Let me start by saying "DO NOT EVER GO". We had a office Christmas party about 2 weeks back and it was the worse place we have ever been to and on the top of that they will do everything in their power to rip you off. Service was horrible they we literally rushing us to eat early and leave.. come on guys it was our Christmas party. They brought my appetizer and entree together, who does that? People were still eating entree on our table they already started serving desert so half the table was eating entree and other half dessert. We talked to party planner and had e-mail conversation about having some vegetarian and we were charge per person amount plus addition full price for vegetarian entree and guess what, only vegetarian option they had was Pizza (for Christmas dinner ??). On the contract, it was mentioned that sodas will be part of fixed menu and guess what they still charged us. I wish google had minus star, Oakville Grille and wine Bar would have definitely gotten one IF YOU HAVENT BEEN TO RIP OFF RESTAURANT AND HAVENT HAD HORRIBLE SERVICE BEFORE, this is the right place to go, so that you can appreciate good ones.

I was a customer several years ago but a few bad experiences with seating and service caused my wife and I to move on. I wasnt impressed with the food either that seemed expensive and good but not great. Tonight, however, I gave it a second chance and I had the best filet mignon Ive ever tasted. And it was huge, with excellent asparagus and delicious potato cakes. And all for $31. Incredible. Im going to be regular. The service staff were familiar, but excellent this time around. Im not sure if it is new management or a new chef, but Im a big fan now. My guests were equally impressed (it was a convenient place to meet for a work dinner). Next, Im bringing my wife back. Thanks Oakville!

Ive enjoyed eating at the Oakville Grill in the past, but I was totally unprepared for the dining experience I had on a recent Sunday evening. I can only assume that it was the chefs night off because our meal was hugely disappointing. We ordered lamb chops and filet mignon and both meals were remarkably tasteless and bland — making flavorful mashed potatoes, for example, should not pose any serious challenge to a reasonably talented kitchen. The ambiance is lovely, the service is good, but I cannot imagine what happened to the cook that evening. I hope that there is a reasonable explanation behind this very unsatisfactory experience.

Ate here with a colleague after work. The duck confit was superb. My colleague really enjoyed the serving of muscles in garlic broth. The wines were delectable. Chris, the bartender, took care of us. Everything came out quickly and at the perfect temperature. I plan on coming back here with friends in the near future. Kudos to all involved in putting together a great restaurant experience for people in the area to enjoy.

Lets face it. This is one of the few non-chain food options in this part of Bethesda, and thankfully, the food here is delicious. For lunch, I recommend the shrimp & avocado salad or the black angus burger. For dinner, try the scallops. If youre rolling solo, the bar is a great place to dine. Travelers often eat here, so you can meet new people. Also, l recall having a lemon drop that was extra potent.

We stayed in Maryland for a wedding and visited this lovely place we found on open table. We had the grilled trout and the local rock fish. Both were excellent. The wine selection was wonderful. The hostess and wait staff were all very friendly and attentive. We live in Ohio but if in Maryland again, we would return without hesitation.

Bethesda restaurant was better than expected. Food is fresh and reliable; not overly messed around with. Grilled salmon and chocolate mousse were particularly tasty. Decent wine list. Service can be slow but is solicitous. Space is comfortable if a bit cramped; a good place to take parents or grandparents.

Decent dinner, however they share the kitchen with a lower scale restaurant located next door, Geppetos. This really detracts from the premium prices you pay for a fine meal. The service was nothing to be proud of either. The waiter had no unique recommendations/input with regards to the wine list.

I came here with my mom for her birthday, we ordered calamari to start and it was perfectly fried not dried at all. For our entree we shared the whole Lobster Thermidor which was incredibly delicious. I wish they have that dish all the time.

The calamari wasnt anything more special than microwavable ones. The special they had tonight was possibly the worst thing I have ever eaten. It was extremely hard on the crust, like crunching through a sea shell.

There with friends on their 58th wedding anniversary we were all delighted with the service and the wonderful food. A sure place to visit again.
