Went to lunch in a party of three and had a tasty meal of an enchilada, rice and beans. The server, (Adam), was prompt, English was spoken and the meal served quickly. The dining area was clean and Adam was courteous. My plate included a small ensalada although not called for on the menu. The salsa was rich, homemade and not too hot.The price of $7.17 was not out of line for the area. I was only travelling thru, but if I lived here I would return. After reading some of the bad reviews, I wonder if they were in the wrong restaurant. There is no lobby waiting area and no place settings, just a knife and fork taped in a napkin.

Awesome service the man was very nice I came in with my daughter and placed an order and me and her went to the car to wait and I was about to turn off the car to get her out again to go in to get the food and they brought it out to me that was really nice and thoughtful the only thing is that are meals are a little different now the steak fajitas was less steak than usual and it looked different and they didnt put enough tomotilla sauce on my enchiladas other than that great experience

Frankie : the best bartender in the World ! He is so personable and remembers your favorites : your drinks, favorite dishes, etc. he is a true asset to Ixtapa. He is professional and knows his mixology. Juan, Alberto and Johnny are the hardest workers ever . Have you ever seen the Flash work at a restaurant? If you come to Ixtapa... you will feel like the Flash is working here . Everything is taken care of promptly and efficiently .

Great little restaurant, good selection of dishes on the cheap side as well as the medium priced side. Our party of two got away with a bill of about 20.00. Authentic Mexican food, appears to be owned by a genuine Mexican family, waiter came around frequently to check on us. Sitting down gets you a basket of fresh corn tortilla chips and nice amount of salsa. Wish the salsa was spicier as its kind of mind.

Not sure what the other reviewers expected. I just returned from San Luis Mexico two days ago - ate at some very good restaurants while there. Then returned and ate at the Ixtapa - totally authentic Mexican food - first rate. As for the service, it was great.. the place was rocking too.. so obviously there are many who do not agree with the previous write ups. I highly recommend this place.

Horrible experience with this recently opened restaurant. I am still trying to decide what was worse, the food or the service. I was there on a Tuesday night (party of 3) where they were not overly busy hence that couldnt have been the excuse. At this rate they will not be opened for too long. It was an utmost disappointment.

disappointed. stopped in for a quick beer. bartender shorted my change. only made good after i checked the reciept . change was even dollar amount, never happens, saw me looking then made up the difference from the tip jar. a whole 50 cents. not my first time at a bar ,desperate.

The best Mexican restaurant around! And definitely the best Ixtapa. The staff is great. They get to know you and have your order memorized if youre a regular. Theyre constantly trying to improve, when theyre already excellent. Big portions and great prices. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the most bland, uninspired Mexican food in the area. Do not even know why I went a second time after the first disaster. The second time was different though - the drinks came without any alcohol in them! Id give zero stars if I could.

Sever did not say hi. The beans were super salty the chinken in the chicken fajitas was dry and the rice tasted like it was not cooked enough. I suggest going to cazzdors in tyngsboro Massachusetts or la Carrtea in Nashua New Hampshire

Your typical mexican fare, but done well. Got chips and salsa immediately on sitting down. Our food came out within minutes of ordering. I had a burrito and my husband got the fajitas. Convenient location and cozy atmosphere.

I ordered take out. The girl didnt really know about the menu or items ... but i think maybe she was new. She compensated though when she packaged my good ans was extremely polite . Ive ordered 2x and cant complain!!!

I lived in Texas and Oklahoma where Mexican food is a way of life. I visited for Christmas and this place did not disappoint. Portions were excellent, as well as the chips and salsa. Service and price were also fantastic.
