This place WAS the best Ive been to Ethiopian restaurant. But, this is going to be my last time coming here. The men restroom smells bad and its is noticeable even before you get seated. Once you sat for a minute, you will get used to it. LoL. There are one or two servers that are keen, but Im assuming they dont work on weekdays. Every time Im here on weekdays, the servers are slow and sometimes you only see them once when they bring the food. I like the regular kitfo and that was the only reason I come here despite the above issues. The place looks great and not like any other Ethiopian restaurants in the area. The look is different. But, again, if I cant seat or get served, what is the point. Actually, Im typing this while me and my friend were waiting for one of the servers come get us a bill.

This place is the worst place I have ever been in Ethiopian restaurants and clubs. The place is so stinky and the management did not put any effort to correct this problem. I have been there three times and I had the same horrible experience. This is the last time that I will be here; even though I like the cowboy style musician. He is the best. I was surprised! how on earth is possible to serve food here? The county health department should take corrective action. I cant imagine this is happening in America. This is shame! It can have a negative impression on Ethiopian restaurants who are working hard and provide amazing services. I hope someone will take this issue seriously and breath clean if I ever come back here.

Thank you for ruined our holiday !! Group of friend and family we went out to celebrate Ethiopian Christmas That night we all shocked for what happened. Its the most awkward moment of my life because we are not expected this is coming specially from the owner. We all knows most owners they going table to table to Greeting customers not to FIGHT !!! Nice crowd and good music but the owner of the restaurant I think hes drunk and fighting with customers for no reason!! When I say fight physical!!! I saw him fighting with Other two customers including me Its very disrespectful and unprofessional. He literally attack me because I was asking him why he turned off the TV

For the first time I was at Balagger Ethiopian restaurant Silver spring Md, The Food is great I mean delicious, the waitress are great! The place is beautiful with a lot of privacy. But There is one thing it bothers me a lot!! The mans rest room ,its stink the smell Is so bad. just to wash your hand you Have to hold your breath. The rest room looks clean but the bad smell came from some where like upstairs or downstairs or It could be from the adjacent building were the smell came from I mean you need to figure it out. Hope the owner or manager will do Somethings about it . Other than that I love the place.!!!

The food is amazing, but as mentioned in 2 other reviews, the smell from the bathrooms are extremely off putting. I went there for dinner with my family this past Saturday and we were originally seated right next to the bathroom. The smell was so bad that we asked to be moved. I have been to the location in Virginia multiple times and this was never a problem. The 2 stars is solely for the smell. They just need to clean the bathrooms regularly.

Balagger recently changed into a coffee house called "Grounds". The coffee is good but not great, as are the pastries. One of the reasons Im only giving them an "average" review is because they are in an area with a lot of coffee houses; they dont really stand out based on coffee, pastries, or service. Some of the other places in the neighborhood have better food, service, or decor.

After five hectic working days, I go to Balagger either Saturday or Sunday. The food, especially the Tibs, which I usually eat, is so delicious. The full contemporary & traditional live bands are great, which I have never come across in our restaurants; I feel like I go to concert. No worries of Parking. I really enjoy & love this place.

The best Ethiopian restaurant in the Metro area. Try the Kikil and the tibs, phenomenal. Great service, and the ambience is relaxing. It features airy high cieling with good sitting arrangements. This is a beautiful place for both a romantic outing or a group setting.

The best Ethiopian restaurant in the area. The food is awesome and the ambiance can not be beat. I especially love the Balagger tibs and the kikil, the meat is tender and very tasty. Its the perfect place to take guests for their first taste of Ethiopian cuisine.

Went to Balageru on Sat for dinner, the men restroom smells bad & we changed our table. we have asked to see the manager twice and he refused to come and talk to us. Food was excellent.!!! next time i will definitely go to Falls Church Balageru.

Big Ethiopian restaurant with pleasant service, variety of food and drinks. Moreover on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night there is live music both in the bar and restaurant. Great place to hangout with friends and perhaps for dating too.
