Pleasantly surprised to see that majority of the staff were Japanese. I loved their kimonos! It was a busy Saturday with a 15 minute wait. Our chef gave a good show in preparing our dinner and although he was friendly.... He was a bit sloppy and very intense but thats what Teppanyaki is all about. The fire, the banging knives, the Chef using his spatula to hurl a piece of shrimp into your mouth. Im a sucker for over the top theatrics, pyrotechnics and that fun volcano made of onions. Heads up if you are sitting in front .. they dont mess around with that flame. The woman who sat in front touched her face to see if she still had brows/lashes. My husband and I were safe on the sidelines. Overall this is a fantastic place to dine and enjoy and we would totally return. I would have given 5 stars but my table wasnt wiped down before we were seated and I had put my phone down on some thick sticky sauce.

Ordered carry out, asked for shrimp flambe side dish for $7.50, the person cleverly tricked me into ordering the entree for $25. The shrimp is not deveined i have taken pictures which i will upload soon. Bad stuff, Im sure id had a bad stomach had i eaten that. The soup is more water than soup with an unhappy looking mushroom slice floating. The salad is a dismal looking heap of shrivelled lettuce and nothing else. The steamed rice is generous, but thats not what we pay $25 for. The kids Teriyaki chicken for $9 is so less, its not even 4 ounces like the manager claims, more sauce than chicken and more rice than needed. The called the manager immediately who just said "thats business". He dared me to go to the HEALTH DEPARTMENT!!!! ****tard. He even said that kids menu items cost the same but portions are less. What crap!

My husband and I went to this restaurant on the second night of our honeymoon. Being out-of-towers we relied on the internet to tell us where the good Japanese restaurants were and decided on Sakura. We wanted sushi only, and as such did not sample the larger, pricier entrees, but our experience was extremely present. Prices for sushi were average and fair, the sushi itself was delicious, but most of all, the bartender at the sushi bar (whose name we unfortunately did not get), was remarkably friendly and we talked with him as if he were a longtime friend of ours. I have read one or two less-than-great reviews on this place and hope that they were just isolated incidents, because my husband and I had a wonderful little dinner at this restaurant. I would certainly recommend it.

The staff was great! Amazing service from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. That absolutely wasnt the issue. The issue was the price. When I see $24 for an entree I expect (especially at a hibachi place) to get more than just a handful of rice on my plate. Granted the meat portions were fine. But how are you going to skimp out on the cheapest part of the entree? And my $9 sushi roll consisted of 5 pieces Unfortunately, we probably wont be back just because they are way overpriced on what they actually give you! A+ on the service though, I will give them that!

So this is a Hibachi Grill with sushi. Very attentive chefs are good food is good while this is a chain I enjoyed the show and service. A great place for a group or family to come. Meal options are not too expensive however drinks are little water down. I got a geisha and all I tasted was orange juice was very disappointed. Well Im not expecting a bar drink I am expecting something with a good balance. But I didnt come here for the drinks I came here for the food and entertainment and that all is a top so they lost no stars

Ive been coming to Sakura for a really long time and this location has been my favorite so far. I definitely prefer it to the one in Laurel and over Ginza Tokyo in Fulton, MD. The atmosphere here provides a pleasant, open vibe during busy times and the "family-style" seating is the hallmark feature of any Japanese steakhouse. The restaurant itself is clean and the cooks are fantastic. I typically stick to teriyaki or hibachi chicken, but theres tons of great options here.

They seat you in a semi-circle with a group surrounding the grill. A server takes your order and then the chef comes out to cook the food in front of you - puts on a great show. The yum-yum sauce and herb butter used to cook the meal is DELICIOUS. The onion soup is D-LICIOUS. Sauteed veggies are D-LICIOUS! Your options are chicken, steak, shrimp, lobster. I ordered the filet and shrimp. He ordered chicken and shrimp. The bill was $60 - WORTH IT!

Ate there once before, and it was good. Went there for lunch, and the food was not cooked before us. It was brought out, and some of us received cold food or luke warm food. We were very disappointed after going there before and to the Olney, MD location. Complained to the manager but he only said he would give us a 20% discount on the next meal. We should have just got up and left. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Dont waste your time going here.

The entire place was filled with smoke from the grills. Ive been to plenty hibachi restaurants and never are they this smokey. Poor ventilation system. The food was clean tasting and I liked it . We had wonderful conversation with others at out table. Minus 2 stars for the smoke- its a big turn off. other than it was nice- lots of families were there. Not really recommended for a romantic couples getaway.

Didnt understand that just because 1 person was allergic to something the rest of the table could have it. They tried to be accomadating but they werent very successful. Also they didnt put on any show. It was also very loud there. I had to yell to talk to the person next to me. About 3 years ago I used to go a lot and they where much better back then.

Great Hibatichi steakhouse. Their fried rice is the best Ive ever had and everything else on the menu is great. Service is quick a friendly. It can be loud, if youve been to a Hibatichi grill before then youll know what your getting into. Great place for kids and families.

Very entertaining Hibachi chefs, especially when you have kids. Food is good, but weve had more flavorful Hibachi. I just pour on the yum yum sauce and the ginger sauce on my plate!

Went for lunch when the grill was closed, so we received our food from the kitchen. I was expecting to see the food prepared in front of me. Food was delicious
