Sept 18, 2014...this is a NO STAR review, as you must select a start to post...."New Menu" is extremely disappointing as previously when ordering "Baked Haddock" the dish was a full meaty piece of Haddock filet with fries and cole slaw. New menu offers Haddock Cassarole (rice pilaf and veggie) $10.99 and Baked Haddock (steak fries and cole slaw) $12.99. Asked for grilled asaragus to replace the french fries for addtl $2.00. Both Haddock plates ordered received a measly 1/4 piece tale end with hardly any fish meat (very thin), rice pilaf with one plate having green/yellow greenbeans and one with 4 pieces of grilled asaragus! Then the guys dishes: Fish & Chips consisted of 3 small pieces of breaded fried haddock on top of a basket of steak sytle fries and small dipping sauce style cup of cole slaw (very watery/runny). Steak Tips & Fries (ordered rare) arrived with the 3 smallest steak tips (suitable for a kids meal portion) that were cooked "well done to over done"! Needless to say that plate was rejected as this person never sends back a plate or re-orders anything different if they can not get the order correct the first time. Eventually the Manager "Mike" (started in Jan 2014) stopped by to apologize for the over cooked meal. We proceeded to explain the disappointment of all the meals as the portions were extremely small for the prices being charged. He apologized for the disappointment and offered desserts on the house. As we all just wanted to leave as our friend still had no lunch to be eaten, the manager stopped by to inform he removed an addtl $20 off the bill and hoped we would return again. When we received the bill to our dismay the Steak Tip meal had not been removed but the $20 credit was applied. We complained as all 4 of us felt we should have not been billed for a meal never eaten or accepted because it was not cooked to order and where the manager advised he removed an additional $20 for our disappointment in the other meal sizes. Manager Mike never returned to our table but only removed another $5 from the bill. Needless to say we still had to pay for a meal never eaten not to mention we were billed $12.99 per Baked Haddock plate that contained the "lesser value" price on the Haddock Cassarole dish. Sadly to state we will never step foot into this establishment again, as it has been an iconic establishment up until this time. PS: the waitress kept apologizing for our disappointment in the portion sizes yet she never apologized for approaching other table that had been seated after us...and she had yet to arrive to our table at all!

I worked at the loft and needless to say, the management there was awful, they did not complete my paperwork on time and I did not get paid for at least 3 or 4 weeks straight. They Kept forgetting to put my information through and I only got one check and a I think 3 tips from working about 5 or so weeks there. Even though I specifically said days I couldnt work they repeatedly would schedule me on those days I specifically said I couldnt work. They had my friends on training even after they had been trained numerous times therefore they didnt receive tips. Overall the management and organization of this place, I believe, was terrible and it did not satisfy me as an employee at all, especially when I did not receive payment for such an extended period of time.

My first visit to this Restaurant & Pub! Very impressed. I highly recommend the baby back ribs. Truly great. Also, the lemon cake is like nothing you have ever had. An excellent pallet pleaser! And to top everything off, they had $5 drinks that were very tasty and good. The manager Mike was generous with his time and assisted with dessert choices. He was right on with what dessert compliments what meal. Do yourself a favor and take a family or friends to a very comfy place to eat good food, enjoy drinks and have a great time.

My husband and I went to the Loft on Saturday night. The manager was beyond rude to us, border line yelled. We were waiting (unnecessarily) for 30 minutes due to the unprofessional bustboys and hosts. Then we were finally seated they were out of 2 of the meat dishes we were going to order and burnt our french onion soup! The waitress did not offer drinks basically was just there to clear the dishes. The price were outrageous for both the portion, size and location. Will never return.

I was expecting more from almost every aspect at this restaurant. Especially considering the wait but I guess that there arent many choices in the area. Some friends had been before so we went there on their recommendation. Menu was ok but not very creative. Food was mediocre. Service was the best thing about the restaurant (our waiter but not the snotty hostesses). The decor was cute. I would try it again but my first impression is not very enthusiastic.

Weve been a couple of times and the food is fantastic! Last time, I enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese which was STUFFED with lobster meat. My kids enjoy the food as well and they provide crayons and paper for the kids. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and well-maintained. Parking is a little tight. Reservations are recommended!

The wait staff were great and very attentive. Sadly, the bison burger was a let down. Not only was it over cooked, but there were also pieces of unpleasant, chewy gristle to get through. Not the best quality, it seems. But, as compensation, at least our dessert was free. Pity the management didnt come over to check in.

A friendly and laid back place to grab a bite of solid local cuisine. Not every dish is a winner but if you stick with their core menu items its hard to go wrong. Like many places in the greater Boston area they are proud of their clam chowder, as well they should be since its pretty darn good!

Me and my friend ate there last night and we both were disappointed, first the waitress was not friendly and very slow, the food was pricey and we waited 45 mins for our food and it wasnt really that good the portion was small, I doubt very much Ill be going back there.

Stopped in for lunch. Sat at the bar and had a beer. Ordered the Caesar salad, onion straws, and fish and chips. Very good food. They gave us handmade chips while waiting for the food. Prices seem a little high for this type of place. Nice atmosphere.

New menu is awful. If you get steak you have to have a baked potato ? No mashed, no rice? Only lobster mac & cheese? What happened to the favorites? Award winning clam chowder not as good as the past.. Not satisfied and will not be back

Very good as always. Wife had the Sirloin Steak and I had the You cant get therefromhere burger with mac& cheese. The burger was 1/3 lbs Angus beef with gouda and lobstah meat on it. Great chow.
