I want to preface by saying that this has been my favorite sushi restaurant for years and that the food is consistently delicious and affordable. That said, I will never be back here ever again. Last night, we parked, went in to eat, and were towed from the lot before our drink order arrived, a whopping six minutes of being on premises in total. We were then put through a three hour ordeal, during which the property manager falsely accused us of walking off property to another restaurant. This manager (who refused to give his name) attempted to implicate his own children in his fraudulent narrative, claimed to have video evidence that he refused to produce, along with a timeline he would not corroborate, and refused to consider that he had my husband confused with another black male. In the end, were given our car back free of charge. Turns out, Henrys Wrecker Service (who I have also reviewed here on yelp), towed the wrong car and rather than admit to wrongdoing, both the towing company staff and the property manager of the restaurant decided to lie until the (false) blame stuck to us. I loved this restaurant, but the food and service are not so good that I will return and once again risk predatory and illegal seizure of my property, as well as an attempt to frame myself or my husband as violators of policy and law. We no longer feel safe patronizing this restaurant.

This was my favorite sushi spot until i found a roach in our food. I understand it was not the servers fault but the first option was to comp the food that it was in. i politely declined because its ridiculous that i ate more than just that meal. i dont know if they were any roaches in my other food. in the end i did not want to create a scene so i just accepted them to comp what they thought was right. we still ended up being charged for food. i will never go to this place again and i advise everyone to inspect your food. we found it in our tempura dish. It was located inside the fried vegetable. i have called everyday to speak to the General Manager and he is never there. I also wanted to take a picture of the roach but the server reacted quick and took the dish away.

Always getting take out- good food- great atmosphere- wish We could eat there more. It is really too bad there are not more nicer restaurants in this shopping center like RM. 12/2015: Editing My review- the food seems to have gone a bit downhill over the last 6 months for some reason. We will still eat here- just so they dont close. Im not sure what the problem is- but they need to figure out what is wrong in the kitchen. I usually get some sushi (always OK- not too exciting) & the Gen. Tso Shrimp. Taste & texture have been way off from when they opened. I hope they clean it up. This is a great restaurant to have in the neighborhood and I hope their business is doing well.

Overall the food is delicious, Ive been there a couple of times. The reason why I am giving this restaurant a poor rating is because the staff was rude and unprofessional the last time I visited. I was getting my car fixed across the street and I decided to order some food while I was waiting for my car. Initially, I ordered my food to go, but decided to eat in instead because the car shop doesnt have a waiting room. After eating my meal, while exiting the restaurant one of the staff told me I shouldnt have ate in the restaurant because I ordered my food to go and he continued by stating that "this is not McDonald". Luckily for him he caught me on my good day.

Purchased a few simple items from the Grubb Rd location a couple nights ago and they were all pretty bad. They list sea urchin on their menu, but no longer carry because not enough people were buying it. The chicken satay was awful. Marinated in soy sauce and very salty, plus no peanut sauce. Crispy duck roll was rolled in tortilla wrap and sliced. Not interesting and not that good. Miso soup tasted sandy and had tiny cubes of tofu. Threw out. My friend got seafood Udon noodle soup which was the tastiest item, but pretty bland and nothing special. I think this location should close. Will never go back there.

Theres two things I come here for, the sushi and the general tso. Sushi is great and the prices are very fair. There are tons of different rolls from simple to specialty rolls. The general tso is one of my favorites, hot and extra crispy. So good lol. The staff is nice and you can tell people like this place because theres normally a wait to get seated. Only downside is that they dont deliver lol, but you cant really criticize them for that. Carry out is available though.

My friends have been dining here for years and I finally had time to stop by and try their sushi. We ordered everything from salmon, shrimp tempura, snow crab rolls. I had the chirashi which had plenty of fish but they did include imitation crab meat and egg. Not a huge fan at all. Overall food is decent and reasonably price. Ill be back to try some of their other entries. Restaurant had wide open concept with plenty of seating for parties of 4-6 people.

A nice addition to the Woodmore area which is critically short of good eats. We have been going to the Red Maple for about a year and each time the food seems to get better as they find their way. Funny thing is that we are not sushi fans but have taken to ordering some each time we dine there. And, each time it has been delicious. Overall the food is very good and getting better including some fine salads-a nice trend to see in a restaurant.

Went on a Monday afternoon for lunch. Service and Ambience were fine. Lunch specials were definitely worth it, especially the sushi rolls; at 3 rolls (18 pcs) for around $10-$11 it was a steal. Apps: Hot & Sour, Miso Soup, Kani Salad were all good. Sushi: Nigiri options were super delicious; had the Mackerel, Eel, Salmon, White Tuna, and Tuna Overall, Id definitely go back again soon. Decent service, great sushi.

Their sushi is on point...always made well and tastes fresh. The other main courses are average. I usually always get their sushi and I really enjoy the variety and creativity of their sushi dishes. Staff members are rather drab...you get the idea that they dont want to work there or that maybe there are having a bad day. Luckily, I take out most of the time so it doesnt affect me too much.

You know that any place serving two kinds of cuisine is going to suffer from "master of none" syndrome. So it goes here. Stick with the Thai - hard to go wrong with that. But its uninspired, so patronize if youre in the area, but if youre looking for an experience, head to Silver Spring or Wheaton where the offerings are more substantial.

The tuna tataki was on point and the shrimp tempura rolls were money. Ordered a wonton soup and the crispy wontons were actually made there and fresh out of the fryer. I usually only trust Hanami in College Park to wow me with sushi, but this place has got it going on. And the owner got me to do a saki bomb!
