The food here isnt terrible. But our experience wasnt great. The server was nice. My problem is more with the experience management is providing. Came here for Sunday dinner with my family who came from out of town to visit. Outback boasts about a new menu, but it really is just a smaller menu with less options and higher prices. My normal order was significantly more expensive, and I therefore didnt order it, and also didnt really enjoy what I did order. Then on top of that, they were out of multiple things that we wanted to order. And they were unaware of it. We would place our order, wait for it, and then only after our wait would we discover that the restaurant was out. And then order something else that we enjoyed less. Based on their reduced selection and increased prices (that are not accompanied by increased value ) Im not really sure Outback will remain on my list of restaurants that I visit.

I use to love this Outback in particular. There are still a lot of servers that I know that still work at there. I read a previous comment and I must agree that the service is pretty dull now. They have a new building that is very pretty, but that is it. Yesterday, I ordered "No Rules Pasta" from curbside. Why do they call it that, it is now a very limited dish. You use to be able to get scallops, shrimp, or chicken in the pasta. I just found out that they no longer have scallops. If you asked me, that is one of the parts of the pasta that made it unique, different and tasty. The only options are shrimp and chicken now. Well, I can go to Fridays or Ruby Tuesdays to get a similar pasta. Curbside usually always forgets to put plastic ware in your bag. I have been getting disappointed that last couple times I have been there.

Stay away from this Outback! I just picked up my food from curbside. The waitress gave me a cup of orange juice that had been ordered for my grandson, in a carry out cup without a top. I took it inside and asked if they could give me juice with a top even if it was in a bigger cup, as long as it has a top. I was told that they have no tops for any of their cups. Then I asked to have the cost of the juice deducted from my tab. A young man led me to the bar where the manager sat, whereupon the manager, Mr. Michael Odigie, glared at me without uttering a single word and handed me two dollars. Mr. Odigie needs to be sent back to school to learn how to treat customers. So, I will not go back to that Outback as long as that nasty manager is there.

I live on the border of DC/MD .... which is far from Bowie. The closest Outback is the one in Oxon Hill which I have given them 1 star. I come to this one because my take out order is always done correctly the first time. Everything I requested is there and I never have to check anything. They actually come out to your cars no matter how busy they are on the inside. With that being said, ordering Curb-Side Takeaway, you may not find the special parking for take out during peak hours so you have to go inside. Which is fine because there is always someone there to help. If I decide to go out my way to go to this location then they must have great customer service which they indeed do.

The take-away service at this location is almost hilariously bad. On more than one occasion, weve had to wait in excess of 90 minutes for food (posted wait time 30-40 minutes). Orders are almost always incomplete, or missing ranch, blue cheese or side dishes. We started checking every thing in the the bag before leaving. If you spot a mistake and ask them to correct it, they bring you something that is wrong in a different way. Ask to talk to a manager, and you sit there waiting for another 10 or 20 minutes while your food gets cold. Its almost like this location is run by the Outbacks competition, and theyre doing everything they possible can to sabotage the brand.

The food is good but the customer service is really bad. The take out service is a lot better than dining in. The food is ready by the time we arrive. However, getting them to pick up the phone without attitude and not put you back on hold without an attitude is a problem. Dining in is not the best experience and we much rather take the food home to eat. They take very long to sit you down at a table and dont really check on you to see if you need anything like the check. The customer service is really bad and Im sure we will end up ordering again because maybe, just maybe the service will be better so we can support our local Bowie businesses.

I utilized the Outback webpage to do call ahead seating for 7:15 pm on 17Jan2015. My family (5 people) arrived at 7 pm and checked in. The entire time the webpage projected the wait time of no more than 30 minutes while we waited an hour. Every time we would check on our status the hostess would tell us we are next. If the wait time was an hour then the webpage and/or hostess should state that so families can accurately plan. I have been to Outbacks around the world and the one in Bowie, MD has the worst customer service. After this experience I may never go to another Outback.

This place is horrible. I placed an order online for curbside pickup. The food was not ready when I got there. Nobody even came out to greet me. I waited 15 minutes then I called the restaurant to alert them to my presence in the curbside parking. The girl on the phone was very rude. Someone finally comes out. He was very nice and gives me my food. When I get home. I am missing items from my order and my burger is not cooked well done like I ordered it. Next time I will choose a better restaurant with good customer service.

This is my go to neighborhood outback and usual a good place to until today. Our bread took forever to come to the table, food took an eternity to materialise and when it did it was either wrong or missing something. I have been here several times like Ive said before and this isnt even busy today the restaurant my be 1/4 capacity and the cooks cant keep up or even read their tickets correctly. The only saving grace and the reason it didnt get a one star review is our server was trying his best.

I used to love Outback, but theyve changed for the worse. They used to have people working there who made it feel like a fun evening, but now theyre dull. They also changed their plates to white china type instead of the "outback" style of the darker trays. My wife got a small steak with some shrimp which was okay, but very little vegetables on a huge empty-looking white china plate. Definitely not an "outback" type theme. Too bad. We wont be going there again.
