So for this region, its pretty good bbq. The sauces were decent, they had a nice variety, a vinegar base, a mustard base, a more traditional sauce, and a cranberry habanero sauce (and I think maybe one other one..I forget). So I tried the double and added beef ribs. I got brisket, sausage and of course the beef ribs. For sides I did potato salad and I THINK cowboy beans (or chili, I forget, pretty sure it was just beans). So the brisket was not well cooked, it was closer to shaved steak than fall apart brisket. It tasted fine, particularly with their sauces, but it was definitely not what you think of as brisket. I tried some without sauce (always love a good bark, so I usually sample without sauce initially), and it was pretty terrible, there was no good bark/spice rub to it, and minimal smoke. Honestly though I didnt hate it, it was good in its own way, just not really what you think of as brisket. The sausage was somewhat disappointing, tasted more along the lines of a typical italian sausage as opposed to something unique. It was good, just not unique. The beef ribs, now they were cooked nearly perfectly. The meat just fell off the bone, which is no small feat for beef ribs. They only complaints I had with them was the lack of bark/spice rub (there are some spices rubbed on it, it just isnt very flavorful), and the fact the beef ribs were weirdly fatty. Normally there is fat around them to some extent, these just had the fat distributed more and so it was harder to pick thru for the meat vs fat, so there ended up being a lot of bites that were a little too fatty (fat is delicious, just not a huge amount of it...) But since they clearly bbqd the ribs to the point of melting all the usually tough connective tissue, the ribs were still pretty darn amazing. Ill definitely be back just for the ribs. The beans were pretty flavorless, so I wont do them again. The cornbread was nothing special. The potato salad is fantastic, and they put cracklins on top that makes it even better. They only have cans of soda and all the seating is outside, but neither of those are too big of a deal. I give this place 4 stars based on the beef ribs, sauces, and potato salad. Definitely worth a stop at least once.

Those giving this place more than a single star have got to be friends of the owner or simply dont know decent BBQ. By far the worst BBQ Ive ever had, in fact you would probably get better BBQ ribs from a McRib sandwich at McDonalds! I have given them 3 tries over this year and have tried a few different options between myself and family members, each time it has been utter disappointment. The ribs were overcooked and dried out. The Cowboy Beans are mostly chopped and stewed tomatoes with a few beans thrown in. They are very watery and nothing like a BBQ joint, more like a weird bean and tomato soup. The brisket has been tough and chewy all three visits. They just dont cook it long enough to render the fat properly or just dont care to take the time it requires to cook the brisket properly. The brisket is flavorless, as if no rub or spices are added before smoking the meat. The sandwiches, especially the burrito, have almost no meat in them and are mostly filling; coleslaw, rice and beans. This is too bad and the place has a great location. The owner really needs to think if he/she is truly committed to learning and serving good BBQ or just looking for a paycheck from this place. A little rework and heart put into the food could change this place very easily. The truth can hurt, but the owner needs to hear this and hopefully takes a close look at the quality being served.

Im giving this place a 3 star only because their beef ribs were good, and Ive seldom had good beef ribs. The service was awful, the manbun guy taking our order looked as if hed constantly smelled something foul and he kind of came across as a grumpy caveman. I saw no smoke coming from the smokehouse which isnt abnormal for a presmoke but we did see a tray of already cooked and shredded pulled pork being placed into it; theres something off with that. The chicken had *no* pink smoke ring, not even a hint, so thats a pretty decent indication that theres something wrong. The pork ribs were dry and bland, the chicken wings .... had good dry rub. Kind of. The brisket was like roast beef with some liquid smoke. The black beans and rice were a homerun, but all of the other sides were lackluster. While I understand this is Massachussetts and the standards arent very high, this place puts more effort into fooling the consumer than perfecting the food. Synopsis: beef ribs and black beans and rice - excellent; everything else was middle-of-the-road at best, and the service was no good.

I wish i could rate the service as a 0 at best. I placed a take out order a few days back and waited at one of the tables near the pickup window. In the 10 mins or so it took to make my order I overheard a staff member argue with 3 different customers - all of who had orders that were incorrect. Rather than make them right and provide the 2 missing sides or the sandwich the boy instead argued saying the items werent ordered - even to customers who had their receipts proving that they had in fact ordered such. Even worse, when I picked up my order, i mentioned to the boy that this was my first visit and that I would not be returning because of how HE treated the other customers. He laughed at me and agreed as though he thought he was some kind of tough guy. Ill never be returning to this excuse of a BBQ restaurant ever again. Oh and as for the food... The fried pickles were fried so long they tasted like cardboard, the french fries were near raw and my sandwich was a lackluster excuse for pulled chicken. Overall this place is pathetic. F- at best.

Barbeque Bliss! What it comes down to is the product provided. Amazing. Period. We had them cater our party for 60 plus people and all were extremely satisfied. Prompt service and delivery (It was fresh and hot). Spare Ribs (It took 20 min to destroy the order out of the pans and there was a lot). Pulled pork great on rolls (I liked it with coleslaw on top). Barbequed Chicken, fall off the bone and full of flavor. Baked Beans were like supreme beans. They had everything you could need in them. Coleslaw had great taste, very fresh (I personally like them a little soggy but that was fixed the next day with awesome leftovers). We had visited the drive in before and had none of the problems listed elsewhere besides being busy. Calling in and pick up is better for the cold days. I’ve lived in the south, Kentucky/Georgia and this little shop has got it down pat with it’s own twist. Happy belly, happy customer here!

Saw this place on the highway "food this exit" sign and had no idea what to expect. Found a converted vintage gas station that smelled of tasty food. I ordered the ribs with no sauce so I could try a couple of their sauces. Despite the sauces being good, I ended up eating most of the ribs bare as the sauces couldnt compete with the flavor of perfectly cooked pork. My partner had a pulled pork sandwich, and the bite of it I had was great as well. This place is a bit of a drive for us, but now that we know how good it is, well definitely be making that drive again.
