Friendly, but atrocious service and a shocking trio of brutally over-cooked meals made for a pretty rough dining experience. My parents had suggested that we eat here as a family to show-off one of the best restaurants in Marblehead (based on their first time eating here). The owner greeted us at the door and a very busy, but friendly hostess organized us and the huge family arriving for a birthday party quickly and efficiently. We were seated and then waited for almost 20 minutes - despite a few attempts to flag down a waiter, asking a busboy to send a waiter, and finally stopping a waiter between his table and the kitchen - before a waitress came by to take our order. She was very friendly and apologized for the delay - and after taking our order it seemed like things were back on track for a nice evening. The drinks arrived and then the appetizers - everything was prepared well and very tasty. Staff came by and checked on us, cleaned off plates, re-filled glasses, brought bread, etc... and then disappeared. Between the removal of our appetizers and the arrival of our meal we sat for more than 30 minutes and when our food finally arrived it was practically inedible. A large 20oz pork-chop was so tough that it even cutting it with a steak-knife was a challenge, a fillet mignon arrived looking more like a hockey-puck than food, and an overcooked sirloin rounded-out the meat orders. My girlfriends fish stew (the only thing that was hard to overcook) was prepared beautifully and tasted great. It was a disappointing meal and I dont think well be back - but Im sad to have missed the fantastic experience my parents had during their first visit.

Most restaurants have struggled in this space, but the owners of Turtle Cove have, through sheer force of will created an upscale restaurant that provides everything a big city bistro provides, but in a small town locale. Food quality here is top notch, with excellent service. Steak prepared perfectly and quality seafood. Owners are often on the scene to make sure everything is just right.

From the moment you walk in the door till you leave this restaurant is what true hospitality is all about. Friendly, funny, on top of their game and the food is amazing from the apps to to the espresso before you leave. The owner greeted us and everyone in his place and thanked us as we left. I know He will continue to succeed and I hope to return to this place again one day

Wonderful experience, owner came over and said hi, my buddy "Opie" from high school was a great server, and the food was excellent. We had a fondu-like appetizer, shared a beet salad and had several entries ranging from a small filet with sides of potatoes and vegetables, as well as mussels and lobster rangoon. Easy 5 out of 5 for my money! Especially for Marblehead lol.

Another wonderful experience at Turtle Cove last night. Stefan and his staff treat you like family on arrival and all throughout the meal. They have a terrific bar here and always great music to listen to. The Food is excellent and they always huddle with you to insure that your experience is going well. One of my two favorite places to go in MHead.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. We had an emergency and had to leave quickly. I was frantically waiting for the sever or anybody to come take our check but there was no one to be found. Long story short when I arrived home and called to explain the situation, I got yelled at by the owner. Would never give them my business again.

Veryyyyyyyy unprofessional, however they do encourage infidelity if you are into cheating on your spouse!!!! Bring your wife one night then your mistress the next! The owner condones that type of behavior along with firing employees when the wife of a customer gets upset! NO STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went for the $1 oysters and shrimp at the bar. We were welcomed immediately by all the staff especially Nicole. The food was extremely fresh and delicious. The drinks were awesome too. Try the fried calamari- its cut thicker and so fresh. Cant wait to go back.
