In my experience, Li Lai Wok consistently executes a basic, yet classic "Szechuan, Hunan and Polynesian" style menu (some dishes also echo the standard dishes of American Chinese cuisine, a style which was actually mostly pioneered by 20th century Japanese American immigrants to the US). Geared mainly towards takeout, this place has little atmosphere to speak of, but in my opinion their food speaks for itself and places it high in status among similar local Chinese takeout spots. Count me a fan of their char siu (roast pork), wonton soup, and crab rangoon for example. General Tsos chicken and beef teriyaki are also very popular items in the genre, if you are unfamiliar. Warning: be sure to get your estimated pickup time for takeout, as they can and will get extremely busy on "Pawtucket holidays" (for example, weekends and nights the Patriots or Bruins are playing)

Li Lai Wok is not only consistent time and time again, but it is one of the best Chinese take-out restaurants in Rhode Island. Originally we tried a few other Chinese places around Pawtucket before trying Li Lai Wok, and were disgusted with the quality/presentation of the food. Li Lai Wok provides your food in a washable black container, and packs your food within as tight as possible; I cannot stress enough, the portion they fit in your take-out container is absolutely jaw-dropping, and will leave you left overs for tomorrows work day.

I ordered the shrimp egg foo young. The shrimp was hard ( overcooked ) in all the omelettes. Plus, the portions in the omelletes were skimpy. Ive been having an issue with consistency here whenever Ive come. I really have become hesitant as to what would be good to order. Though no one was in the place but myself, this is how my food was given me Being a single man, Im constantly eating out. Especially since my kitchen is currently gutted so its not usable. Wasnt a pleasant experience.

My opinion is that this place has the best Chinese Food in Rhode Island. When ever I travel to Boston or New York I stop by for the famous General Tsos or Orange Chicken. Add a couple Crab Rangoos and your all set. Sometimes the Chicken Wings are a good change. They did move one block to 655 Central Ave. Pawtucket RI. 02861. Very nice place and they take Visa and MasterCard. See you soon Li Lai Wok...

Been getting take-out from here since someone turned me onto them in 95. They are still hands down the best Chinese take-out in the Pawtucket area. Just want to add that the place IS clean, and their food is not greasy or overly salty, including the soy sauce packets. You cant go wrong at Li Lai Wok.

I have been eating food at this restaurant for over 15yrs. I have had General Tso Chicken all OVER the world and NOBODY makes it like Li Lai. Gosh I love this place. only bad thing is that they dont deliver, but this could be a good thing. lol

Some of the best take out Cantonese and Chinese cuisine in the area. Been eating there since 92, even after they moved down the street. I cant give enough praise to this place!
