Talluah is now under new ownership and management. They now are featuring a new, young and very talented executive chef all the way from Las Vegas, Nicholas Geftos. Everything I have tried in the restrung has looked beautiful and tasted impeccable. The wait staff is very friendly and very prompt. The wait staff is always aware of making sure you are taken care of such as when you get up from the table they re fold your napkin and they include new clean silver wear with every corse. I cant not wait to go back!!! Its my favorite place. One more thing.. I went to the New Years Eve dinner last year it was a 5 corse meal with wine pairing and live entertainment. It was absolutely fabulous and I cant wait to go this year! If you have nothing going on call for seating.

Granted, my friends and I arrived to Tallulah on a Thursday evening without a reservation. The host said the wait was 45 minutes long. So we hung out in the restaurants store for wine tasting while we waited for a seat. After 45 minutes, the host said it would be another 20 minute wait. We reluctantly decided to wait again for fear that wed have to wait longer at another restaurant. To our dismay, the ignorant host then said he had to seat a reserved party, and said it would be another hour. Oh...my...goodness. By now, my friends and I were so disgusted that we left. I am extremely disappointed in Tallulahs service, and I promise Tallulah...I wont be back. Get a new host (referring to the white guy with blond hair.)

This 3-star rating is meant to convey that the experience at Tallulah did not live up to expectations. The waitstaff was very nice and professional, and the overall ambience was reminiscent of an upscale urban bistro, quite nice as well. So why the three-star review? The food. My wife and I both ordered the rack of lamb well-done, one of them was well-done and the other was nearly rare, and the meat was extremely tough. Given we were tight on time it wasnt worth complaining. Also, the entree was just the lamb with a small garnish and some sauces, no sides, not even a small potato. Overall, this was a mediocre dining experience definitely not worth the $33/plate we paid.

The service, ambiance, and (most importantly) the FOOD are among the best in Birmingham. Ive been here a few times now and each meal has been better than the one before. I only wish chef would bring back the Teriyaki Venison Jerky from last winters menu! Most recently I had a perfectly seasoned, perfectly seared, perfectly medium rare filet. A couple of friends ordered the 40oz Tomahawk and I was lucky enough to try that as well. Delicious. Both dishes paired nicely with Glenmorangie Scotch and Terazzas Malbec.

I got food poisoning from a NY angus steak few weeks ago at this restaurant and I had the worst night ever in years. I have never gotten such a bad food poising that led to vomiting all night long. As a physician I was very upset at the way they prepped the food. Their sister restaurant Bella Piatti also cause a family member to get food poisoning few weeks prior. Avoid this restaurant.

This is by far the best food Ive EVER had in Birmingham. Im new to the area and have been to a ton of restaurants in Birmingham and this food is INCREDIBLE. I had the chicken and it was perfect and my mom had the prime rib and paté! So amazing. Great service and dessert was to die for. The atmosphere was also a huge plus!

Cozy, yet casually elegant restaurant. Wine selections are wonderful. Menu is seasonal, creative, and artfully executed. I have been here many times, and it never disappoints. French influence with often middle eastern spices. Staff is beyond friendly, never study, always helpful.

Our favorite spot in town. A great place to go for consistently excellent meals; and they always have seasonal specials. Also, check out their Wine Meal nights; amazing value considering the top quality food and wine pairings and so entertaining.

Sat at our table with empty wine glasses without any notice from our server. Chicken was supper salty. Seems like there has been a lot of staff turnover. Menu has not changed in forever.

Since Mario has taken over it is our favorite spot in Birmingham. The food is always great, drinks are well crafted. Wine list is well thought out and the staff is very friendly.

Delicious healthy food. Relatively small dining area, can get noisy. Street side parking closest to restaurant. Parking structures a short walk.

Its expensive. The food is phenominal but the service is okay. The service could use a revamp its on the stuffy side and I would expect more.

Good service and aimosphere, but some of their dishes are too salty. Choose fish over anything pasta.
