My friends and I went to Seven Seas for the very first time after several other friends recommended it to me since I love good fresh seafood and authenticate Chinese food. I ordered the live steamed tilapia, lobster in ginger and scallions, laughing bird shrimp, and seafood hotpot. I was extremely pleased with the tilapia because the flesh was so sweet yet firm which is very hard to come by. The lobster was another huge surprise since i wasnt expecting a second lobster for free on Thursday. So I recommend going Thursday. The laughing bird shrimp had a very refreshing sensation that woke up my taste buds. The seafood hot pot was delicious. It is a fusion of seafood cooked in a light sauce which doesnt over power the freshness. The services was very friendly and inviting. I am surely going back to this place because its now my new favorite restaurant.

We came on Thanksgiving. We were in town for an event and was trying to find someplace open for lunch. They were there and were very welcoming and helpful. The sesame chicken was the best I have had in years. So often the taste of ketchup is overpowering, but this was just a sweet And tasty sauce! Chicken was cooked to perfection. The orange chicken has a bite to it, but the flavor is wonderful. As good as the food was, the service was even better! My son was sick and I wanted to get soup in him quickly. They bent over backwards to accommodate. Thank you Seven Seas! Will come again next time we are in the area.

The last 2 delivery orders that I received from this place were horrible. The food that was delivered to me today by UberEats was not edible. The kung pao chicken was sour (Vinegar after taste) and the crab meat rangoons were soggy and undercooked. UberEats said they cannot refund my money... I am still waiting to hear why. The manager/owner of Seven Seas said he would cook me new food (puke) or refund my money minus the 30% that Uber takes from them. Ubereats and Seven Seas are run by CLOWNS. Keep the money. Thats the last time I eat at this rat hole.

The food at Seven Seas is really sub par. Its not poor quality, but after trying half a dozen dishes Ive been unable to find anything Id call "good". The menu seems poorly put together. On the upside the staff are pretty friendly, and theres nothing obviously wrong about the restaurant. Seven Seas might be good if youre not in a discerning mood, but those looking for a better Chinese dining experience should probably look elsewhere.

It appears very American Chinese but there are actually some authentic Chinese dishes: you need to dig through the menu to locate them though. The spicy sautéed okra pork and squid dish was so good. Its a special type of spice. However, it is a bit overpriced for the region full of good Chinese food, and the service was near non-existent.

I ordered from their online menu-- very convenient! The food was delivered quickly, and it was a good quantity for the price. It was also delicious- made of fresh ingredients. I love how many vegetable options they have, in addition to the ordinary take-out selection. I got a bento box-- it was plenty of food.

It was a nice experience, lots of chinese food, but it did not taste the best and I probably would not recommend it to a friend. The restaurant wasnt what you could say luxurious, it did not look like a real professional chinese restaurant. 2 times we got the wrong food than what we ordered.

There was a fly around the table when we got there. The two see food dishes we ordered were not good at all. They looked unprofessionally prepared and taste the same way. I seldom cook at home but I bet I can make the same dishes much better than them. The service is not that good either.

I have to say that Ive tried many Chinese restaurants but this was the worst Chinese food weve ever had!!! No taste, very bland, sauces were like gelatin with no taste. Even the noodles tasted like Ramen noodles without the seasoning. So terrible and it was $50 for 3 people!!!!!!!!

Ive been ordering take out/deliver from here for years. They usually get here a lot quicker than they say. Food is tasty and hot/fresh. Maybe out of 30 times they might have made one mistake but quickly corrected it with no fuss. Highly recommend if you are in Rockville area.

May 4, 2013, service was slow and the waiter had a hard time understanding our order, served the wrong dish, beef with string beans instead of chicken and string beans. The food was ok, but way to salty for our tastes. I asked for a desert menu, never came so we paid and left.

Food was OK. Overpriced and if you do decide to do the afternoon tasting they are cheap about it. Small portions and they charge an extra 175 for a small bowl of rice even though 2 people are sharing.
