OK, so weve ( a biracial couple) been to the Luna cafe a number of times and always had good food and good to very good service. This time we had a young waitron who apparently could not tolerate a person of color asking questions, as each time one was asked, they turned to my whiteness to answer. Had to employ my regular tactic of no eye contact at all in order to help this person see that the person to speak to was not me. Did not leave this experience very optimistic at all about our future as customers. Rather than boycotting the Luna, would prefer what i hope is a customer centric management to know the bias of their staff and either not hire them for a customer facing position or NOT ask a person like this to attend to our needs, if they cannot learn to deal with their implicit bias more effectively. Were not looking for anything more than god to very good service weve come to expect. FYI, There were plenty of other staff available who couldve stepped in, as we were there early in the evening and the place was empty. the food was good.

During my visits to my parents house in Seattle, we often make sure a visit to Luna Park Cafe is on the list of "to-dos". Although the food and decor is what most people consider diner fare upon first glance, you will find that the taste, serving size and choices go beyond a diner. Although their breakfast foods are my favorite, the soups and sandwiches are also good. The fries are great! Do read the info sheet about Luna Park that is at each table and youll realize that the decor in many instances is a tribute to the history of the area. Weve never been disappointed. If you stop in make sure to finish your meal with a milkshake or sundae, they are some of the best around! (you just have to get over the fact that the wait staff is not what one would call conservative)

Walked in at around noon on Sunday, waited around 10 minutes. Waited 10 minutes for the beer and soda. Waited another 20 for the Turkey Dip & Veggie Sandwich. Food was lukewarm include the Au Jous. Waited another 5 minutes for the check to be picked up and then another 5 for her to drop it off, only to rely on someone else to drop it off. Pros: Nice classic decorations (loved the lunch boxes, and coin operated gyrating car. Beer on draft, diner like atmosphere. Cons: Service was iffy, staff seemed chaotic, food arrived cold. Overall Impression: Wont be going back, but might be a good neighborhood cafe / diner if you are licking your wounds from a previous night of hard partying. Cheers

Um ya, if you havent gone, I cant help you. Luna Park is just awesome. The food is great Americana, breakfast all the time with portions to choke a t-rex. Every meal I have had here, I have enjoyed. The giant mimosa are, well, giant! Best of all is the vintage everything like the old lunchboxes hanging from the ceiling, the working jukeboxes and other decorations that will keep you looking around and engaged the whole meal. My only real complaint is the coffee is blah and the place is so very popular. I cant think of any other breakfast place I love in Seattle as much as Luna Park. Lola maybe for fancier food but that is not what I go to Luna Park for.

The waiters were very friendly and nice. The place had amazing food. Ranging from the waffles to eggs Benedict. And the milk shakes were awesome. Over all the place was very nice place, not the healthiest choice though. Also the decorations were cool and fun. The walls were decorated with old school Coca-Cola signs and other old school signs, that gave the store a nice feel. It also was a very comfortable place to be it was the perfect temperature and even has very clean restrooms (only went into the mens but I assume the girls bathroom is the same) ! Overall a great place to stop while in Seattle

Freshly squeezed lemonade means just that; freshly squeezed. False advertising is actually illegal, did you know? Its a small thing, but when your menu states one thing, but you deliver another... kind of makes you wonder what all is going on in the kitchen. Food for thought. If it comes from a bottle, its not fresh. fresh freSH/Submit adjective 1. (of food) recently made or obtained; not canned, frozen, or otherwise preserved. Not really sure why thats so hard to deliver. Again... makes you wonder what other corners are being cut.

This is a fun cafe, with good food and a lot of personality. The prices are reasonable (for seattle), and they have (good) breakfast all day, as well as a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, and dinner fare. The space is covered with fun 50s kitch, including a very old and temperamental jukebox machine. It can get a little loud, so fair warning. They have also just started making vegan milkshakes, and they use full tilt vegan ice cream to do it. Over all, excellent place to stop in West Seattle.

Love this place!! The burgers are great (try the mushroom burger) and the fries..with ranch dressing and bacon salt! Cool retro decor (and check out the 10 foot tall Fender Stratocaster in the back - My friend Jay Hargreaves was one of the builders, and it was in the Guinness Book of World Records for a time. It actually works!). My wife and I usually make this a destination when we are around the West Seattle/Alki area. Outdoor seating too for those summer afternoons:)

Es un lugar increíble, yo fui en el desayuno y me gusto mucho el sabor y el servicio a pesar de estar muy ocupados, la atención fue impecable. Es un lugar que lo pondría dentro de mi lista de clásicos a visitar en Seattle!

Luna Park Cafe isnt lying when they say they have the best milk shakes in the city. Theyre awesome. That said, this place is pretty heavily hipster, so if you arent covered in tattoos you might feel a little uncomfortable. It definitely has that "Were too cool to care about customer service" vibe. The food is on the mediocre to crappy side too, so keep that in mind. Seriously though, the milkshakes make this place worth a visit. You should go just for that.

I heard reviews on the Shakes and decided to try it out. Im a huge fan of finding the Best Shakes possible. The more natural the better. I had an Espresso Shake and OMG!!! Seriously the best shake Ive had in Washington State so far. It actually tastes like Espresso. It was super delicious and even had little Espresso grains!! I havent had the food but as far as shakes go this place is the best so far thats why Im giving 5 stars.

I love thia place! Its something youd find on diners, drive in, and drives. Great food! I love the breakfasts and cobb salad. Delicious! Ive gotten different things every time and Im never disappointed. Decor is extremely eclectic and crazy awesome. Lots of stuff from back in the day. Wait staff is always friendly and I get quick service everytime, even when its busy. Great thick milkshakes too!

It was super busy when we arrived. However, we were greeted right away, put on the waiting list, and asked to wait outside where they have a covered area equipped with a coffee station. In contrast to other family/breakfast joints in the neighborhood, Luna Park is structured to easily handle the regular overflow that happens every weekend. Their staff are friendly and efficient.
