Good drinks, good staff, great food. 84th Street Pub & Grille is a great place to watch your favorite sporting events, and is a comfortable environment for gatherings, dates, and events. Banquet room is available for large parties and events. Biggest downfall here is how this business fails to capitalize on holidays, and dates that could potentially bring them big business. Whereas many other businesses can bring in crowds and festivities on dates like St. Patricks day, and Cinco De Mayo, amongst others. 84th Street Pub & Grille offers no events and festivities on minor holidays. 84th Street Pub also lacks a means for customers to enjoy their own music. (I.E. Touchtunes, Rockbot) forcing customers to often listen to stale music. Overall, 84th Street Pub & Grille is a great place for families, sports enthusiasts, and dates. But if youre looking for a place for late night drinks, and incentives to stay and be festive, you might be better off visiting other locations in the Grand Rapids area.

This joint is pretty decent, and for where its at, it is likely the best place near the new Tanger Outlets (which is unfortunate). But overall I would recommend this place for someone who wants a basic menu with some good food. There isnt anything creative or unique on the menu but everything they make is solid. However both times I have gotten the onion rings they have not been hot which usually means they have been sitting out for a bit. The tap menu isnt spectacular but is adequate for a place like this. My relative has said that the chili dogs are great but I only found them to be slightly above average. Overall, if someone is bringing me here, I wouldnt be upset and if Im at Tanger looking for some decent food this is totally the place to go. I would just recommend that they find one dish or appetizer as their "claim to fame" as there isnt really anything that has stood out to me.

The hostess was literally asleep at her station when I arrived. I said "wake up" jokingly and smiled when she looked at me but received silence and a scowl in return, I continued on my own to the bar. Bar staff was pleasant and offered good (?) advice when I asked for gravy on my fries. I was told the kitchen staff would mess it up and it was best to order it on the side, which I did. When the food came I did get the side of gravy, unfortunately they had forgotten the fries. Bar staff took care of this promptly. Food was overpriced and the grilled chicken was obviously a frozen pre-grilled, small, thin breast. Portions were small all around. Hostess didnt bother apologizing for her earlier conduct and didnt even bother saying thank you or good night when I left. Nothing special here, drive a little farther North and look for something better. Shouldnt be hard.

I found myself out with friends and my tween/teen daughters shopping at Tanger outlets, and we wanted some place easy to get to for a bite to eat for all of us. Since 84th St Pub was basically across the street from the outlet, we decided to go there. Were really glad we did. We got right in with no waiting, and had excellent service and great food. I got the chicken buffalo ranch wrap. My daughters got a french roast, and a 4 item sampler with wings (sweet BBQ), fried pickle slices, cheese sticks, and onion rings. The pickle slices we OK, not great, just OK, but everything else was really good. The wrap was excellent, the onion rings were perfect, the wings were meaty and cooked well, the french roast was great.... pretty much the whole experience was great. The prices were pretty good too. We really enjoyed the meal and would gladly go back any time.

Staying at the hotel. Stopped in for a late night drink after a long day of driving. The remaining patrons at the bar where wearing 84th Street t-shirts which implied they were servers as they were the same as the server handling the bar. These people were loud and obnoxious drunks! There were 4 girls. The foul language was insane (were no prudes but geezuz the language was terrible). Word to management ..... If you allow your staff to drink after work at the bar .. do not allow them to wear their work shirts and certainly do not allow them behind the bar as the one girl was doing. It didnt spoil our night as it was only a couple drinks but it certainly didnt leave a great impression on us.

Really nice place. The first thing I like is the fact that it was right next to the hotel where I was staying. The beer is cold and the grilled chicken with the rice pilaf and vegetables was good, the manager himself brought it out . The service was a little slow and the waitress never checked to see if everything was ok and it took a while for me to get my bill but I take into consideration that my waitress had a full plate, that girl was running up and down the place doing everything. I will definitely stop by again when Im in town. I recommend it and I hope your experience is as good or better than mine. Yall be safe out there

Food and service were good, but beware when you pay by Amex card. I have instant notification on a charge using my Amex card and upon receiving my bill, I noticed on my phone, my Amex card was suspiciously charged 20% extra before the tip. I notified the waitress and the manager and they just blamed Amex and said that company just charges them extra. I have been to hundreds of restaurants and have never had this happen to me before. Of course, because I made such a big deal out of this at the time, everything was taken care of, but not so sure something fishy was going on . People save your receipts and check your statements.

Boyfriends company uses this location for the xmas parties. The food we got from their catered list was barely edible in my opinion. I couldnt eat it. so going for a catered event twice, and not being happy, a friend said they go often so we decided to give the regular menu a whirl. We went for a Saturday at lunch during Byron Days and we both stated it was comparable to an Applebees. a 2 star for catering and a 4 star for regular menu to average a 3 star

If you are not a suburban middle class white man, you will feel very unwelcome. I received less quality service than the aforementioned type. Patrons to my left and right were serviced several more times than I, and the only reason that would seem logical would be my appearance. Food and beer was the only redeeming factor... Not recommended for ethnic groups

Came here for taco Tuesday, there was literally no meat on the tacos. I tasted more shell then anything. Id rather drive out to Wayland for taco Tuesday then ever come here again. Waste on money. We had gotten the hard shell tacos and the meat didnt even go all the way across the tacos let alone barely covered the bottom part of the shell.

Onion rings are really good. Im having the portebela, onion and pepper ravioli. It is obviosly from the freezer and the meet sauce is very acidic. My wife is having the burger, it to is obviosly from the freezer, but not bad. They do give you top shelf vodka when you ask for it. Onion rings and vodka are the highlights.
