this place brought special traditional treats into our holiday season...real gingerbread cookies (moist, not too sweet, lots of molasses and dried orange like they used to make in the old country) and the most remarkable springerle cookies i have ever tasted, with lovely designs and delicate anise flavor. It is a rare thing in these parts now to find true delicacies at reasonable prices. Hamburg bakery does it with simplicity and honesty and we are hooked!

Same selection as the Pinckney Bakery which if you are familiar with them you would know they are the best donuts around. We used to go to the Pinckney Bakery every weekend but live in Hamburg Township ourselves. Went to check out the Hamburg Bakery and realized its the same selection! So saves me a drive and I still get the same delicious donuts and pretzels!

We are regulars at Hamburg Bakery! Leslie is so friendly and the donuts are hands down the best around! Great selection of pretzels and incredible German Christmas cookies seasonally. We also really love the paczkis on Fat Tuesday! Whenever I bring something from Hamburg Bakery home or to my office, there is sure to be a celebration!

GREAT donuts, pastries and pretzels, all of which they get from Pinckney Bakery. This bakery is closer to my house than Pinckney so Im happy. Just wish their coffee was as good as Pinckney Bakery...then they would get 6 stars!

LOVE this place. All the donuts and pastries are freshly made each day, and these guys really know how to make them. They also have pretzel sticks, and pretzels buns, filled with ham and cheese that they will warm for you.

You know why that semi truck driver crashed into that bridge on 8 mile in Whitmore Lake? Its because he had a donut from Hamburg Bakery & it was so good that he had an out-of-body experience and crashed the bridge.
