was very dry. It didnt come with butter, which may be the norm here, but if that was the case I would have expected the lobster to be less dry. It looked and tasted like it was under a warmer/precooked. The Risotto was wonderful. Before we left, the waitress picked up the signed check/bill and promptly opened it to see her tip. I feel she was judging my wife and I and upset we didnt go all out on food and drink. In short, the restaurant/food was better than our waitress. It may seem like I am being picky, but we were before the rush of dinner and a good waiter/waitress is more on top of things than this one was. The food/menu showed promise and we will be back, however when we do go, I sure hope we dont have the same waitress.

Tonight we went to Caio Bella for our 30th wedding anniversary. Weve been there before and had a fabulous experience, especially enjoying the sea bass! We chose this restaurant because we both wanted the sea bass again only to discover that, as the waiter initially said, "they were out" of sea bass. We were obviously disappointed and he then said, what had come in was not up to their standards. We then had to regroup and order something else. I ordered the walleye, which needed salt and I rarely use table salt. My husband ordered the new york strip steak, which he said was okay but tasted like the grilling steaks we often get at the local grocery store - nothing special. The waiter seemed to have to handle a very large area in the dining room and the service was very slow. My husbands steak came with french fries (which were excellent, by the way), he asked for catsup, that he never got! The waiter, to his credit, bought us a dessert, the Budini - it was great! A very disappointing experience though, as a whole!

We could not a reservation for 10 at 530 on a Sunday but 515 worked ? Why 15 minutes made a difference still not sure why. We arrived on time. Still had to wait five minutes to sit down. After we were sat down it took several minutes for our waiter to show up. We ordered a few drinks and it took over 15 minutes to get the drinks and we didnt see your waitress again. We then wanted to order and were able to order but it took quite a while she was nice but she just didnt seem like she was on the ball. Food arrived and most of it was good some people that ordered their food found that it was dry and it needed some extra sauce so we requested it. We finally had to ask again for it and when it showed up it was more like soup rather than white sauce. Overall I give it three stars because when you have mediocre service but good food thats what you rate.

Went for a late lunch with my son, not dressed up, but in casual clothes. Michelle our waitress was fantastic and treated us very well. My son had the ribeye sandwich that was delicious. I had the salmon special that I found VERY salty and reminded me of something that was thrown together for a Monday leftover meal. Michelle offered me something else, but since I had eaten half of it (I was starving) I declined. She and the manager had my second choice made for me to take home. Even though I wasnt happy with my meal, they wanted me to have something else to try and make our experience worthwhile. Kudos to a great staff - they are the ones that make a quality restaurant even better.

Excellent service and great food. We were really impressed. The bread is wonderful. They have put together a really nice wine selection. I thought that the filet mignon sandwich was amazing. The house cut fries are good although they may have set for a bit before they came out to the table. The creme brulee was fairly good but could be improved by carmelizing the top just before serving. One other minor thing, it was very busy when we were there but it would be good to have someone check on the cleanliness of the restrooms more often. However, despite a few minor suggestions, I still thought the place was one of the better restaurants I have been to in a long while and I will be back.

I had a wonderful experience at the Ciao Bella restaurant. The food was very well prepared. The portion sizes was not too big like I had first thought because they had two plate sizes for most of the entrees on the Dinner menu. The menu itself wasnt too big as well. My favorite part of my meal at the Ciao Bella restaurant was the dessert. I had the Budino and it absolutely scrumptious. The staff was very nice and open as well. They were very welcoming and willing to cater to any questions and requirements we had about any of the food on the menu. They were also very knowledgeable about the food itself and were able to make some great recommendations as well.

The best part about this restaurant is that its spacious and so showing up without a reservation isnt a big deal and you dont have to wait very long. Otherwise, the food is quite good with a lot of complex flavor. I highly recommend the heirloom grain salad and the tortiglioni rosa. Getting both will definitely leave you with leftovers (even with the half portions of both) but both are extremely hearty with a lot of complex flavor. Otherwise, the chicken risotto is also pretty good but may be too heavy or salty for some tastes. Bottom line: if you want nice Italian food at a reasonable price without a reservation, check this place out.

Food was delicious and server was great. Its a very busy place. Great Italian food. I ordered the spaghetti with large meatballs and it is one of the best spaghetti Ive ordered from a restaurant. Their chocolate cake was scrumptious! You might want to make a reservation if you plan on going there after 6, even on a week night. The second time my hubby and I went there was on a Tuesday night at 7 and the hostess said its a 45 mins wait. We waited for about half hour before we left. Their outdoor seating is beautiful, but unfortunately, there are smokers there smoking in the "designated" area stinking up the entire patio.

Restaurant nearly empty when my daughter , age 23, and I arrived on an early weekday evening. Yet, we waited to be seated while hostess fiddled with menus. The hostess neither looked at us nor greeted us. We were taken to the very back of the place to a table. I am wearing a suit. My daughter is dressed nicely. We were seated immediately next to a very very loud table of two. He man at this table was so loud he could call Bingo at Target Field. We waited. And waited. And waited. Water and menus were brought. And we waited. We ended up walking out having never ordered. I have not gone back and never will go back.
