Been getting fresh hot onion rolls since I had the paper route from Dumfries to the bridge back in the day when I delivered the Detroit Free Press I used to pick up my papers on Warning then go over and get one or two hot fresh onion rolls every morning love the place when theyre open I go by the store and pick them up right from the bakery or I go to Gonellas and pick my Hard crushed bread thats my favorite

Oldest oven in the state 110 years pumping out quality products like no other, find the fine bread products all over metropolitan Detroit, go into the front of bakery for many great fresh deals all boxed. Kinda hard to find well worth the trip. Get that Famous Rye bread and breadsticks too. Save a little dough right at the Famous Bakery

Best bakery ever. Grew up eating it , now live in Chicago area and travel in for it. Wish I could order it online. There are no bakeries in Chicago that even comes close. Rye, pepperoni rolls, flat bread... are out of this world!

Im 100% biased, but I have been eating bread from Oakwood since I can remember. Old school, bread only bakery housed within a couple old houses. Just bread, nothing else.
