First off a warning about dealing with this store, based solely off our own experience. ONLY PAY WITH CASH, the last time we were there they charged us for our order and some bogus order, that was a different amount. You would think, ok no big deal, well just go back to them and sort out the issue... well thats not how it turned out. It was a pain to get them (specifically the owner conny) to even look through the records. Once we convinced her to do that, she came up with our receipt with our signature on it & some other receipt, that had some other signature on it that wasnt even the same name. The transactions were back to back, so clearly the person after us had their order charged to our card, maybe the card reader wasnt cleared out or something. so, you would think at this point it would be like, ok, our mistake; let me fix that for you. but then she threw a huge fit about how we should be more careful about what we do with our card, and that is must be stolen & its not her fault & we shouldnt blame her & bug her for a refund and bla bla bla....... basically a bunch of groundless excuses, if the card was stolen why only 1 extra charge at the same restaurant right after our purchase. And excuse me for giving you our card to pay for our food & expecting you to charge us for only our order and not also the person after us. after arguing with her for maybe another 10 minutes after that we got her to give us the money she owed us. All in all, it took well over an hour to correct what was a simple mistake. As a result, we have been so infuriated with the restaurant over this incident that we have decided to never return to the restaurant. However, as I will attempt to write a somewhat balanced review of the restaurant, I feel obligated to offer my opinions on the rest of the establishment-disregarding their owners treatment of customer complaints. Food here used to be Excellent, however they have started to switch to lower quality/cheaper ingredients (mainly since switching to their new location) and it shows, food quality has definitely gone downhill. Although it is important to note that everyones taste in chinese cuisine is different. Day to day the foods taste & quality seems to vary greatly, I can only guess that there is a good cook & a bad cook(or some combination therein) that explains this. Decor at the new location is also not as good as the old, but still has oriental feel to it, and is acceptable, as its not really the function of the restaurant. Servers tend to be decent & courteous most of the time, however there are occasional exceptions as with most restaurants. However, I also feel compelled to mention that the service at this location is not as good as at the old location. All in all, if you want to eat here: go ahead. However, pay with cash (no way for them to double charge you or anything that way) & try the buffet first if its your first time there. If youre lucky you might hit them on a good day. If youre thinking of the old location across the freeway when you think of the food; dont bother going, the new location is merely a shadow of its former self & youll only be disappointed.

Easily compares to any bad frozen Chinese food you can get at the grocery store. Not worth the effort of driving there just to be disappointed by the lack of originality and seasoning, I asked for extra spicy and didnt get anything resembling something hot. Id say its craptastic because of the lack of effort to differentiate themselves from bamboo garden or ho king. At least the others deliver. Just bumped down to one star because of what I noticed on their menu, you can order "chicken" or "real chicken" haha ha. Id never eat at a place like this again.

Fantastic food. Everything is made by hand, fresh and to order. I used to go to Tom Moy weekly before I moved but now I make sure to stop by every time Im in or close to Cottage Grove. I believe that most of the complaints about the owner are based on cultural differences, as she is originally from China. Shes always been very sweet to me and makes a point to say hello to all of the customers, and she even remembers everyones name. The decor is quaint, Ive asked about the art on the walls and its all originally from China.

This was my go-to take-out Chinese place, no longer... Walked in, 10 minutes later someone asked if they could help me, and I said yes. He then turned around and walked away. 5 more minutes, he walked back and rudely said "What do you want?". Eventually, I got my phoned-in Lo Mien take out order. I wish I hadnt. I was up all night with heart burn, popping tums. Makes me wonder if it was old and reheated because it was first time this has happened. Sorry, Tom Moy, you lost a regular customer...

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered Szechuan special and for it to be spicy, was very bland and no heat at all. Spent over $60.00 for dinner for my family and asked for there house made hot mustard, they proceeded to charge me for a condiment. Not happy with the food nor the management, Last time eating here.

I have been getting take out there for over 25 years. From this location and the old one. they have wonderful soups and Fried Rices. Also love their beef and mushroom dish. I like the owners and take out staff are polite. I have only eaten inside 2 or 3 times.

Not great, but not all that bad. Three stars seem to be too much, but two not enough. Its just ok. Option on buffet was brocoli & meatballs??? Cheep meat. Dishes were not properly labeled.... was not quite sure what some items were.

Lunch buffet was discussing and disappointing. The "beef" was gray! The seeet and sour chicken was all breading, no chicken. Everything else was bland and oily!

Very below what you would expect froma place that has been around so long. Everything in the order was at best two steps below panda express in a mall.
