Ive been coming to Oishi with my father every Wednesday for almost two years, and Ive only ordered the Sushi & Udon lunch special save for an unusual dinner I wound up eating here. I started coming other days, too, on my lunches and Ive never --- never --- had a bad or subpar experience eating here. Everyone --- including the sushi guys behind the bar and the owners --- are the nicest bunch of people Ive ever seen at a restaurant. The food comes swiftly and is prepared perfectly each and every time. Youd think Id get sick of eating the same thing once or twice a week for 100+ weeks but, just as the name implies, its delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough and I evangelize constantly about it.

We ate @ Oishi for dinner this week, and Im sorry to say we will probably never be going back. We only ordered sushi and tempura. I will say the sushi part of the menu is lacking good descriptions when ordering a Basic California roll for my less adventurous 12 yr old I expected the standard crab cucumber avocado. Instead we received what I would describe as inside out crab mayo rolls. Ill stick with noble fish or xushi ko or even Kyoto in Royal Oak

I dont understand how people can give this anything under a 5 star. I started off with the salmon rice balls, which the rice was cooked beautifully. Then for my entree I got Katsu cury which was beyond amazing. It has a rediclus around of flavor and for 10 bucks you can top it! Service was also really good. She did not know much English but she still tried and keeped a smile.... I dont know how someone can rate this place under a 5 star.

Worst sushi Ive had in years!! Ordered the salmon lovers and it was the most boring sushi Ive ever eaten... In the roll was literally just salmon and avocado... No sauce or cream cheese... Nada.. And the other half of the order was plain salmon on rice.... Had to ask for some sauce on the side just to be able to get it down... And for $19 so not worth it.

Out of all the Japanese restaurants & bars in the area. Oishi is the best by far. The staff are so pleasant and helpful, the food is beyond amazing & always made perfectly, & the atmosphere inside is so cool! If you want the real deal & the feeling of being in Japan? Then you must go to Oishi! Plus they are open till 2am now on Fridays and Saturdays! :D

I was craving udon so gave this place a try. Loved the noodles as well as several traditional Japanese appetizers. My friend had sushi and I ended up eying his plate lustfully. He reports that the fish was supremely fresh and flavorful. Service was sharp and friendly. Dining on the outdoor patio toward sunset was very pleasant.

Excellent experience overall. The space is very nice cozy and comfortable. The staff is kind and helpful. Food was excellent; we got the duck hot pot (nabe), the shoyu and champon ramen also tried some sushi rolls. Everything was delightful, left the place with a full belly and a happy heart.

The WORST experience ever of Japanese food in this area!!! And they CHANGED TIPS amount by themselves after we left!!! The food is very much below the average, and the service is terrible! We will contact our bank and they will get nothing for everything they do!

A bit pricey, but it is sushi. Went here for work so didnt need to pay for my meal but the sashimi was great! Got the chirashi bowl and some tuna I think. Very satisfied with the meal. The server didnt help much with reccomendations but thats okay.

Authentic Japanese place, definitely try the teriyaki. Lael Grylls, who gave this one star, is a MORON. An absolute moron. Salmon lovers is a great dish that doesnt have cream cheese because its JAPANESE, not American-Japanese. What an absolute donut.

Miso ramen wasnt that good. Sushi was best. Age dashi tofu wasnt good either. Would still come back to try other dishes. Place had good service and clean atmosphere. Nice interior.
