Summary: UNCLEAN and TERRIBLE SERVICE but if you need a great General Tsos fix, ok. Get TAKE OUT and hope you dont get food poisoning. Sushi: The sushi bar smelled like rotting fish. My husband had sushi, but thought it wasnt fresh and the texture was off. When we mentioned something, the waitress SCOWLED at us. (more below) Chinese: The General Tsos chicken was excellent, not too much breading or sauce. The sauteed shrimp and veggies were so laced heavily with MSG it was barely edible. The noodles, which were supposed to be dryish, were swimming in sauce. Decor: It felt like a Night at the Roxburys. Fun, but in a tacky way. Sort of stuck in 80s. Service: The wait staff here is poorly suited for customer service. Rude, but efficient, more fearful of their manager than of a poor review, the waitresses are terrible. Avoid eating at the restaurant if you want to feel like you are being served versus scowled at. Dear Waitress: you need to watch Ramsays best restaurant and see how great service is supposed to be. You know, in case another customer finds TRASH in their miso soup. Instead of dismissing it, you should have gotten your manager and removed it from the bill. Instead, you SNEERED at us. You do not belong in the waitressing business but somewhere where you dont have to see other people. You dont know how to make people welcome and we will never come here again.

I had the worst experience at this restaurant yesterday. I came in about 4:00 pm for the Happy Hour special. I ordered a few items. I didnt like one of the items and asked the waitress if she can come assist me. She put her finger up at me to wait and didnt come back till another 10 mins. I had to ask another waitress to come over and she seems as if i was bothering you. I explained that i no longer wanted the calamari and if i can get something else. She was very rude to me and said "what do you want" in a nasty tone. I asked her to get my waitress so i can talk to her. She would not give me the waitresses name which is also very uncalled for. The waitress came over and was very nasty with me. She had a big attitude and kept rolling her eyes. I then canceled my food and asked for the check. The waitress could have asked another waitress to assist me if she would be gone for 10 mins. After this experience, I will not be back at this restaurant. You literally feel like a burden when asking them to get you more lemonade or sushi and i dont enjoy that feeling. I will be speaking to the manager about this today. The waitresses names are GRACE (works at the bar)- terrible attitude and doesnt enjoy her job and also DORA. If i receive better customer service i will come back. until then im telling everyone NOT TO GO THERE. They arent friendly and take forever to get your food.

We love sushi we have to have them once a week or more often. We like everything of Asian Palace: the décor, the atmosphere, service, and above all, food. Our favorites are Sushi/Sashimi meals together or separate. Fish are the freshest all around and the portions are thick and large. Presentations draw eyes in admiration. Beside fish meals, we’ve also tried and liked Drunken Noodles, chicken curry, etc. Only dish they might improve on is Korean BBQ Short Ribs (We are Korean-Americans). They were too salty, too sweet, and a bit overdone. Asian Palace is near our home and my wife and I are very happy about it. It has become our routine stop and Michael, Mina, Connie and others make us feel welcome there. We found one and AP is it. We dine there, order food-to-go, take delivery, and entertain our family+friends there. I am also thinking about a large dinner party of 30+ people there sometime later this year. I’ll then write a repot on it. Jai & Kaejoo Ryu

Let me start by saying the food was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, clean, and a little ritzy. The bar area was a nice touch too. But here is why only three stars. I ordered carry out, the Dragon & Phoenix - one of my favorite combos (General Tsos chicken and a Shrimp & Veggies combo). It was not a lunch special! It was $16.00. Pricey, but I figured I can eat it for dinner later as well and make it worth the extra cost. Got back to my office and found it was lunch special size and only had 5 shrimp (a lot more veggies). I love Chinese/Sushi for lunch. Since it is close to my office and the food was delicious, I will go back. But it was a bad first impression and I will be very aware of making sure I get a lunch special next time.

We went to this restaurant on Saturday. What a disappointment. The hot and sour soup was just short of boiling and had that smokey flavor rather hot. The entree was salt and pepper scallops. The menu said they were jumbo scallops. The scallops appeared to be shark cut with a circular tool and loaded with tampora batter. The only thing jumbo was the amount of batter. The vegetable bed was shredded lettuce!!! The long island ice tea was the price of a long island but was closer to a rum a coke. Save your money. There are so many great Chinese restaurants in Howard County. Dont waste your time at this place. Wait staff was also disappointing and lacking in any type of social interaction.

I normally love everything about this place. Great food, great service. Tonight, though, I placed a substantial delivery order. I was told 45-60 minutes. 90 minutes later, I call back. They say the delivery is just arriving at my house. 15 minutes MORE, still no delivery. Then, 10 minutes later, they say she delivered it. Well, not to me. They did make fresh food and send it, but that was another 30 minutes and there was no offer of a discount or anything at all. I understand that mistakes happen, but some acknowledgement beyond a quickly stated "sorry" would have been a better business decision. They still make great food, but Ill have to think long and hard about ever going back.

Sushi is always fantastic, the lunch specials are wonderful and very affordable, and the decor is pleasing. However, I always feel like whenever I go in there Im interrupting the server from doing her homework or her chit-chats with other employees. I usually always get the same one, and shes never very friendly. Its a shame, because the chefs and hosts are always very polite and welcoming, and then when you sit down you almost feel like youre being an inconvenience for being there. I still go back almost weekly, but its sometimes its slightly jarring.

I wish there was a way to put 2 1/2 stars, so Im rounding up here. I ordered Carryout last year. (I know, whyd I wait?) Someone asked me about where to go and I remembered this place and said I personally didnt recommend based on the price and quality of my carry out order. They said the place had 4 stars, but I didnt believe them so I looked it up and sure enough, 4 stars. My limited experience was enough to decide not to go back. I felt the sushi at the grocery store was equal to if not better. Again, my person experience.
