We visited this place for the first time on March 25 2016, we ordered the chicken chapli kabab and the bihari chicken, the chicken chapli had a long piece of hair in it which was disgusting as you can see in the attached picture, the bihari chicken was undercooked and my wife couldnt eat it as it was chewy, we asked the waitress to speak to the manager, the manager was sitting in a table infront of us and was eating, the waitress went and took the plate with the hair in it and showed it to him, he ignored our request to come talk to us and continued eating his meal. The waitress nor the unprofessional manager had the decency to appologize to us for what happened. We told the waitress we dont want the chapli dish anymore and we want it out of the bill and asked her to have the bihari cooked more as it was not fully cooked. If this happened in a professionally lead restaurant they would have at least made the bill on the house and apologized for the incident. This so called "manager" had his pictures taken with celebraties and hanging all over the walls of the restaurant, so he might be actually the owner of the place, yet not him nor his staff had any aspect of professionalism. On our way out I had to walk to the managers table while hes eating and complained to him, it just seemed that he really didnt care. Very dissapointing, unprofessional, and disgusting, definitely not eating there again nor would I recommend it.

Ive been to Punjabi Grill several times, and the overall experience averages around 3.5 to 4 stars. Authentic Pakistani food is hard to find, and the food here is probably the best Pakistani food available in the area. The have excellent naans that are baked in an on-site tandoor oven. The ambience is just ok, and the service has varied from acceptable to good. However, my most recent visit compelled me to write a review. Me and my family visited a few days ago, on the same day some local universities had their commencement. Its Ramadan, so we intended to break our fast at their dinner buffet. When we arrived as usual without reservations, we were surprised to see the place jam packed, with makeshift tables being set up to accommodate. We thought wed be turned away, with only minutes left till the time to break the fast. The restaurant was clearly at capacity, with only two servers, but one of them, a young woman, hurriedly cleared out a place for our party and seated us. The food at the buffet was a solid 4 stars. And our server, harried and rushing to provide multiple water refills to everyone parched from a day of fasting, was extremely efficient, pleasant, and dealt exceptionally well with the pressure. We were impressed and grateful for her service. 5 stars to her!

Most horrible place, very rude staff, disorganized place , total chaos, also with bill each time they try to cheat you with extra money so e careful.much better other halal options around. Most recently we had a booking for 11 people we confirmed our reservation again. When we arrived we were told there is no place for your group, Mr Azhars brother told us to sit on booths instead of a big table , we sat there as there was no option, two girls came and were extremely rude and asked us to leave , I told them we already had a reservation they had given our table to another group , they decided to call police , policeman told us that these people have frequent complaints and I should be better off finding another restaurant. Police didnt ask us to leave or anything we finished our meal, at the end the girl brought the bill and tried to over charge me 100$ when I questioned her she said oh I charged you service charges anyways I was able to get the bill corrected. The owner Azhar seems helpless in front of his rude staff. Avoid this place

Worst place ever. Do not waste your money here. It is set up beautifully. However, that is where the good things end. We ordered grill mix, goat biryani, naan, roti, and half a chicken tandoori. The total cost was over 60$ which seems like it is not a lot for so much food. HOWEVER, the grill mix had 1 kebab 2 tiny botis and 2 tiny boti kebab for 17$. Then the biryani was in a tiny cereal bowl for 17$. On top of it the biryani was just curry on top of white rice. An insult to actual biryani. When I mentioned the small portions all the server said was "OK" and walked away. The roti was 3$ each as was the naan. Definitely not worth the money spent there.

This is probably one of the shabbiest restaurants we have ever dined in. Food is awful and served luke warm. The service was slow (one waiter who was also cooking food in the kitchen) and the restaurant was pretty dirty. Punjabi Grill is pricey for its poor service and environment. This place pretty much depends on college students and the floating population and very few repeat customers. Avoid if you can by all means. There are better choices in Boston/Cambridge area that serve excellent Indian food in a good environment.

My favorite Pakistani restaurant. It has very authentic Punjabi food. My favorites are Karahi Chicken, Lamb with Spinach and their Naans. Although the food is awesome there are never very many people there. That likely has to do with the fact that they do not serve alcohol. They do a large catering business as well. Parking in Davis Square is sometimes tricky. There are pictures of Pakistani dignitaries with the owner on the walls.

They need to know how to behave with customers. I am a regular customer and they know that. We make an order with 2 naan bread; so instead of making a new naan they just bring an old 2 naan from the buffee. They admit that, and dont even apologize, and said they going to charge me too. Very poor customer care, Not even for regular customers. By the way, they said dont need tips, bcz the owner take the tip for himself.

Really good! Authentic and fresh ingredients. It is a simple enough place, but friendly and comfortable, and not very expensive. We have tried a half dozen south asian restaurants around boston, some fancy, but this one is the best so far. At lunch they have a nice buffet they keep fresh

We went for lunch buffet on Wednesday afternoon.. I think we are the only 4 people in the whole restaurant.. Limited items and stale items.. Ambience was not great.. Food was bad I assume its because of the time we went there.. Next time when I try on weekend.. Then ill updatemy review..

Some of the better Indian/Pakistani cuisine Ive had in the Boston metro area. There is a very relaxed atmosphere. This sometimes leads to slow service, but the staff is responsive if you ask them something. Overall, great atmosphere to sit and have a conversation and great food.

This place is just amazing...food is literally always fresh, tasty and abundant. I have been in many Indian buffets before and this is for sure my favorite. This is one of those places where you can either go eat alone or with friends and have a great meal !
