Ok, I usually don't leave reviews for restaurants, but I feel that in this case, I have to. I went there about 2 weeks ago on a Friday night because it was the only place in my area that had seats available (now I know why). When we first got there, even though half of the restaurant was empty, it took them 10 min to seat us. The manager (gray hair, goatie) was right in front of us, cracking jokes with the other servers and totally ignoring us. When we finally got seated the first thing we noticed was how the restaurant was so bright, giving the impression of a dinner. We weren't impressed with the appetizers, $7.00 for two spring rolls that tasted worse than frozen ones you buy at Walmart. When the entrees FINALLY arrived, they looked/tasted worse than frozen food . But things only got worse... I started to dig in on my side side of coleslaw, and found a hair!!! I pointed it out to the server who immediatelly apologized and said she would let the mngr know. When the mngr came to our table he apologized for what happened and started asking me to DESCRIBE WHAT THE HAIR LOOKED LIKE so he could "investigate"....I was dumbfounded. Its already embarassing to find a hair in the food you're eating, imagin having to describe it. The manager didn't offer a discount on the check, or a desert to try to "make up" for it. I wouldn't have accepted the desert even if he had offered. But I just thought it would have been the least he could have done. By that time I just wanted to get out of there. So to sum it up, the impression I had of that place is that they're trying to make money fast by offering cheap food and poor management and they're not really wanting to build a clientele. Food is expensive and tastes like garbage. What a waste of time and money!!!

Today my family wanted to try the Blue Dolphin Restaurant, since we heard such great things about it. My dad called 3 hours in advance and made a reservation. He asked the receptionist on the phone to repeat by the time and last name to ensure she had the correct information. So we arrived to the restaurant to find out that our reservation we made with the receptionist was no where to be found. They didnt have it in the reservation system and they didnt have it on a flimsy piece of paper where they write down the other reservations. That is what the incompetent receptionist told us. So when we explained to her how we called and made reservations in advance she look dumbfounded and said "Oh, well sometimes we through away the pieces of paper we write the reservations on". *blank stare* So then my father asked to speak to the manager who really offered no assistance as he said he would investigate what happened, but the "investigation" took 15 minutes and we never saw him again. Not to mention the inappropriate receptionist who kissed and hugged her boyfriend in the midst of guests after he brought her some taco bell which she put at the front desk. The other wait staff who came back in from their smoke break, looking disheveled as their shirts were not tucked in. I would not even recommend or go back to this restaurant if they cant even do the first basic step of making sure your is a reservation in the system, when you call 3 hours in advance. I would hate to imagine what the food and service would be like.

My family and I arrived at 1pm. We didnt get our food until 2:15pm. We waited for over an hour!! The waitress tried satisfying us with more bread. We didnt want bread, we wanted our entrees. When we asked why it was taking so long, she said "The kitchens backed up". Yes, it was busy, but we all know that waiters use that as an excuse to cover up the fact that they screwed up one or more of the dishes and had to start over or they forgot to put the order in. We were very polite even though our tempers were rising. We didnt want to make a scene, but we finally asked to see the manager. He came over and we explained the situation. We asked him if they could take something off of our bill because the food took so long to come out. Which we didnt think was unreasonable considering everyone around us had been served already, including the large groups of people that got seated after us.May I add that everything we got (2 crab cake sandwhiches and the stuffed chicken) were overcooked and sloppily put together. So not only did we have to wait a ridiculous amount of time, they didnt even care enough to fix their mistake! The manager gave us NO APOLOGY and had the worse attitude ever. He was not professional at all and said that the stuffed chicken takes 45 minutes to prepare, thats why our food took so long. A RESTAURANT WILL NOT STAY IN BUSINESS WHEN THEY HAVE MEALS THAT TAKE 45 MINUTES TO PREPARE! He was not honest and he had no desire to keep us as customers. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.

I am a new server there he would never heard of the place until I started working there only days ago Ive been in the restaurant business a very long time but always worked in Annapolis I was very delightfully surprised at how busy this place was and stays from the time it opens until it time it closes I asked several guests why they choose to come here and their responses as the large portions of food and the fact that it tastes so good if youre researching on whether or not you think you should go there as you can see as I read to there were lots of complaints a year ago and before but it must have improved because it is very very popular and the food is very very good homemade desserts theyre known for their crab cakes which are huge very little filler their steaks are del Monico which apparently most customers like their steaks well done at this restaurant I highly recommend coming here not because I work there but because its a nice night out for a family a couple or just girls hanging out wanting a nice meal if you do decide to come you can request a server and you are certainly can request me my name is Angela it would be my pleasure to help you have a perfect night out

Never ever go here and order a steak..!! The steak I ordered was medium well and I asked for rare. The chef, Pete, said it was fine wow....!!!!! They didnt charge me for it but what kind of restaurant has a chef that doesnt know what a rare steak is.????? Maybe good to order seafood but they should go out of businesss before having steak on the menu and actually charging for it..!!! Shame on Blue Dolphin and shame on the losers that own it..!! No wonder why they dont have a footprint in the restaurant business, I would shut down if I was them rather than rip people off and serve garbage over cooked food but maybe thats acceptable to them, ripping people off and serving over cooked bad food..!!?? Shame on blue dolphin and shame shame shame on the absent owners who are clearly ok with serving crap and over charging people for it.. I always thought Greeks ran good restaurants but not these they are embarrassing..!!!!! Not sure why my post has any stars cause they dont deserve any..!!!
