Good but not great. Its nice to have a new BBQ place but they fall short on flavor. I ordered a half rack of ribs (which was a generous portion) and the greens and baked beans as the side. All of this lacked any flavor. It was all edible, but nothing really wowed me. The ribs were quite fatty and had a very soft texture. Personally, I enjoy my ribs with a bit of density on the meat. The sauces are quite good and helped to add a bit of needed punch to the food. The big disappointment was a lack of any real deserts. The waitress was confused as to what was even offered. In the end, the only thing they offered was a banana pudding/foster. Service was a bit slow too, but we were the only people there on a very snowy day so maybe they just didnt want to hang around the table too much. Not a big deal. On the plus side, they have a very nice beer selection and drink options. Plus, their menu is quite extensive. Drinks, large menu offerings, and average food means I will go back again to try other items.

I’ve eaten here a half dozen times since they opened in Milford. The ribs are packed with meat in contrast to a lot of ribs which give you lots of fat versus little meat. I ordered a full slab the first time and took the other half home it was so much. They dry rub their ribs, then let you choose which sauce to put on it once it reaches your table. You can pick from about six, though the Carolina Gold is my favorite. Memphis is more what you would consider traditional rib sauce. We’ve also enjoyed the Carolina pulled pork sandwich which comes with the slaw and pickles on it. Just splash some sauce on top and you’ve got a 100% great meal! The Cowboy Wedge is great for the people who may be watching their weight but still want to eat! I’ve eaten a lot of ribs in my time. This place offers one of the best selections of that genre you will find in Michigan. Each time we’ve been here the service has been professional, well trained and the manager is usually roaming the room.

I so badly wanted to like it better. My son wanted to go there for his birthday because he loves the place. Im not a big BBQ person, but they had a salmon dish I knew I could order, salmon, yum! How can you mess that up right? I guess you can, and unfortunately it was extremely dry, to the point it had the consistency of an overcooked chicken breast. My son didnt have time to stick around for a while so I didnt send it back. I had the baked beans, coleslaw, and of course the cornbread which were all delicious. I know they had steaks at one time, and wish they had at least one more dish as a none BBQ item. I did take my leftovers home, since its a pricey dish and wasnt going to waste it. Later that night I wanted to eat the leftovers. I steamed it a bit, used some lemon but there was no way I could finish it. I couldnt just throw it out, so I gave it to my friends dog. She loved it and it was good for her.

We stopped for lunch after a round of golf at Kensington Metro Park. The menu looked like it had good variety. I had the Caesar salad with blackened salmon. It was very fresh and the salmon was perfectly done. My wife had another salad and had BBQ chicken added. The salad was very fresh, but the only complaint was that the chicken was actually not all that great. We expected something very tender as it was described as pulled chicken, but in fact, it was strips of chicken without a lot of flavor. Besides that disappointment though, everything else was really good. Service was very friendly and attentive, and the inside feel is nice. During our time there, the sun came out and they opened up the "garage door" which made the restaurant open air to the street. Nice!

We had the 3 taco appetizer and the hogs sampler platter. I was disappointed. The brisket was so dry and not smokey at all, the pulled pork was moist, but not enough seasoning and not smokey at all. The sausage and corn bread were pretty darn good. French fries were cold, coleslaw tastes like straight up vinegar and not enough side dish options and barbecue sauce options. The meat on the taco s were dry and did not taste any cilantro it said it had. Lockharts in Lake Orion and The Woodshop in Clarkston are far superior. However, the prices here are less than the other two, but honestly I like dickies fast food Barbeque equal to this. I was disappointed because it had great reviews, wonder if the reviewers ever had really good Barbeque.

We went on a Friday night around 7 and it was packed! The place started to clear up around 8:30-9, so if you dont want to wait, go later. But the wait is definitely worth it for the amazing food! Also, food came pretty quickly for how busy it was. Kind of lacking on the beer/cider menu, but you can find something to drink with what they have. You get a lot of food for what you order. We ordered the Mess o Fries and got a giant plate (double what we were expecting based on the price). Based on that, we split the Boss Hog Combo, and left with a ton of left overs. Parking was a little rough, but if you dont mind walking there are a bunch of public parking lots close by.

I am a frequent Union Woodshop diner...and this place is definitely level with the food. I love the atmosphere, it is definitely quieter and the food is phenomenal. We went with some friends who have ate here before and they suggested the cheesy bread as an appetizer, you MUST try it! I ordered the ribs and chicken combo with mac n cheese and mexican corn on the cob...it was amazing. They have HUGE portions so I had tons left over. Oh and you have to try the collard greens, my friend had them and she says they are not only great but she said it was the number one best collard greens shes ever had!

Smoke Street has amazing food and service. I usually get the BBQ chicken salad and its always good. The cornbread is also amazing. Pretty much anything you order, you cannot go wrong. At some point my family waited over an hour for seating, granted we had 8 people. The staff apologized for our long wait and we ended up getting free dessert. I would recommend anyone in Milford or visiting Milford to go to this local establishment at least once!

I have eaten at Smoke Street BBQ many times, and have frequented since they first opened. To be honest the quality of the food has dwindled since they first opened. The last few times I have dined at Smoke Street BBQ I can honestly say that I regrettably ate there. The service and staff are friendly, but unfortunately the food quality has fallen victim to the trendy BBQ fad and become yet another mediocre BBQ joint.

Absolutely the best! It has the greatest pulled pork sandwich and bbq brisket sandwich. I always get an order of their fries- delicious! Their cornbread is incredible. Their staff and service are really friendly and helpful. Its great when you find servers that are personable to the customers. Perfect bar to watch a sports game or meet up with friends. I highly recommend it. Excellent!
