Parking: It is located right behind the restaurant. Not the easiest to find but there is plenty of space. Appearance: Cozy. Inside is cozy and quaint. There is a small patio out front where you can watch traffic or people if you would like. Inside is very clean and a small candle is placed on every table. Ceilings are high and add a unique look to the restaurant. Sound: Bustling. Noise echos which when it is packed inside makes hearing someone next to you a little difficult at times. Comfort: A tad warm. But given that we went on a warm spring day and you couldnt put another person in the room, that isnt surprising. The chairs are very comfortable and the tables were adequate size and height. Service: Friendly. Our waitress was amazing. She was kind, witty, and as prompt as possible even with all the customers she had. As I only go to each restaurant once I asked what she recommended was the best dish for me to try. She was all too happy to give your personal thoughts as well as previous customer thoughts. Service was a little slow but I think it depends on how crowded it is. Food: Delicious. Best part of the night. Each dish order was served perfectly, warm, and absolutely delicious. I recommend the crab cakes. As a native marylander, I am VERY picky when it comes to anything crab. I was not disappointed. I also had the loaded potato salad and the flavor was amazing. My mom enjoyed a crab cake and steamed vegetables. My dad enjoyed a baked potato with crab imperial and steak. No one left hungry! Price: Excellent. While it may seem on the higher end the prices were very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. Also, seafood is not cheap. Overall: I highly recommend coming to this restaurant at least once. Service is polite, food is delicious, prices are decent, and you wont leave hungry. Sometimes I am over critical of places I attend to eat. I am paying for a service and I expect to get it. But I can tell you that I definitely plan on returning to the Rocksalt Grille soon!

Went evening of June 3rd at 6:30pm with two other couples, no wait which was great. The restaurant itself is fine as well as what the menu offers but I have to say this being my 2nd visit out, the food could use some "Rock Salt"! Most of the food is just bland! Out of the 6 dishes we had consisting of rock fish bites, raw oysters (very good) crab cakes, fried oysters, tuna poke, steak & scallops the general consensus was "bland". The crabcake platter had 2 HUGE crabcakes. They could serve just one and lower the price. This is a meal for two! Theyre so big that getting the middle done is difficult too, a little watery inside. The most talked about items were green beans and potato salad...not what you want to be known for Im sure. Our bill came to approx. $200 which isnt bad but thats mainly because we hardly saw our server. Would have ordered more beverages most likely! Good but needs improving, not sure its worth the ride out. Definitely a mixed bag of reviews...I guess it depends on your expectations! If they were FANTASTIC there should have been a line out the door or at least a wait on a Friday night...

I was at the restaurant Wednesday, May 31 and our experience was not satisfactory as had been in the past. We ordered a crabcake sandwich along with some other side dishes, the The food was delivered to our table within almost 2 minutes it seem like. I asked the waitress if the crab cake was made to order and she assured me it was. However in taste in the crabcake it was not hot and it did not taste like it was made to order it seem like it was reheated . I have had many crabcakes overtime and this was not the best. Ive had better carnival crabcakes. Also the baked potato I ordered I asked for real butter and in the flavor of this butter product did not seem to be true butter, Butter has a distinct flavor compared other products. Also the coleslaw had very little flavor or taste it was edible but not delicious. Im not saying I want to try again because I thought possibly think either someone in charge was not doing their job or possibly there was not the best cook on duty . I do hope to come back in again and I hope it will be a better experience because you have a nice restaurant

Dont waste your money or stomach! My first experience with this place was horrible. I ordered carry out for my husband for Fathers Day. For a crab cake dinner and a crab cake sandwich it was $47.00 which was fine if they tasted good. My husband took one bite and pushed the plate away. My daughter tried hers and said not only were they raw, but the taste was not Maryland crab, instead it was sour and smelled bad. Since we are business owners as well, my husband called and talked to York, he apologized and said he wanted us to be happy with our experience so he said he would refund our money. I went back the next day and Andre, the GM, said he knew nothing of this and I walked out of there embarrassed and penny less. So its obvious, they dont stand behind their word. You would have thought that since they were up for "Baltimore Best" that they would be on their best behavior. Go to the Maryland Mallet on 97, it was Gary and Dells seafood restaurant. They stand behind their word and their food is great !! Shame shame , Rock salt

1st and last time. Ordered to go, but that should have no impact on quality. Item 1 was the rock fish with rice and salad. Rock-fish had bones. Are you kidding me? Who wants to have a mouth full of bones. The rice was great, and so was the salad. Item 2 was the shrimp basket with fries and cole slaw. The fish was raw, so we had to put it in the microwave to cook it. Soon as I bit into it, the shrimp was clear as if they never cooked it, yet the crust looked done. My guess is they had the grease so hot it cooked the outside, and no the inside. Also, they gave us no cocktail sauce. And finally, the fries were soggy and greasy. The owner (man) was well dressed, but didnt seem interested in details. Seemed like watching the football game was more interesting. His wife sat at the bar with her computer and she too, acted as if they were guests and not owners. Such a shame, since I had high hopes. You really want people to succeed, but you must pay attention to details.

This was our first visit here and probably our last. When we walked in there was no hostess and none of the help offered to help. Five minutes later, she aproached us, she seemed dazed not knowing what to do. It took her a while until she decided to seat us. When were seated, no one came to take our drink or lunch order. It wasnt until my husband, out of frustration, got up and put on his jacket. Our server never approached us. The manager assigned our table to another server and was great. We ordered the rockfish bites as recommended by one of the servers and they were delicious. I ordered a cream of crab/MD crab soup and BLT sandwich. They were delicious. My husband ordere the scallop lunch. The scallops were good, but the overall meal was on the salty side. The hostess and server problem was the main issue; other than that the food was delicious.
