Our first Mainely Meats experience was 2 years ago at the location nestled back in the woods where their brewery was. This year we discovered this location. Let me tell you how good it was...we were in Bar Harbor and full week...there were three days we ate there twice. The breakfast was great, the barbeque was spot on...and their Maine lobsters were cooked to perfection. There was something for everyone on the menu. Two or three times we ordered carry out for the whole family of 10 and took it back to our relaxing getaway. Oh and while we waited for our carry out, we indulged at the adjoining ice cream shop. Ill find a place to post for them next! Great food, amazing BBQ sauce (which we order on line and have shipped home) and friendly service. Bottom Line, dont miss MAINELY MEATS!

We ate here three times on our visit to Mount Desert Island. The service is fast and friendly, the food is reasonably priced and we were seated with out a wait all three visits. These attributes plus a pretty good breakfast would have earned 5 stars but then we ate there for dinner on our third visit. We both order the bbq sampler and we both thought it was a little lacking. We know they smoke their meats on premises because you can see and smell the smoker yet our food had little smoke flavor. The chicken skin was the only thing on my plate that had any smokiness, the ribs were tender, and the pulled pork was dry but the hot italian sausage was great. We would definitely eat here again for breakfast and I would try it again for dinner but I would order something else.

Some of the best ribs that Ive had in while!! I ordered their half rack for dinner and they were perfect! I thought their prices were good for the food we got! And if youre a root beer lover like me order their bottled root bear it was delicious with my meal. Loved the small town feel! Hope to come back for breakfast yet.

The best BBQ in Maine! Wonderful staff, good prices. Easy to get to despite Route 3 work. Just 6 minutes on return from Bar Harbor. The pork just melts in your mouth. Great for families and large groups. Breakfast is also fantastic.

Best dinner choice in this area 18$ for a 1 an 1/2 lb lobster plus beans Cole slaw pot. Salad an corn bread....not bad at all There salad is very good too an the sampler platter is amazing all the meats were excellent

Just ok breakfasts. Pancakes were nice, but omelettes were disappointing, and the biscuits were a bit dry. Coffee was very standard, though they had a few flavors to choose from. There are better places in town.

Order your bread on the side, they let it sit and because its 80% grease it disintegrates and youre left with a giant mess! Im from Texas, so to me there is no flavor, but portions were decent.

Disappointing, but maybe because I was coming a week after BTs Smokehouse. Food seemed really greasy and the flavor was mediocre. Rub seemed overly sweet and had no subtlety.
