Talk about customer service.. This is the first time in any restaurant Ive ever visited in my life that a restaurant ask to pay for using "utensils & plate" when celebrating a friends birthday. The restaurant asked for $10 (before tax & tip) because "it cost them time" (thats what one of the restaurant guy told me) and its the restaurant policy. I was startled to hear that, I was just speechless and honestly "wowed"!! Just to be clear, we spend approximately $30/person to celebrate our friends birthday and they are still charging us this "service fee". Regardless of the quality of the food, I think this is too much and unacceptable. I mean, come on!? How much money are you making from our food and you charge us "service fee" for using 7-8 small plates + fork to celebrate birthday? Are you kidding me Tomukun??

Delicious meal, we came in at 11.20am (10 minutes before opening time). It was like they didnt notice us, but with two kids trying to run around it would have been nice to be sat down especially if they are allowing people to come in and wait. At around 11.35 they acknowledged our presence and seated us. Once we were seating the experience was great. Our waiter was very friendly and was always available to answer any questions. We got the BBQ combo for 2-3 people and it was very filling, and the waiter came by many times to check on the meat and make sure we had a good meal. It does take a while to cook the meat so plan 1.5 to 2 hours for the meal. Wonderful place and would definitely go regularly if I lived in Ann Arbor.

One of my favorite KBBQ places in the Ann Arbor Area. The brisket and the spicy pork are so tasty. Ive always enjoyed the banchan offerings as well. Their flavored soju is so delicious its borderline dangerous! The only downside is their hours. KBBQ can be a long process especially if you have a larger group and this place closes pretty early and can be pretty busy in the evenings. There have been times weve come out around 8pm and been told we might not get seated. Being in a college town they could definitely be open and busy till 12 or 1 easy on the weekends.

Not bad for being Ann Arbor, definitely not at the level I was used at in San Francisco and more generally in California where Korean food is plentiful and generally good. One star for the unreasonable wait time and the waiter making multiple trips every time we ordered a glass of water or something like that instead of taking the full order. But food was pretty good so we were happy in the end. Their portions are DEFINITELY on the small side, where it says "feeds 3-5" it should really be "2-3". Order accordingly.

Get the flavored soju. Havent met anyone that doesnt love it. All of the flavors Ive had are really great. The do-it-yourself bbq experience is a lot of fun too! Very high quality meats, unlimited vegetables, and interesting complimentary sides. I recommend the pork dumplings which come with an amazing sauce which i actually like dipping the bbq meats in more so than any of the sauces that are actually meant for the meat.

Delicious! If youre craving Korean BBQ, this is the place to satisfy that craving. Not a huge selection of meats/sea food, but what they offer is well marinated and fresh. I took of a star because Im use to having a greater array of bonchon selections, too. Our waiter was very polite and attentive. Oh, and the alcoholic beverages are well made. They definitely dont skimp on the alcohol! Id definitely come back again.

Korean BBQ is a very different restaurant experience. Kind of like fondue, your table is in charge of choosing and cooking food at a gas BBQ on the table. The garnishes and side dishes are typical of Korean food, where many side dishes are traditionally served. The service is casual and friendly, happy to give assistance to any parties who care for more guidance.

Tomukun Korean BBQ is awesome! I work just a few blocks down and frequently go for one of their $8 lunch specials. The soups are all quite tasty and authentic (from what I know). I recently discovered mul naengmyeon and theirs is especially tasty! The BBQ is great as well, though I wish I could visit in a large group to try more of their selections.

Meat was pretty good but the service was horrible. Service is a huge part of the experience for me, and I was very disappointed. I was getting annoyed, one word answers when asking for explanations of menu items. Not sure if our waitress was having a bad day or she usually treats customers that way, but I wont be going back here again.

My wife and I came here for a special date night after the Antiquarian Book Fair. We got the Joomookun (Boneless Ribs), and it was phenomenal. You get the traditional sides (e.g. Spicy cabbage, egg, potato, broccoli, salad, etc.), and wayyy too much food for two people. So good though! Incredible experience!

Fantastic Korean BBQ! Add a twist to your standard night out and come here to cook your food at your table. The fast and easy BBQ will taste great and give you something fun to do throughout your meal. Not to mention, all of the food is amazing. Do yourself a favor and try this place out.

This place is a great place for BBQ. I would highly recommend going as a group as the portions are quite large. If you enjoy BBQ this place is a must try. Dont expect your usual BBQ experience, this place makes it fun while being able to eat good food. Dont forget to order some soju!

The food is tasty. I had a few things that are flavorful and the service is pretty good, but they always seem to be light on the protein. I tried the Dolsot Bibimbop and in addition to being light on meat, the rice wasnt crisp on the bottom. Arirang is better for this dish.

I think Ive been here four times now. The experience is equally fun with a group or one other person. Show up hungry! Warning: be prepared to talk yourself into paying for the full table option with multiple meats and sides. Worth every penny but its quite a few pennies.

Sat outside since inside was kinda smelling gas grill. If you are sensitive to such odor they have a nice patio with some shades. Bibimbop was nice as well as black bean noodles. Meat in bibimbop had too much fat though. Still it was a nice Korean experience

Great food, but I have to say the service is really bad. I once waited for forty minutes for a carry-out that was right on the bar table twenty minutes ago: the waitresses just were not capable of keeping an eye on the carry-outs....

If you love Asian food you absolutely MUST go here. The salad and kimchi options are so good! The meat is outstanding and its an overall fantastic experience. Havent tried noodle bar next door yet, but the Korean BBQ is SO GOOD!

Went with a large group. Service was outstanding, and the meats were delicious! I think we had Meat Special #2? Kalbi, spicy pork, marinated chicken, thick bacon, and super thinly sliced beef with dipping sauces. Yum!!!

The waiters were super friendly and did their job perfectly. We got seated within seconds of arriving even though it was already packed. Food came out in a normal amount of time considering all the people.
