Went to dinner last night (Friday at 7pm) and both myself and my husband are up paying for it now. We should have known when we pulled up and saw only 2 cars in the lot on a Friday night. After going inside and seeing the dining room completely empty we should have high tailed it out of there. So the pluses, the rolls (packaged) and garlic oil were good, and the clam chowder was tasty. The minuses... My daughters chicken fingers were very very dry, my burbon buger was bland and there was so much juice and sauce the roll was completely soggy and stale. The fries were under cooked and soggy. The onion rings werent much better. Really greasy and soggy. My husband ordered the Portuguese marinated steak with shrimp Mozambique. The amount of garlic in the meal was absurd. He said they probably used so much garlic to cover the nasty taste. The amount of grease and oil on his plate was ridiculous. The waitress didnt really check on us and never came back on her own to fill the drinks. I paid 3 bucks for a cup full of ice and 5 sips of soda. The service we received left a lot to be desired, and we would have understood if it were busy. But she had us and one other party of two. Gratuity was also added to the bill. Required I guess? Which saved us money, because I was considering giving her more seeing as we had a Groupon. But the kicker of the whole night was the ketchup. After receiving our order and older gentleman the cook and possibly the owner, brought us ketchup. Upon opening the ketchup, after noticed the level of dust on the outside, we found gunk and mold surrounding the top of the bottle. Right then and there we should have walked out. If the ketchup was that disgusting, I dont even want to know what the kitchen was like.... Do yourself a favor and skip this place. I wish Kitchen Nightmares were still a show. Brantals seriously needs to be on that show, not that I think Gordon Ramsey could save it. It was really that bad...

We were at brantals , we attended and fundraiser event We were really glad we came since we had been planning our wedding for next year This place has the best banquet hall around the food and service was very good Has a huge bar and great selection of drinks Since we diced to have our wedding there, we came Friday to pay our deposit we ended up having dinner there The waitress recommended the Portuguese pasta it was very tasty and my girl enjoyed the baked scrod The martinis were very good too not to mention the warm rolls and dipping oil is the best

Awesome chowder and fried clams! Nice fresh rolls and oil. Great drinks! Joe the owner is super nice guy along with his friendly waitress!
