First things first. The food. Freaking awesome. Some of the best in Braintree. They have four or five vegetarian dishes too, which makes my wife happy (yet makes me so sad). Beer and food selection is good. Staff is friendly. Service is quick. Lots of TVs on various channels but usually no (or very low) sound. When its nice out, they open the front windows (they only open on the bar side, but theres still table service over there...) One thing to note. Late nights get suuuuper clubby. Thats not meant as criticism; some people obviously like that - but if youre looking for a quiet-ish dinner where you can talk comfortably despite background noise, Id avoid this place after about 8pm. The dance music starts pumping and its way too loud to talk. Like I said - if thats what you want, great - but if not, be aware of it. Overall, Southside offers fantastic food and a very pleasant experience.

The Southside tavern is halfway between home and work and my boyfriend and I have been here for dinner twice and have loved it. The menu is different and everything we have tried has been delicious. It is never too packed and the prices are reasonable. The servers are all really nice and understanding if we talk too much and take some time to order. The first time I order the salmon and my boyfriend had the pulled pork pouting. Both were excellent! The second time we had buffalo potato skins (yum) and he got a pulled pork panini. We will definitely be back, this place was a great find...the food,prices, and atmosphere definitely beat more restaurants around the mall!

I ordered chicken scampi and some of the chicken was so gummy I had to send it back and they had a new plate out within 10 minutes it was very tasty. We were happy with the service and our waitress was awesome. Really noisy could not even have a conversation while having dinner. Young crowd in there all standing around the bar you couldnt even see the bar. If it wasnt for these negative points I would have given them a 5 star.

Top notch food, ambiance, and staff. Had an unexpectedly high quality meal for a lunch time - Cajun swordfish on Caesar salad. The swordfish was very fresh, flavorful, and moist, even though it was in the blackened style. The salad was fresh, crispy, had high quality cheese applied, and I ate the whole thing. Even the menus are clean and professionally done. Will be making many return trips.

Had the Brunch. Nothing special. Sat for an hour and only saw one half pan of potatoes traded. Food sits until gone. And then replaced. Never stirred. Pancakes were hard and crusty on the bottom. The pasta was " American chop suey" With all the wonderful pasta options out there, they serve something from a grade school menu.

We had brunch this morning, and I must say it was a great experience. We were sat promptly, and our waitress was efficient, friendly, and adorable. The food was great, especially the homemade corned beef hash, and the made to order omelette. The chef that made the omelette was extremely friendly. I can not wait to return.

Bar tender tends to focus too much on the women, not making sure the rest of the bar is set. Was given a menu and it took the bar tender 15 minutes to come back for my order. Wasnt busy. French onion soup was good though, with a great beer and drink selection.

Waitress was nice (Jen) Ceasar Salad was good not worth 10 bucks. Chicken Tenders were over cooked very bland . Thin cut onion rings were good. My husband had a grilled chicken was good. Hand cut fries were good. Not worth 46 bucks

This place is consistently good (food, drinks, etc.)...it starts with the management and trickles from them, to the servers and finally to you, the customer. Enjoy one of the better bar food joints on the South Shore.

Not a fan of this location. The Quincy location is easier and friendlier. Staff have been seen drinking while working and its overcrowded often and wait staff is slow and not very attentive

Only thing that beats how great the service is? The food. Highly recommend any of the paninis and their fish sandwich is delicious. Try the sweet potatoe waffle fries!

One of the best places to go in Braintree. Great Food and drinks. There is pub quiz and live music and you can follow all major sport events. 100% recommended
