The worst restaurant experience. The food was O.K. Although I didnt get to enjoy my own; the "O.K." comes from tasting friends. Although their chapati was heated pita bread. FAUX. No one came to our table until I went to ask for someone. We sat down, chatted, decided what to order; it was a good ten minutes. There was only one other table besides us and they had already paid; it was 3 p.m. I got up and asked for service. I said: "No one has come to the table yet!" I supposed my reaction upset them too. I ordered curry beef extra spicy. I have never ever been challenged by any type of spicy food; Im famous for it among friends. But that day I couldnt even feel my tongue; it was on fire! At the end, our bill was $120 (include 18% tip). We ordered four dishes ranged from $16-$18, which does not worth it. No way could it have been that expensive! It was not until later that day had it dawned on me that both the excruciating spicy food and the overcharge were probably their revenge of my reaction to their poor service skill. There are so many restaurants on the square; please dont waste your money there!

It was the more horrible dining experience one can ever expect. The food was so spicy that my tongue feels burnt right now. We were served the wrong entrée for, which the waiter didnt even care to replace or apologize. "Our kitchen is closed," thats all he said. Despite asking for mildly spicy food, the food was served horridly spicy. We had ordered a "meal for two," which comes with tea and dessert. Now since the kitchen was closed, we were served desert "in place of tea." We ordered mango sundae, which was a scoop of vanilla ice-cream topped with mango purée, and kulfi, which tasted like cheap Mexican candy. Tasted horrible. When we complained about it, the waiter began arguing. We asked to speak to the manager, but we were simply refused. We returned back home with empty stomachs and burnt tongues. I am never going to Diva again.

Quality indian lunch buffet with a wide range of options. They were very accommodating of our 1 year old daughter who accompanied us (with her boxed lunch from home). Like most indian buffets, the spice level was turned way down to make sure everyone could enjoy it, but they did not dumb down the other flavors. Bringing fresh naan to the table is always a nice touch, as is having masala chai at the buffet. Dont make my mistake and wait to the last minute to grab desert, as they will start clearing the dishes as they approach the end of buffet hours.

Pretty standard indian cuisine for a reasonable (a bit towards the high-end) price, Diva really stands out in their preparation of tandoori-style dishes. Theres a big glass window into a part of the kitchen where the tandoori ovens are, and you can watch things being prepared, but this is a bit disconcerting when you have the table right in front of it - you cant watch anything else. The lights are kept pretty dim at night, so be sure to bring your glasses or have a spot-light app on your phone if you have trouble reading in the dark.

I love this place. Outstanding Malai Kofta and Chicken Tikka Masala, yummy Saag Paneer, excellent Vegetable Pakora, Love their food. Their naan has wonderful consistency and the flavor is decent though they always burn it a little which isnt my favorite (and it makes the garlic naan a little bitter). The delivery man is basically the kindest person Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting and delivery always arrives VERY quickly, and their dine-in service is very attentive and comfortable and clean with lots of ambiance.

Solid Indian food for Davis square. The food is good, flavorful and comes out pretty fast (which could be a good or bad thing) The lunch/brunch buffet has a good selection of items both vegetarian and non and on weekends they have mini dosas which is a added bonus. While the food is good, its nothing to call home about. They are typical north and some south indian dishes all of which are good. The location is great if you are taking the T and there is plenty of street parking in the surrounding area.

Placed a phone order at 6pm. At 7 the food arrived with the dessert and beverages missing. After repeated phone calls, requests for a refund, and promises that the missing items would be delivered within 15 minutes, it is now 830pm, and we have no resolution. The person with whom I spoke on the phone refused to issue a refund, and says a manager will not be available until sometime after 9pm. Will be calling my bank tomorrow to have all charges blocked. What a nightmare.

Absolutely horrendous service! Food was ok; desserts were from can and were sever ice cold. Secuce was sub-par at the best. Server demanded full gratuity on a buffet where all he did was to bring few baskets of Naans. He also asked not to come back if we cannot drop gratuity to his satisfaction. There are multiple Indian restaurants in one mile radius and you can spend your time and money better at other places which understands customer service and repeat business.

I ordered from Diva through GrubHub, and the meal was terrible. The mild saag paneer I ordered for my kids arrived eye-wateringly spicy, while the spicy vindaloo I ordered was mild and insipid. If the samosas had ever been crispy, they certainly werent when they arrived. The naan was bland and rubbery. And to top it off, my partner went to bed with a very upset stomach. Punjabi Grill is just up the street, and much better.

Tasty food, but terrible service. We ordered in twice. On the first occasion, the delivery person blamed us for living FAR away. (We live within 3 miles of the restaurant, a 15-20 min drive). On the second occasion, he called 30 minute after we ordered to let us know it would take him at least 2 hours to get to our place. They will not be getting any business from us in the future.

We went to Divas on a summer evening, with the large doors open to the street, which made for a great atmosphere. The service was very good, the server was very attentive, and the food came out very quickly. The food was very flavorful, spiced well, and good-sized portions. Overall, I enjoyed the total experience of eating there, and would definitely come back.

The food was typical of Indian restaurants youll find in the United States. However, the service is pretty bad. There was no naan ready when we ordered, and rather than tell us so we could order something else, or give us the option to have it removed from our bill, they gave us the naan wrapped to go as we were finishing up. Well go somewhere else next time.

Was very disappointed in the food. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the garlic naan was quite yummy even though quite burnt on the back. The goat curry I had was very dry. The grilled chicken lacked the right spicing and was also dry. The sage paneer was spiced terribly wrong as well. I know food! Go to Kabob Factory in stead. Amazing buffet!

The food is good BUT: Diva has been the object of worker protests for at least the past six months (I write in Feb. 13). The owners are charged with exploitng their lowest-paid, Latino immigrant staff and, specifically, with failing to pay back wages due. I have stopped patronizing Diva.
