My wife ordered jerk chicken with brown rice and vegetables. The chicken was dry, cold and the rice taste like it came from a heart patients menu at medstar. Also her meat patty was hard and cold. The waitress had to be tracked down to get a drink refill. I had curry vegetables with redskin potatoes and broccoli which was decent. I spent my date night talking about the poor food ans service. I left with a headache and still hungry. The manager gave me $5 off the jerk chicken, but they shouldve taken the entrée off the bill. If you wanna get drunk this is your spot. Oh I forgot they were moving tables past me while I was conversating with my wife. LOL. IF YOU WANT JAMAICAN FOOD GO TO MUFFIN MAN IN LANHAM MARYLAND OR TROPICANA, NEGRIL OR SWEET MANGO CAFE, LOCATED IN WASHINGTON D.C.

Cant review the food because I never tasted it! After a day of fasting, I was more than ready to eat at Irie Cafe, but the customer seevice was so horrible and SLOW, that I ended up leaving instead. Irie Cafe, you need to do much better with greeting your customers and serving them. I came in, saw there was a wait, was never acknowledged by the server--when I asked her a question, her response was rude as if she was irritated that I had one--so I left. When I didnt find a better dining option, I came back. The servers still ignored me, one chose to move trays, etc. before addressing this waiting (and hungry) customer. I didnt even get a "be right with you maam". I left. I will never return. They need to sweeten up a bit, put a smile on their face maybe. Bye Irie Cafe!

The food is decent, but the service is just not ideal. Always takes forever and a day. They always got one person working the front. And to top it off sometimes youll have to deal with attitudes from the staff. They rush you if you need help deciding instead of helping you. I only go here when Im absolutely desperate for Jamaican food. Really wish there was another spot in the area.

When first walking in you can smell the spices which are really great, even the flavor of there jerk spice is spicy and flavorful! Just watch out for the front staffs attitude and be ready to pay a little more than usual for the authenticity of the food.

I really like their food. I especially like the fact that they will let you try everything before you buy it! My co-workers and I enjoyed their take-out and their service, only thing is that it was a little slow.

I have the curry goat and it was not good.this is not how you cook curry goat.you do not make gravey.i get a small goat and it was.$16.00.I will never go back food is bad...I have two jamaican Restaurant in .ga

My husband and i found this place when visiting Maryland. We stop by every other month from North Carolina. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great environment and vibe. The food is beyond great! We love it!

Food was pretty good. Decor was nice and well kept. Bathrooms were clean. The staffs attitude was a bit rude. Price was just a little high, about $28 for two small dinners, coco bread, drinks.
