"Moldy food served, No apology or replacement, and being yelled at and insulted. The most absurd experience I’ve ever had in any restaurant" I ordered a plate of tempura shrimp, however, when I bit into the shrimp, I smelled a rotten odor in it and the shrimp had a strong taste of mold. I couldn’t keep chewing so I spat it out and told a waitress about it. The female manager came and I asked her to try it, saying that the shrimp might have a problem in it. She tore off a bit of the tempura shrimp and tried, and said that she couldn’t taste anything weird about it. Then, she simply left without taking any care of the situation, no apology and no replacement, dismissing it as “fine”. I didn’t want to start an argument, so I didn’t ask a replacement. However I did not tip (Who wants to give a tip after being served extremely expensive moldy food!). The manager yelled at me asking why I did not give a tip, saying the service is one thing and the meal is another. I told her that I would be willing to give a tip to the waitress if the manager would give a refund for the moldy food. Then, she kept yelling at me, insisting that the food had no problem and that my tongue was the one with the problem, not the shrimp. She is just ridiculous. (The moldy taste was obvious. if she couldn’t taste it, she must stop running a restaurant). This is unimaginable customer service. The manager has no responsibility, morality or even plain common sense. She clearly needs to learn about the basic business ethics and the food inspection needs to be done more thoroughly to this place so that they won’t serve crappy food anymore.

I went to Silla for the last time today. I only tried it again because it was my friends birthday. My original opinion was reinforced and then some... We inquired about our food choice, described what we wanted and they told us only what we wanted to hear. They seemed to have purposefully left out some very critical details... AND they tried to up-sell us... When they finally brought the food, I told them it wasnt what they described and they literally brought the menu over to me, pointed at it and proved that I was wrong... I informed them that this was no way to run a restaurant business; I am the customer, you shouldnt talk back to me! After our little altercation, they offered to replace it with what I thought it should be. I said I didnt want to pay for the replacement, they kind of tricked me into agreeing to something and brought it anyway... I walked up to pay, me and my friend ended up with the same thing. After I clearly told her ONE CHECK, she charged me for mine only (I thought she was making peace after arguing with me), but then stopped us as we tried to leave insisting he pay too! ...AND I had just given her a big tip because I thought she had given us one bowl for free. Arguing with her ended up with her threatening us... I left with some very expensive average tasting Korean food and a very strong feeling that Ive been horribly cheated. I will never be back ever again. I usually dont say things like this, but I will truly celebrate when this place goes out of business. Worst place Ive ever eaten in all of Columbus.

Im friends with several veterans (being one myself) who missed the Korean fare often found around military bases. Theyd tried Kaya, the most known Korean place in town. Like me, found it lacking. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt good either. I then found Silla. First off, people who give this place a bad rating have likely never had non-Americanized Korean food. Silla is VERY authentic. When I told the guys about this place, they all raved about the food. Not only tasty, but nostalgic of the cuisine wed all grown to love. I get the Spicy Pork Bulgogi nearly every time I go, as it is out of this world. That, along with all the little plate appetizers that come with every meal round out a great dinner. When I say spicy on this dish, I truly mean spicy. Unless you ask for it to be made mild, itll curl your hair. If you like Korean food, dont water it down. My wife loves the Kalbi. She has a penchant for sweet beef dishes. This place is a bit difficult to find. Pull into the plaza where the Sears Hardware store sits. Between the hardware store and the sports bar on the corner, there is a footpath alley. Go down the alley and halfway through, theres the door. My only negative about the place would be the carpets. They are a bit old and smell like fry oil. The food makes up for it, without a doubt.

I wish I had an option to give this restaurant no star at all. I have never felt this humiliated in any restaurant. Worst service ever doesnt come close to describe my experience at sSilla. I put in a to go order and they had said they were busy so it will take about 30 minutes. I said okay and left my house accordingly. When I got there, they havent even started my order and said it was going to take them extra 30 minutes for my order. Supposedly, one of the new server forgot to place my to go order in. Mistakes happen, I just wanted to know if they could make my order a priority since Ive been waiting so long. The server brushed me off like it was no big deal for me to wait for an hour to get my lunch, when I received no apology from any staff, I demanded to talk to a manager. Their "boss" came out and yelled at me for bringing her out from the kitchen because she was in process of making my order. She said by talking to her Im only making myself wait longer. She yelled at me "cancel or wait?!?". Thinking back, Im still furious. I do not recommend this restaurant. I dont see how the restaurant is surviving under a manager as ridiculous as she is.

Went here with my husband on a Saturday night at around 9pm after drinking at some local bars and we loved it. Wed never had Korean food before, but husband had beef dumplings and I had a California roll and we were very happy with our food and service was perfect. Dumplings were delectable, surrounding a raw shredded cabbage salad with some kind of spicy red sauce that we couldnt get enough of. Sushi was delicious, wasabi very fresh. Shared a large korean beer. Waitress brought six or seven little bowls of appetizers to our table, which we werent expecting, and we found ourselves scarfing the potatoes (reminiscent of General Tsos sauce and texture), the zucchini in a spicy red sauce and the cold cabbage salad. All were explosions of unexpected and strangely addicting tastes. As a side bonus, we both realized we didnt feel "weighed down" after the meal, as often happens with burgers and fries. Felt light and satisfied. Cannot recommend enough and we are already looking forward to a return visit.

I really like the menu at Silla lots of interesting dishes including the one my husband and I had which was a hot pot of dumplings, rice noodles, vegetables, hot sauce and spam. Yup, I said spam. It was so out there we had to try it. They served several banchan (side dishes) including kimchi, potatoes, tofu and pickled zucchini. Delicious! The only thing we didnt like about Silla was the terrible service. I asked for hot tea at the beginning of my meal and never got it. I asked another two times, still didnt get it. We were only refilled once on our water and my husbands iced tea and thats only because we were waving like to nomads lost at sea from our little island of a table. If you are willing to put up with possibly waiting for awhile for things like refills or your waitress to even check on you, youll be rewarded with a very good menu and excellent food.
