Worst Customer Service Ever! Very unprofessional, and unacceptable .I ordered a cake on April 1st for my husbands birthday , for April 29th. I showed Lauran the Bruce Lee birthday cake that I wanted. I asked Lauren could they make this cake she said yes charged me and told me to email her the cake and told me to go to Walgreens or Rite Aid to print out the picture I wanted ,I did that and confirm that she got the email .I asked her would it be shiny like the cake I seen at another place she told me itll be exactly like that but you need to get a glossy picture made I did that , and took it to her . She told me the decorator was going to charge me additional money again for the detail again I said no problem .The day before the event they call me and told me I never brought them the picture and they never got the email for the cake I wanted made ,one hour before theyre closing , the day before the event and they already charge me over $100. Then ten minutes later called me back and said they did find it . I go the next day theres no stars around the cake that I paid extra for the detail , and the picture had not been blown up over the cake ,very dull picture of a totally different cake .The owner Dori told me she never got the email so they made my cake blindfolded ,they shouldve called me ahead of time if they couldnt make it so I could have gone somewhere else and got my cake done . They also put the name over the cake that was supposed to be on the side of the cake .I was not happy with the cake or the customer service.This was an unpleasant experience Ive been going there for six years .They wouldnt take any responsibility.As a result I pay over $100 for a cake that I did not get

Been going here for 7 years, and they havent disappointed me once. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but I all but once ordered a cake that was not in their books and they have gone above and beyond to make my kids birthday cakes. I just showed them a picture of what I wanted and they created it. Once they had did a cake exactly how I wanted, and one of the decorators said it looked a little plain and she asked me if she could decorate it a little more so I said yes. Ten minutes later it looked even better! Very delicious cakes and cookies. Nicely decorated inside and clean. Never had a problem with the staff. Very kind and professional. Very happy customer!

I have to admit when planning our wedding, the cake wasnt a big priority for either of us and we choose Sweet Nothings only because of the location. We really got lucky because SN has amazing cakes and they are delicious too! Fiona was pleasant to work with and and they were very accomadating even when we had to add an extra cake 3 days before the wedding! I was really pleased with the service. We had a pretty amazing wedding and the cake is one of the biggest things people talk about! Many people said they tried both of the flavors that we selected because it was that good!

I love this place. Ive never felt like an inconvenience, even when I run in at 6pm. Dorey and Fiona are championship cake decorators. All the other girls, Mary, Alyssa & Pam know what I want when I go in. Been getting my cakes there for nearly ten years (when they were in Lincoln Park). The cakes are heavenly. My son & his wife got their bridal shower and wedding cakes from SN. They had such a great tasting experience. When the married, each tier was a different flavor. I cant believe theyve been around for so long! Nobody retires til I die, you hear me? :)

The cake turned out cute but had a few hiccups. I wanted the clean look on parts and they refused to work with fondant per my request. Characters were also supposed to be made. Lastly , they forgot to make my 1 year old his smash cake so 1 hour before his party i had to sit and wait while they threw something together. It wasnt a bad enough experience to where I wouldnt return but if your deal is custom cakes , you design to the customers specifications (within creativity limit), not how you think something should be.

I had an R2D2 cake made for my husbands surprise 40th. Not only did the cake look AWESOME!!! the amount of detail she added was spot on. It tasted great and everyone was taking pictures of the cake to show their friends. I am still getting comments on this cake and its been months since the party. She was easy to work with and listened to exactly what I wanted. I will recommend Sweet Nothings to everyone who wants a specialty cake of any kind. Michele G.

Had an awesome baby shower cake from here. It was adorable-- like youd find a cute cake on Pinterest and think, "I dont think I could find a place that is this good." I thought it looked like it could be on a cake show or decorating competition. There were a lot of compliments, and it also tasted fantastic. It was almost too cute to cut, but then I remembered I was pregnant and nothing will keep me from eating cake.

The cakes tasted great, and the price wasnt bad. But the designs I wanted for my custom cupcakes and smash cake were not what I expected. With it being the day of our event, I had to just take the cake because I didnt have any other option at that point. I payed for a more elaborate, professional looking design and the actual outcome was less than.

Sweet nothings? More like sweet NOTHING. Most bakeries have a display of cakes for people to buy that are on display. I went there and they had nothing available. In fact, when I inquired about something they had on display, they told me it was already for an order. If its not for sale, dont display it in your case! What a joke!

Asked for a half and half cake with cheerleading, riverview, and emu incorporated altogether.. Had a sketch and everything. Was super satisfied when I left. Got my cake and it looks nothing like we agreed on. Too plain, not worth the money. Shouldve just gone to Meijer. Ill never go back.

Oh my gosh!! I absolutely cannot say enough great things about Fiona and her wonderful crew!! We have been ordering original cakes from her for years now and anyone that can make an armadillo cake like the amazing one she did for my sisters shower has our familys business for life!!

Delicious cake and looked great but the cake was done an hour later than promised and they didnt notify us of that until 20 minutes before original pick up time, When we got there to pick it up, they didnt even apologize for the delay or inconvenience!

I could not believe it when I picked up my cake. I had compliments all evening and people asking who did the cake. I would have Sweet Nothings any of my parties. Wonderful service and excellent baking artwork. Highly recommended.

I dont really like cake, I am more of a cheese cake person, but I love the cakes from Sweet Nothings. We had them make our wedding cake and have several birthday and random cakes over the years.
