Definitely an extremely small place with two or three small tables. You might be occupying more space than available if you have over 7 people. Food is very oily and I would caution eating here everyday if you have cholesterol or heart problems. Overall the menu items or food is nothing new and very common as found in other restaurants. The taste is different for different food items. I ordered kadhai paneer (hot) which had two large fried red chili peppers, tomato sauce, some spices, green peppers and cheese(paneer) and ample amount of oil to burn four logs of wood camp-fire. Folks serving were friendly and this appears to be a family run place so Bengali folks will enjoy socializing. Its definitely a place to try at least once.

One of the very few places in Boston where one can find authentic Bengali cuisine served true to its taste(for most of the dishes). I thought the kosha mangsho, shorshe iilish, chingri malaicurry and luchi are worth trying again. The spices are well balanced, and the fish tasted fresh. The mochar ghonto was bit soggy, but the Biriani(thinking it would make me remind at least the roadside stalls in Kolkata, but it was a big miss) which was actually a polau was a big disappointment. The place is a humble one with very few people to accommodate, but never the less, its worth a visit again.

Pathetic experience. We ordered our food and after 15 minutes another person comes and asks us for our order. No communication. They served us small portions of everything safe to say kids portion and that too for expensive dishes. The curry was very oily and we had to scavenge through for meat pieces. Served stale rice which was hard to chew. The roti/ naan were ,I dont know what. It was falling apart if you picked it up. Felt gross after eating here. Definitely not the best Indian food. Wont recommend eating here if want your moneys worth.

1. Authentic and traditional Bengali Cuisine . Has other North Indian dishes as well . 2. Probably the only Indian Restaurant in East coast serving Bengali cuisine .(Bangladeshi cuisine is a different from Bengali) . 3. Food tastes really good and portions are plentiful . 4. Owners are nice , friendly and welcoming . 6. The place is small , but well maintained and clean . 5. Highly Recommend Kosha Mangsho , any form of fish curry , Mishti Doi ( Sweet yogurt) , Mocha Ghonta. Would love to comeback .

This is probably the only place in East coast .. after "A Calcutta Affair" was closed in NJ.. were you can get authentic Bengali food. Bengali food is vastly different from Bangladeshi food. The food was super yummy .. I would whole heaetedly recommend 1. Kosha mangsho 2. Any kind of fish curry 3. Alu bhaja or jhuri bhaja 4. MISTI Doi. Also you need to have Bengali taste buds to appreciate this place. Its to far from where I stay else it would have been my weekend affair.

This is the only place in Greater Boston where you can have authentic bengali cuisine. Typically bengali cuisine is different from rest of the India. They have wide variation of fish dishes, the spices used are different than north Indian and south Indian cuisine. If you love Indian cuisine, this is must try. Ask for potatoes with poppy seed, hilsha fish with mustard sauce, shrimp malai curry (cooked in a gravy of curd) and kosha mangso (spicy goat meat).

My coworker and I ordered take out for lunch one day. Called 40 minutes after the order was placed only to learn our order was being held back until others were ready for delivery and that we had to wait another 10 minutes... It took an HOUR AND HALF to receive food that was ice cold. Their take out service is TERRIBLE!

A gem of a spot. The food was delicious and the staff wonderfully real. Its certainly got that hole-in-the-wall vibe, but the taste is worth it. They were even able to accommodate for our gluten-free needs, considering my wife has celiac. Although the language barrier took us awhile to explain. Truly authentic.

We ordered take-out. My partners enthusiasm for Indian food rarely matches mine but we were both very pleased. For me, the Malai Kofta, something I often order other places, was outstanding: the vegetable balls were delicately flavored and more intriguing than Im used to. The accompanying sauce quite nice.

Very yummy food but they serve small portions. I ordered fish curry and it was $10+ but very small portion. The young woman Reshmi was very good waitress. Small place but good food. Sometimes parking can be challenging.

The place is decently sized, not too big but not too small either. Food was really good. If you love Indian delicacies, you should try. Good range of foods in the menu. They can improve the service a little better.

Authentic Bengali Restaurant. Food is delicious. Though they have a little space crunch, if you are planning to have food over there, still it is worth waiting and money. Overall the experience is very nice.

I have ordered biryani its very oily and not at all like indian food. The samosa tastes like weeks old. Place is congested, not enough room for a peaceful dining. Service is harsh and very unprofessional

Really spectacular Bengali food in a tiny hole in the wall with two tables. In a town with a lot of good Indian food, this one is the best.

Food was not that good. Very over priced. Woman who answered phone could not speak very good English and understanding her was difficult.

Small place, not enough space for large groups. The mutton and fish are excellent. They serve really nice Gulab Jamun as well.
