Food was pretty good, service was ok, but our mixed drinks tasted like there was mildew in the club soda tap. As far as food, my crab dip appetizer was unfortunately not to my liking - it was very thick, almost solid, and wasnt very hot. Ive had crab dip many places and it seems like a hard thing to get wrong, but this was just not good. My linguini with shrimp on the other hand was excellent, really very good. Annoyingly we couldnt have a mixed drink because the drinks tasted like mold. It was a very bad taste and Ive never had that happen before anywhere. Our server brought us two rounds to try and fix it but both were undrinkable. I really didnt want wine that night but that was my only choice, and my husband drank beer. The crab cake w/fried green tomatoes appetizer looked awesome and my friend really loved it. Overall I think everyone was very happy with their food. The service was a little spotty - the server seemed pretty overwhelmed when we got there and it took a good 20 minutes to get drinks. The server was a nice enough person, just seemed frazzled and preoccupied - but this did improve as things became a little less busy. Although we had some things that did not go well I would give it another try bc the linguini was really good and I assume that theyll get the tap fixed. Its really popular and crowded so I assume our issues were anomalies. They have a nice outside seating area - the inside is pretty noisy but that didnt bother us. The decor is really cute.

My boyfriend and I came here for an impromptu date night, I wanted to try somewhere new and I kept passing this restaurant on my way home, finally remembered to try it and so glad we did!!! I was pleasantly surprised with this place and especially for it being in mount airy. The food was really rich, my drink wasnt my favorite, I ended up getting a special sangria they had but it wasnt very sweet. Our waitress Delores was EXTREMELY helpful as it was our first time here and didnt have any clue what we wanted to order. The place was a little loud for my taste, but other than that it was fantastic, the decor was very nice. We came in about 8:40ish and it was still pretty busy but we got sat right away and it cleared out pretty quickly throughout our meal. The prices were pretty reasonable, it was way cheaper than if we had gone to longhorn. Boyfriend got the steak salad and I got the cornbread chicken they were both delicious and very filling. We were glad we didnt get an appetizer because I could barely eat much of my meal because I got full so quickly. Overall the place was really good and I was very impressed with everything, the prices were reasonable and we will definitely be returning. The wait staff was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu.

The food was good. The service was spotty. But management did toss in a free desert drink for the ladies. Atmosphere was cool. Relaxed and laid back Crabby fried green tomatoes were outstanding. Huge crab cake on perfectly seasoned and fried tomatoes...nom. Worth the money. Calamari was just a hair over done but the batter was tasty and just the right amount of salt. The Thai chili sauce was a nice touch with the fried jalapeños. Good over all. Burgers were cooked to perfection. Seasoned well and well presented. However, they came out of the kitchen all wrong. Both were supposed to be no bun with onion and one no bun no onion. One came out on a bun with onions and one no bun no Onions. Not a deal breaker by any means but still not satisfactory. Another in the party had the cornbread chicken which came out of the kitchen with little bits of tin foil stuck to the top of it....whats going on in the kitchen? As bad as it was we would give this place another shot. They made the effort to make it a good over all experience which was appreciated. .

This was our second and, probably our last time going to Boulder. The first time (about a month ago), Joey and a friend of ours ordered prime rib, which was on their specials menu. After 10 minutes our waiter said...sorry, we dont have prime rib. Joey told the waiter..... "its on your specials menu" and he was told.... sorry, it shouldnt have been. Then he ordered a t-bone steak. Honest to gosh, 10 minutes later the waiter comes back again and says... "sorry, we dont have t-bone steaks tonight". Really??? Then he ordered a rib eye and said it was okay but not great. Tonight, Joey ordered the prime rib, that was, once again on their specials menu. He said it was horrible, no taste, fat and full of gristle. His veggies were cold and his mashed potatoes were like soup. I had blackened salmon which was very good. Our server was a 5 on a 1-10 scale - we were her only table so I dont know why she wasnt more attentive. Our two experiences were not the best - might not be the same for everyone!

Dined here first time with another couple. All of us were very pleased with our meals all having something different. Waiter was attentive and engaging. With all the tables occupied it was on the noisy side as the dining room is fairly small and a bit crowded. Outside seating available as well which looked comfortable. Pricing reasonable with most dinners $18 to $28 range and there is lighter fair with nice looking burgers and sandwiches. Nice wine list and beers as well. We will certainly return.

Want to like this place as the western end of Howard Co/eastern Frederick is desperate for a good restaurant& bar. However, not sure that this establishment has it figured out yet. After visiting twice, the service is still slow at best and they do everything possible to avoid giving customers the nightly deals and justify it based on where in the establishment you sit or the exact minute you sit or order...very chincy, if you ask me. Will be a while before Im ready to be burned - AGAIN

The Bolder restaurant is definitely worth checking out . Mark and I loved our dinner. The cornbread chicken was awesome. I enjoyed my apple walnut salad while enjoying their mule beverages. And the strawberry nachos were amazing. We will be going back for sure. And some people we be getting Bolder gift certificates from us for Christmas! Loved the atmosphere. The decor is stellar and the wait staff, owners and employees are outstanding.

Never Again If I could give zero starts I would. The place is so noisy on a Thursday night at 7PM that you can NOT hear the person sitting next to you. The service is adequate to slow. The food is terrible. Cheese pizza with cheddar cheese. Burger that was raw and cool. Mixed Grill overcooked to dry chewy tastelessness. The only mitigating factor was the bottle of red wine that at its price point was pretty good.

Food was good. Had a reservation for 7:30, but they still made us wait 30 minutes. Got Smirnoff on the rocks at the bar that smelled and tasted funky (like mildew), like really old ice was used or something. Got Iced tea with dinner tasted like it was made from a cheap mix. Both drinks were checked by other people who agreed about t b email taste, so its not just me.
