Most of the cashiers are rude and disinterested in their jobs. The bottle return never has hand sanitizer when I go there. The bathrooms are also usually absolutely disgusting. I asked an employee in general merchandise area where travelers pillows were and he was very unenthusiastic while telling me to follow him as if I was bothering him and the whole time I was following him I could smell a horrible odor from him, very unsanitary to allow employees to come into work smelling that strong. I was following far behind him and could still smell him. I cant believe they would allow an employee to come in and work with such bad hygiene. I also see employees standing around reading the weekly sales papers or standing around texting instead of working and standing right in the way of customers trying to shop and they wont even move out of the way. I shop at Meijers all the time but this is by far the worst one Ive ever been to. I usually go out of my way just to go to a different Meijers just to avoid shopping here because of how rude the staff is. I cant believe a store this big managed to hire almost an entire staff of rude and lazy people.

I shopped at 1:30 pm on a Wednesday - not the first of the month or anything. I was surprised to see the parking lot was quite crowded. People are shopping; this is good. I was there for fruit & ice cream. It was hot outside. I went to the 12 items or less check out lane. There were 4 in front of me. All the other open check outs were way at the other end of store. I waited in line for at least 10 minutes while every customer had problems with the credit card readers. Most ended up paying cash because the cards werent reading. Some were ok. Im not usually in a hurry at all but I wanted to spend my ice cream melting time on the 4 mile drive home & not in the fast lane in the store. Its good that there are lots of folks shopping in the store but you need to open more checkout lanes. Im not using self checkouts. They replace humans. At a competitors store, they offer to help with my dog food to my car. I like that.

Vegetarian frozen food item I buy regularly at Krogers or Whole Foods was on sale here for $2.99. Sign said on sale until June 25. All the products that they carry by this company were on sale for $2.99. I have gone twice to buy this one item in particular knowing on sale till the 25th. Made special trip to stock up but this item NOT on sale any longer but the other varieties still were - till the 25th per the same sign. I asked a store employee about this and it was pointless. She couldnt comprehend my question about why this one variety no longer on sale until the 25th like it was. Simple question. Odd to remove one item from the sale they advertised. Maybe it sold too well? This is false advertising. Plus, the employee - or someone very near her - had horrendous B.O. Pungent! I stopped trying to get an answer and left. Otherwise, this store ok but the check out lines so slow. Kroger much better.

I went today to the store waiting on self-checkout, and the machine wasnt working. I asked for help, and I was waiting and waiting, and the lady told me she would fix it, and she left me waiting. I saw another available machine. When I stepped to use it, a customer came and tried to push me away, telling me to "go back to my machine", which they still havent fixed. While I tried to explain to the customer that it wasnt working and that I was here first, a Meijer employee stepped in and instead of apologizing for not fixing it or letting me use the available machine, she threatened to call the police on me. This is the last time I will ever visit this store, and Ive been shopping at Meijers for about 20 years. Rude employees.

Meijer is Meijer. Youre sure to find everything you need here. The only beef I have, is that I feel like this Meijer hasnt yet realized that Saturday and Sunday are its busiest days. Sometimes there are only 5 lanes open, meaning people are waiting in line stretched into the clothing section. Its a mess. Also, could you please educate your employees on produce? If Im asked one more time what a rutabaga is or charged for a salad cucumber when I bought a zucchini Im going to scream. Shopping during the day isnt easy either. Its like an obstacle course trying to get through aisles with employees stocking shelves. There is just never a good time to come here.

Pretty good, as far as Meijer’s go. Inventory is well stocked throughout the week, and they generally keep the aisles clean and tidy. I’m not entirely sure what’s so special about this particular location, but every other time I’ve used the self-checkout over the past few months, the machine starts pouring out all sorts of coupons. Last time this happened, I received about 10 coupons, and 3 of them were for free grocery items. Hey, free food with no obligation is always fun! It’s interesting that this specific store is so generous with the coupon dispersion though, and I suppose this could be a temporary promotional effort of some sorts.

I love Meijer, the staff is helpful but the customers are horrible. Self check out isnt the best because 80+% of the transactions are chaldeans with a Bridgecard and/or trying to haggle on an item. If you have children dont bring them here or dont enter through the east entrance, for the simple fact people have no problem running over geese (full grown and babies). EDIT: Watch out for scammers, was approached by two chaldean guys asking me to buy something and if I wanted to make money, also another time one was crying because his car broke down and needed money to fix it and went begging to different people.

The store is generally okay, but the pharmacy is awful. I have had many prescriptions go unfilled or only partially filled because they didnt have enough of the medicine on stock, and more recently, I had someone who wasnt me refill a sleep medication I had a prescription for (the pharmacist accused me of trying to purchase a prescription I had already refilled). Not only that, but the prescription was a class 4 controlled medicine which must be refilled only after 30 days from the date of the prescription, so whoever bought my sleep meds also bought them 4 days before they were legally supposed to be prescribed!

All the Meijer chains in the Midwest region of the united States is not keeping up with modern day government demand recommended by twenty first century standards all the stores in every state in the local store region of the nation needs to be all current building inception done the Right way all the way through the entire structure Inside and out of the building and if it does pass the full Inspection by the government then they get a second Chance to stay in businesses put if they never pass the inspection at all then all the Meijer chains in the region will be all shut down forever!!!!!

I like Meijer in general, but from the all the meijers in the area, I like this location by far. Items are well marked, product is organized, (for the most part, the clothing department could use some help here and there) and the associates are friendly. The only down fall is sometimes you may get the slowest cashier. After going to this location for 4 years, my husband and I have recognized faces and try to avoid those lanes if it was a major grocery shopping day for us. If you do go on a weekend, almost all lanes are open during rush times, which is great and self service is always open!
