Chung Ki Was food was good but nothing extraordinary. The price for the food is decent. The staff is friendly but also rude. I know Im contradicting myself but let me explain and this is just from my personal experience. They welcome you and treat you kindly when you come in. At the end of our meal after paying and getting ready to leave,, our waitress voiced how she was not happy with the tips that we gave her. She started talking to one of our korean friend in Korean who was eating with us at the time asking us to give her more tip. Our friend was just dumbfounded as we were too. I understand the cultural differences and that in Korea you dont tip but here in the US it can vary from place to place and most likely you end up tipping for the service provided. Our waitress refused to speak to us and just kept talking in Korean. This went on for about 10 minutes. We had no idea what was going on. One of the other waitresses or the hostess came over to see what was going on and our Korean friend finally had the chance to explain to us what was going on and we just left. Dont get me wrong, the food is good and priced fairly; my complaint is with the service. Note: posting date is not a reflection of actual eat-in date.

This place was amazing. I came here with my mother on her birthday because shes always been obsessed with K-Dramas and was starting to crave the food. The waitstaff is incredibly kind and smiley, I honestly dont understand how people can complain. They make you feel like youre visiting a home rather than a restaurant. I feel like if youve complained about the waitstaff here, you were probably offensive to them first. My mom had ordered bulgogi and the waitress came and taught her how to scrape the rice and... spoon fed it to her. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. The food was also delicious. If youre looking for serious authentic Korean food, come here. Have an open mind about what youre going to eat and dont feel like you have to get the same-old, same-old. If you dont know what something is or how to eat it, please ask! They will absolutely answer you. I love this place and I plan on coming back at least once every month, please come here too.

The Korean barbecue is AMAZING. I was there as a group of three, and we were starving. We ordered a seafood pancake as an appetizer and figured that since we were famished we easily eat the Combo C (meant for 4 people). The absolutely friendly and hilarious lady who served us insisted that it was wayyyy to much for three and that we should stick to Combo B (meant for 3 people). True enough, she was right. We barely started eating half of our barbecue items and we were already half full. Needless to say, by the end of the meal we were just shy of being unable to eat it all. The meats were so tender and juicy, and the accompanying sides were absolutely refreshing. This place is authentically awesome! The combo even comes with alcohol, rice and soup. I will definitely return for a nice hearty meal!

Great place for authentic Korean food!! Wonderful ambience...a neat thing about this place is that they have burners in the middle of the tables that they will heat or prepare (depending on the dish) your food on in front of you! If you are new to Korean cuisine, I highly recommend their Dol Sot BI Bim Bop, a mixture of rice, vegetables, and a choice of chicken or thinly-sliced beef (or vegetarian, if you choose) that is served in a hot stone pot, so it continues to cook in front of you! Before the meal, they serve you an assortment of traditional Korean foods in appetizer portions, which they will continue to bring out for you.

First-time visit and the food was great! Rather pricey, but I guess for Angus beef, its comparable to many places prices. The wait staff was friendly and helpful to us first-timers, and we hadnt felt we were in the way, which as should be since the restaurant wasnt full. All the side dishes were tasty, and our bi bim bap, beef short ribs, and beef soup were full of flavor--as I remember Korean food to be in restaurants Id tried in Korea. Will visit again!

Chung Ki Wa is the best Korean restaurant in the Northeast suburb of Detroit. The spice is just right, not too sweet. The ingredients are in good quality, although they seems to be supplied frozen. However, having lived in Korea for 30 years, I have to say that Chung Ki Wa does not reproduce authentic Korean food. But it is understandable when very few restaurants in Korea support such large spectrum of menu in one kitchen.

I found this restaurant dirty!! There were cock roaches crawling up the wall and no one seemed phased about this! disgusting! Food is ok, waitresses work very hard but the owner is very disrespectful!! Yelling at waitress in front of customers so unprofessional. Would not go back again! I wouldnt even give this place one star but you have to or you can not post your complaint!

1st time having Korean Food and it was amazing! Very Nice Staff that made me feel like family, they took care of me very well (seeing it was my 1st time there and being confused) For new 1st timers like myself I Recommend the Bi Bim Bop ! Great Food, Fast Service and Big Portions! I will be going back!

Love their food, especially the BBQ. Been coming here for years, the only concern I have is sometimes the wait staff takes really long to get to you, more like they are understaffed especially during busy days. Other than that great korean food and fair prices.

Horrible service, serving ladies are rude, dont even smile and still are shameless enough to ask for more tip If you want a good atmosphere, good service and great food, go to Korea Palace and you will not be disappointed

Ive been going here since I was a kid when it was Seoul Garden. I LOVE THIS Place! Ive had Korean in many different states and cities in America and although a little pricey it is by far the BEST! Highly recommend!

I like the pork thete. But, I have got the terrible experience due to "Dirty plates and impolite services". I was very frustrated with the servers rudeness, and also that ruined my dinner with my friends.

Amazing korean BBQ! We use to cross the border just for this sometimes and it was well worth it. The waitress is always wonderful as well, and even cuts up the meat and cooks it for us!
