Decided to try this place since Sushi Ya on Crooks has completely tanked due to new management, dining style, sushi options and increased prices. Tokyo Seoul is my new favorite local sushi restaurant. I got the S4 Nigiri Special which included 5 pieces of nigiri + 1 california roll + miso soup + salad for $11! The nigiri was thick and fresh and the california roll was plump and delicious! It was an incredible dining experience! The chef also sent out a free sampler for us since they probably seen we were first-time customers. Well, it left an impression because Im writing about them now! Great place! Superb sushi! Friendly atmosphere! GREAT prices! GREAT value!

As a Korean, it is so hard to find an authentic Korean restaurant in Metro Detroit area. I have been following this chef for years. Seriously, the chef knows how to make good authentic Korean food and Japanese food. He lived and worked in Japan for years. I am so glad that he finally opened his own restaurant. This restaurant used to be a decent sushi place; but with his new ownership, it is a true hidden gem. My wife and I visited this place tonight and YES we confirmed it. Great food. Very well prepared. The RIGHT way as expected. Great service. Great price. Great environment.

I work with many Koreans who love to eat here and its easy to see why, the prices are reasonable and the food is fabulous. Having eaten here many times in the past year, I can safely say that everything Ive tried on this menu has been delicious. If youre coming for lunch, either be prepared to chase after your server to get your check paid, or budget time for a longer lunch because they are PACKED at lunchtime. It says a lot about the quality of the food that you will find this place full of Korean patrons.

The food and the service were superb! There were 3 of us dining and the server kept us well stocked on sides and drinks. We especially loved the yellow pickles and the cabbage kimchi the best with our tender Bulgogi, Chicken teriyaki and cant remember the name of the other dish but it was batter fried pieces of chicken with a spicy-sweet sauce. See the photos posted also! We will definitely be back for more!!

My family ordered Korean Chinese dishes and they were very good. We ordered Tang-su-yuk(sweet and sour pork, Korean style) and Jjam-pong(spicy seafood noodle soup). I recognize the new owner and chef who worked for Chung Ki Wa restaurant in Sterling Heights. He built good reputation among my friends who are regular to Chung Ki Wa.

I have to say that we have been coming here for more than a few years. I love the rolls and my daughter and her dad love the sushi boats. Walking into this place is like coming home. I love that the owners see us and take care of us whenever we come in. We always sit at the counter and we always have a wonderful time!

Went on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was dead. Sushi chef was more interested in his lunch and the TV than having some customers walk in. Spicy salmon was bland, with horrible mushy textured rice. Blah. No where near as good as the sushi place around the corner on crooks which is always fresh and good.

When we go the restaurant it just us and one other table, but very soon the restaurant started filling. There was only one server and made the experience not so great. The food was good, tho. I will give it second chance.

i loved this place. They serve amazing udon (and other japanese style) soups. Their sushi is amazing and affordable. They also have thai food that is good! Could use some alcoholic beverages though...

I feel like calling this a sushi spot is a bit of a misnomer as most of the people that i know who frequent the restaurant go for the Korean dishes, which are as good as it gets in the Detroit metro.

What makes this place stand out from any other sushi place is their service and food! Their sushi is so fresh and I always feel so welcomed by the staff!!

Tastes good, but this restaurant has unpleasant smell. When I visit there, I would like to open door. I wanna get fresh air, indeed!
