The staff are extremely pleasant and truly service minded. The BBQ is spectacular, the sauce is homemade from scratch, with hints of citrus and maybe?? cocoa... My top three picks from the menu are the fried chicken ( the Colonel has nothing on the Nation) with mashed potatoes and gravy with a fresh biscuit, the smoked (14hrs) brisket in any form, or the fish and chips... Gorgeous golden fried flaky fish chunks with the house Tartar and a healthy portion of the best hand cut French fries this side of Old Orchard Beach... Dont say I didnt warn you to take some home and save room for dessert... Amazing chocolate cakeball thingys and a scrumptious looking cheesecake were the options on my last visit.

The customer service was very friendly, the restaurant was nice and clean though I only got take out. I feel guilty leaving a three star review having only been there once, but it is in a tourist town. The BBQ tasted like their smoker had caught fire and it tasted like soot. My wide ordered the fried chicken that is made to order, I didnt try it but she said it just tasted off. Neither of us finished our meals and ended up throwing out the leftovers. In hind sight it could have been a red flag that all the places around them were very busy and this place was empty. I actually checked the sign to make sure they were open on the way in.

Stopped in here after a day of roaming Acadia park during "off-off season" (a few days before Christmas) and what a lovely treat this place is! I ordered the hot buttered rum to start off and wow! A family recipe that is the best Ive ever had. For lunch and had the fish and chips which was wonderful. My boyfriend ordered the BBQ quesadilla and practically licked the plate clean. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend if ever you are in the area.

Wow! Really great barbecue and not just "for Maine" - amazing pork and beef ribs and BBQ chicken. BUT the real standout, best I ever ate, still thinking about it now... is the fried chicken. It is scratch made so there is a 30 minute wait for it, but well worth the time. Tender and juicy with a tasty yet light crust. Plus the staff is so very nice. And my kids cleaned their plates. Cant get better than that.

My wife and I ordered the charred chicken sandwich and it was bursting with great flavor. The fries that came as a side were great. The people who run the place have great personalities. The atmosphere was wonderful. An overall pleasurable experience. More people need to venture in and try out this hidden gem.

I had the pulled pork sandwich and onion rings; my wife got the pulled pork quesadilla. Everything we got was fantastic! If we were in Texas, this place would have an hour wait. Definitely worth it! Southern sized portions. And did I mention its much less expensive than all the mediocre restaurants in the area?

Wait staff was super super nice and awesome. Food took over one hour to come out, despite being a slow night. Ordered the Mac and cheese side and it was disappointingly just kraft box Mac. It was super expensive too for not being home made. The bbq was so-so. Portions were on the smaller side.

Was not expecting to find tasty BBQ on my trip to Maine. If grading on the New England curve it earns five stars, with the classic sweet sauce you would expect from NE. While we had a slight mix up with my order, it was handled well, and the key lime cheesecake was out of this world.

Happened across this place while walking around looking for a dinner spot. Its new to town, but already runs smoothly. Great food, good setting. The fries were delicious, the BBQ was very tasty. I hope this place thrives as it starts up, because Id like to return when Im back in town!

This place is amazing! The waiter was very friendly. It wasnt busy here at all which was nice and quiet but they deserve more business! If youre looking for lunch that isnt seafood for a change... this is it! The pulled pork was amazing. Cooked perfectly and not over sauced!

The food here was amazing. We had the pulled pork sandwiches and grilled chicken quesadillas and they were awesome. We were in town for two nights and I wish we had come across it earlier. I would have easily gone both night in a row.
