We had our wedding at the hotel last summer. I feel the need to write a review to warn other potential brides. The upstairs rooms are shabby, not in any chic way and the wedding package lacked a lot of the basics. The wedding planner, Kim, is very friendly, but not detail oriented and she isnt on top of things. The issues: the wedding planner lost our cake picture the day before the wedding texting me urgently to send another, We had to send her the groupon codes several times, the men had to dress in the very old bathroom, although we asked repeatedly we were not given a rehersal so my bridesmaids didnt know where to stand and the person dealing with the music wasnt prepared causing some odd moments, the dressing room for the bride is bright yellow (which makes for terrible pictures of the bride and her ladies getting ready), lacks a proper area to hang the dresses (the stand fell over when we tried to put our hanger on it so we ended up laying the dress on the couch), has a beaten up old mirror, was extremely hot since it didnt have air or a fan, the door itself was very battered, the couches were very worn with springs showing and they were uncomfortable. I was embarrassed. We had to ask for snacks in the dressing room and felt like we were putting them out for that and ended up with about 10 cheese cubes and a few crackers. When our guests arrived, there was no one to seat them for the ceremony, people were sent upstairs and given no more guidance. We worked with their florist and told her we wanted the flowers at 3pm, the flowers arrived at 5:45 for the 6pm ceremony. That meant I didnt get any pictures with them since we took pictures before the ceremony. There was no explanation given or apology. The planner met us at 3pm and handed us off to a 20 year old waitress who was in charge of our wedding. We asked many times to meet with the planner and she was busy elsewhere. She had promised to show me special places to take pictures and never did. Also, after the ceremony everyone was sent tot he hallway to stand awkwardly as we looked around for someone to guide us as to what to do next! The cake was disappointing, it tasted good but the quality of the decoration wasnt as I expected. And frankly one of the cakes wasnt the flavor we had asked for. I know the planner had written it down correctly, but I was disappointed when I saw that. I didnt get to taste that cake. The cake was cut so that there was none left over and everyone only got one piece, including me. As far as the cost, we bought the groupon for 50 people. We ended up with only 40 paying $4k. I would have liked a discount for the 10 people or at lease a coupon for future dinners. The young people who served the dinner were amazing. Everyone was impressed with them. If I had to do it again I would use my money in a better way.

Sunday buffet is not too good -- actually horrid. For the price, we expected chef quality food items. If this food was prepared by a chef, he needs to be fired and they need to hire a new chef. Omelets are skimpy and added vegtables are cut in tiny pieces and are pre cooked, soggy and skimpy and have been sitting around for hours. The person preparing the omelet had no idea what he was doing. No cheese choice and i did not like the cold cheese thrown on top instead of melted inside. Neither myself nor my husband could find the items we ordered in our omelets because they were diced so small. Meat choices are few. Sausage pattys or ham would have been nice. This time it was greasy, tough , overcooked sausage links and cold prime rib that had been sitting out for hours, not even under a heat lamp, and was way over cooked, dry, and tough. Bacon was also offered but it was medium rare and extremly fatty and like rubber -- disgusting and probubly unsafe to eat because the burner had gone out and it was barely warm. The piece of prime rib being sliced from was the size of a deck of cards and looked like the dark end that was left over from another time. WAY overcooked, dry and unseasoned. Roasted potatoes and soggy squash and onions was tasteless and wet. No other potato choice -- hash browns or diced potatoes would have been appreciated. Burner had gone out and veggies were cold.French toast was way overly sweet and soggy and was also barely warm. Let us top our own french toast please. Salad was Ok but no dressing choices. Server was nice but very slow. Both my husband and myself got bad diarrea a short while after leaving. Folks-- this buffet is pathetic for the price they are charging. If it hadnt been a Sunday I would probubly have called the health department. Really -- you would be better off to hit the breakfast bar at Big Boys. ( and also saved yourself a boat load of money). I loved the environment here so we bought a membership and now I am sorry I did. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I hope they do better for lunch and dinner off the menu. Even then , the food choices look a little funky. Never again will we do the sunday buffet.

Went there 11-4-16 for dinner. Our 1st time. Everyone was extremely friendly. Our server Steve, was knowledgeable and efficient. The atmosphere is quaint and romantic. All entrees are $30+. They come with the soup of the day, which was pumpkin soup. If you dont want pumpkin soup, you must pay an extra $7 for their French Onion soup. My wife doesnt like pumpkin, so she opted for the FOnion. It comes with a pastry dough cooked on top which looked great. Unfortunately, there were hardly any onions and the cheese was melted to the bottom of the bowl. It was basically a broth with fancy pastry on top. She was disappointed. Next were the salads and both had more white lettuce than green. My Greek salad had almost no feta. We were both disappointed. At this point were thinking, for $30+, shouldnt we get a choice of soup and green lettuce in our salads. Next were the entrees and they saved our meal. My wife loved her whitefish and my short ribs were beautifully tender and seasoned perfectly for me. This was the best short ribs Ive ever had. We went to comedy club after. If you go, dont get table 21. Its close to the door and the waitress area.. where theres a lot of background chatter. It was hard to hear at times. The first two comics were good but the last guy decided to focus his act on attacking Christianity. Not to our liking and apparently most people around us. About halfway thru his act, the tables around were just talking among themselves and no longer listening. For me, comics should stay away from religion, politics and other polarizing topics. Yes there were some people who loved this guy... but not us and apparently not the people who got up to leave before he was done.

Had dinner last night and right from the start it was obvious that the owner stopped caring about the place. No one greeted us because the host/hostess was also the waiter/waitress. After being sat the whole meal experience and service was marginal at best. It took forever and all four times we had to ask for the refill of our beverages. At one point our waitress actually rested the entree of the table next to us on a busing tray as she served the first entree-class at its finest! My wife and I both have Celiac (a Gluten allergy) but were not offered anything to replace the "bread course". The meals we had were okay, substandard for the prices they charge, not even sure that the steak was a tenderloin, my veal chop had about a 7oz bone in it that was included in the 12oz. advertised portion for $40. I also had some unidentified crunchy things in my food that I could only assume was grille scraping, I of course asked my server to ask the chef if he could identify it for me but she never bothered to get back to me. We considered at the beginning becoming members but after our experience, not a chance.I would be embarrassed to bring friends or clients here You cant charge these prices and give the poor service and so-so food that we received. Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else. Im sure this place was good in the day but Im betting they are out of biz soon.
