As an owner of a digital agency that prides itself on its location independence - this place is everything I dream for and more!!! Off the beaten path of Royal Oak, its really easy to get here and my favorite parking structure is a block away (clean with elevators). The digs are drenched in sunlight (thanks to a corner location with floor to ceiling windows) with a mix of poshy, eclectic, fun, rustic and professional furniture and textures; work spaces are thoughtfully dotted throughout the open-air front of house with a more professional set up toward the back (tables, desks and hightops and a low-volume-TV). I am currently sitting in the window on a high-back, upholstered love seat feeling like a CEO-queen-of-the-day; even the simple chairs at the tables are wrapped in forgiving padded leather - perfect for hours and hours for productivity! The space achieves what I imagine most home/office/business designers strive for - to be beautiful & functional without being distracting. The staff is welcoming and unpretentious. Honestly, if they were serving up tar in tin cups I would put up with it to have a work space as lovely as this, but the coffee is really good too - I even like the cups! A few cool tidbits - 1. 5% of all sales go to a donation of your choice - choose from four. I hope to see an animal-charity soon. (. /\_/ .)>^,^< (_(__) 2. You can rent space by the hour, events or conference room or private office. Perfect for client meetings. 3. Theres print and copying on site 4. Free Wi-Fi (of course) BONUS TIDBIT: Its kitty corner from Ronin - a popular sushi spot with an even more popular happy hour. What else could a girl ask for? Well, start offering wine after 6pm and I may have to move in or at least really, really, really close by. :) Well done, Office Coffee Shop team! My 11+ years experience as a laptop-centric business owner, I have sat in cafes across the globe. You are one of my favorites.

TL;DR: Place looks cool, bad customer service, and coffee that turns bad within minutes. Oh, and only dark roast was served. This is not a real coffee shop. First impression: The place looked nice, but, as we walked in, with ample time to closing, I immediately got the death glare from the "barista," signaling that we better not keep them there overtime. Next warning sign: My coffee was done within seconds of ordering. No quality coffee is done within seconds. I wish I got a better look at the machine that was being used, but we were already getting directed out the door, by the workers. Warning sign tres: Said barista is now wiping tables right by us, hinting yet again to leave. We still have time until closing. The final straw: When we left, after only being inside for maybe five minutes, I continued to sip my latte. It was already extremely bitter, to the point that I had to throw it away with half of the drink left. Do not go here.

Love the idea and the concept. This location is a great coffee shop with ample room to study and doubles as a new business office. The Office coffee shop has presentation rooms, conference rooms and space that you can rent for small business or colleague get togethers. The food and snacks are pretty good and the coffee is good. I think it is nice that they donate to a rotating charity every month. The owner is a really good guy as well!

Went to Western Michigan University, and loved the coffee found in he Kalamazoo area. None of the coffee around here compared. Its great to see a coffee shop right around the corner that has delicious coffee and and a fresh, open, modern atmosphere. as a WMU alum, its cool that the owner is also an alum.

My favorite coffee shop. I go here at least twice a week. I have meetings here all the time. It is a really good place to do work and speak with people. Most of the time you can get a parking spot on the street. Only down side is you better have quarters or else you might get a ticket.

This is my favorite place to get work done. Great location, great food and drink, and I love that I can rent out space as needed. The owner Mike is down to earth and is very benevolent. A portion of each purchase goes towards a non-profit of your choice!

My favorite spot for meeting with clients and fellow Royal Oak Chamber members. The Alternative Connection (Chamber business referral group) meets here while construction on new 2nd street parking is happening - Thanks Mike

My favorite coffee shop in the area. Lots of study space and outlets, good wifi, and they even have printers available if you need them (including a 3D printer). And they donate a percentage of every purchase to charity.

I had a great first experience. Theres a good variety of tables and comfy chairs to work from. The food and drink is good, and if you need privacy for a business call you can rent one of the private offices by the hour.

Lots of room and spread out enough to not feel crowded. I really enjoy spending my afternoon working here instead of in the real office. Also the coffee is good and they donate to charity on every purchase.

I love the hand made tea bags that they use for the tea. The seating area is super cozy and has a welcoming feeling. They have a small selection of pastries to choose from as well, which are tasty .

I was at the shop for an event so my experience was perhaps different than a normal visit may be, but the place was very nice, there people were great, and I would definitely go back on my own.

Great place for knocking out a little work between meetings, having first interviews, etc. Set up is exactly right- not too dense or too spread out. Well done!

Great coffee, great atmosphere, great food. About 50-75 cents more per item than a Starbucks, but definitely worth it.
