The pub side has fair food and decent service. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience on the upscale side. I had my rehearsal dinner here and scheduled it about 4 months in advance. It was a very disorganized and confusing experience. They did not assign 1 specific coordinator to my event so each time we called to ask questions or meet in person, someone new was involved. For example, our appointment with 1 manager was cancelled due to snow (although we were not informed of this until we arrived and my in-laws had driven 5 hours from out of state in the snow) so another manager filled in and gave us different information – this created major issues the night of the event due to misinformation being communicated from too many different people. The food itself was mainly good however, the service was VERY slow. Our reservation was for 7pm (but we were 15 minutes late) and the salad was not served until about 8:30. The servers themselves were pleasant and fairly attentive. The most frustrating part was the next morning, (on my wedding day) I was called 2xs about an issue with the check that had been written as payment even though it was my mother-in-law who paid. They may need to revise their payment policies so this doesn’t happen to future parties. When I called to discuss the issues with the manager, he did apologize but also had many excuses and tried to blame me and my mother-in-law for “misunderstanding” the managers. He did offer to have us come back for a better experience but I declined. The setting is very nice and food is decent but if you are planning an event for a large party I would request 1 specific person and get the details in writing.

Fantastic! This was our first time there. We will definitely be going back. The food was amazing. The service was exceptional. We were a party of two adults, an 8 year old and a 7 year old. The kids had pasta. One with alfredo and the other with butter. They both enjoyed it. For an appetizer they had the fried mozzarella. So delicious. The marinara sauce tasted very homemade. I had the surf and turf. 5 oz. filet with 2 stuffed shrimp. Cooked perfectly and lots of flavor. My husband had the jambalaya. It was delicious as well. For our appetizer we had the tuscan wings. They were very flavorful and juicy. Honestly cant say enough good things about it. Our server, Amanda, was very friendly and attentive. Our food was never delayed. I would highly recommend it. There is a bar side and a restaurant side. We were on the bar side as the restaurant wasnt open yet but the hostess told us it would be good to make a reservation for the restaurant side. They do have a beautiful area set up for outdoor seating when it gets warmer. Look forward to that.

Let me start by saying that we eat in a lot of wonderful restaurants, and I *never* turn down the opportunity to order lobster when its on the menu. Went there with the wife for a fancy dinner. This was the worst part of our experience: They served me a spoiled lobster tail. How do I know it was spoiled? It tasted and smelled like ammonia. The waitress offered me another meal, so I accepted. Its very ironic the the manager did not come to speak with us about the incident. I was also surprised no one offered us a comp dinner. This restaurant was supposed to be Fine Dinning. We ordered two surf and turf dinners, one with lobster and the other with shrimp, one appetizer, two drinks $100.

I have been visiting Stoneforge for years for all types of events. I have attended company functions upstairs, fine dining on New Year’s Eve in the public house, and dinners in the tavern. Tonight will be the last visit. I have visited the tavern for dinner on 6 occasions that I remember over the last 2 years and I can only remember 1 occasion where the combination of good service and good food graced our table at the same time. Tonight the food was overcooked, the service was lacking, and the response from the manager was leisurely to the point of being rehearsed. I can only hope that the Raynham landmark is placed under new management sooner rather than later.

I went there for Thanksgiving yesterday and I was so disappointed. The food was passable thats all. The turkey was some kind of loaf, every person got the same size and cut piece. No dark meat ,wing etc. The peas and stringbeans were cold, the stuffing was like mashed potatoes, mush. The shells were cold and tasteless. Ive seen better desert tables at PTA meetings. You had to ask for whip cream if you wanted any on your pie. There was no ham, the server said they chose roast beef instead and that they didnt want to serve three meats, so no ham, which is a Thanks giving tradition. It seemed like you were cutting every corner you could. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

The function room was very nice but just a bit overcrowded. There really was not enough crackers for the cheese and they did not refill them. The food was serve yourself up until the chicken, then you got one piece, served by a surly waitress, never smiled, never asked if you wanted the sauce to go with it. They ran out of potatoes, and then brought in something diffrent. Everything was terribly under seasoned and no salt and pepper on the tables. The cheesecake for dessert was still frozen in the middle I have had better meals.

Food is hit or miss. My last visit the waitress jumped ship after our first course. Salads took over 20 minutes to be served. It took about 40 minutes for our main course. In their defence service is usually faster. I am sure most of the blame lies on the waitress who left. However once the food got to us it was cold. We have ordered the Bello Chicken before. It was pretty good, though cold. The yellowtail tuna (the chefs special with wasabi mayo) was bland. The reuben was decent, although it was also cold.

I expected better from the Publick House (the more upscale eating option of the two), given the reviews and recommendations Ive received. The service was good and the atmosphere was quite nice. The quality of the food, however, was mediocre at best given the prices. My girlfriend and I each got a steak from their 3-course menu, and we were not particularly impressed with either. Not bad food by any stretch of the imagination, but you can definitely find better steaks and appetizers for the same price or less.

I was impressed with the operation at Stoneforge Tavern. The architect did a nice job trying to replicate a sense of old New England charm. The employees, including our server, were very nice. We each had the tacos on Taco Tuesday and they ware okay but I would imagine that we went to the wrong place for tacos. There seems to be some live music out in the courtyard every night of the week, weather permitting, during the summer. I would definitely recommend Stoneforge Tavern.

Stoneforge publick house is a delicious pub style restaurant that has just about every type of food you can imagine on the menu and I havent had a bad meal since. Buffalo chicken dip is a must. It also has the fancier Stoneforge side which you can use for more formal occasions. Tremendous beer and wine list with delicious house specials as well. A must try in Raynham. Have been quite a few times for showers parties or just dinner.
