No one except waitress knew if they accepted entertainment cards.greeter told us $2 for a second dish of pasta. After 10 min wait, waitress told us cannot combine offers -not listed on menu, no one else knew this; we already picked out our dishes.we left. waitress had come and acknowledged us earlier and we had had known that prior to picking out what we wanted, we would have been fine with it. But given we just picked out our dishes and were about to order, it makes it complicated. I mean, what if we had wanted to reformulate our order, she would have taken another 10 minutes to come back! They forgot about us before, why not now? We asked if she could ask the manager about combining offers. Very quickly the manager basically repeated what she had said. We felt like we were being accused of trying to scam the system even though this was our first visit there and we knew nothing about their specials prior to going. The manager especially made us feel very unwelcome in the restaurant on our first visit and I really just wanted to leave. We left, went across the street and had an amazing burger, yum!

I decided to try something new today so I came here and ordered a chicken pesto pizza and lasagna to go. The pizza I thought was pretty good. The toppings worked pretty well together and made a overall good pizza. But when I had the lasagna... it was terrible :/. Way to much cheese, not really any pasta to be seen , and once that was done they threw it in a to go container and dumped sooo much sauce on top. I thought it was horrendous. I took a couple bites and I literally couldnt have anymore. Then I decided to dump out some of this pool of sauce thinking it would taste a little better but the cheese became way to overwhelming. I personally aernt very picky when it comes to food but cmon. The minestrone soup that came as a side for the lasagna was ok. It reminded me of school lunch soup xD the lasagna was $15! I thought it is was a terrible waste and pretty expensive as well. I dont see myself going there again anytime soon.

I wanted to thank Ali and Charles for their professionalism, kindness and an awesome spread at our annual function. The quality of the food was just as great as it would be if you were sitting down in the restaurant. Which by the way is AWESOME. Everyone kept asking me WHERE did this food come from? By the number of people that asked and the enthusiasm attached to the sound of their voices, it was easy to see that everyone was happy and impressed. This was my third year organizing this outdoor function and I never got this kind of feed back. Fontina Grill is one of the few places my sister will eat when she is visiting from Atlanta because she is so picky about having fresh, not over processed and healthy food. My boyfriend said the eggplant parmesan was the best he ever had. Everything is so good I cannot decide. Thanks again so much for everything! Lisa F.

On December 19th, I had my graduation dinner party at Fontina Grille. It was a large party and my guests and I were all treated like royalty. The food was amazing, I really liked their calamari, the manicotti was so delicious, and the mini cannolis were so yummy. The service was the absolute best, for such a large party they were able to cater to everyones needs in the best timing too. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Jad was an incredible manager and always available for last minute additions, and Adriana the bartender was also wonderful. I cant remember the servers names that attended to our party but they were just extremely pleasant and worked to give the best and fastest service possible. Thank you so much Fontina Grille for making this a memorable evening.

I was a member of a group of seven from Georgia that stayed in Rockville, MD for a week. Six of us stopped at the Fontina Grille from lunch on our way to Washington DC.. They had a buffet, but we opted for sandwiches instead. The sandwiches impressed us so much that we decided to stop at the Fontina Grille for dinner on our way back into Rockville. We rolled in just before they closed and we were hot and tired, so I asked the server to bring 6 glasses of water and leave the pitcher. He didnt leave the pitcher, but was right on time with keeping our water glasses filled. The food was amazing (two of us ordered a small Pizza ala Vodka). The atmosphere and service was excellent. Fontina Grille is one of those places a person would want to put on their bucket list.

My wife and I have eaten at just about every Italian restaurant within 30 miles of our house. We have found that Fontina Grille is the place to go for the Chicken Marsala. We have tried other things on the menu and it is as good, if not better, then the other places we have eaten at. The staff is very attentive and the manager is always willing to help out his staff if they are busy. Recently we were riding our motorcycles and the wife wanted to go there for a quick meal. We were ready to pay, and very happy, and the server apologized for not being as attentive as she should have been, due to it being busy. I was shocked that she even felt she needed to apologize but that is the type of service we always get.

This restaurant was pretty good overall. The staff was friendly and polite, but not the fastest. The free bread was also decent, though it was rather basic and it was a touch stale. The prices were perhaps a bit too high but not outrageously so. I got the chicken parmesan and was pleased with it. The chicken was cooked nicely and not too dried out (as is frequently the case with chicken parmesan at restaurants) and the red sauce was different from your typical restaurant marinara (and in my opinion much better than a typical marinara). Overall I was pretty pleased with this place and would go back.

Latest update. Aug 2013. This place keeps getting better and is now really good. The pizza is really top class. and the wings beats places like Buffalo Wild Wings hollow. Great neighborhood joint. The other food ia good too. And ask for glutton free pizza if you are looking to eat a gluton free diet. Newer Edit-Apr, 2010: This is recovering under the new management. The service has improved considerably, and the martinis have as well! The food is still average. Hope they turn that around too. Overall, this is a decent neighborhood joint to take the family, or to hang out with friends.

Come here for lunch quite often and have never been disappointed. Talon seems to always be there smiling ready to provide top notch service. I am not very adventurous when it comes to food and she has memorized my order even after not being back for a couple months. Was very impressed. Going to have to try to come during the evening to actually enjoy a drink as I have seen it get pretty busy on the weekends when passing by. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a reasonably priced meal with great service!
