Went There For Lunch Around 12 With 4 Other Guys 2 white 2 others black, Was Given a table sorta in a forgotten corner. Took About 15 Minutes Before A Waiter Came To Ask For Our Drinks, Took A Whole Damn Hour For Them To Bring The Food, & Instead Of Telling Us There Had Been A Food Mix Up Early On, The Waiter Waited Till Almost The 45 Minute Mark. When They Brought The Food Out I Had Ordered Fries , They Were Nowhere In Sight , I Had To Remind Them That I Ordered Them. Before I Had ALL Of My Food It Had Been 1 Hour And 10 Minutes Since Walking Through The Door. Im Not Usually A Person Who Likes To Manipulate Anyone Else But I Felt Atleast A Percentage Of The Ticket Should Have Been Taken Off.. The Only Thing The Waiter Offered Complementary Was 1 Housemade Cookie For Each One Of Us.... We Were From Out Of Town & This Was Out First And Last Time Dining There.

Gator balls of fire! Were visiting from SoCal and all the hubby talked about was wanting to eat some alligator. These breaded, fried nuggets were tender and seasoned with just the right amount of heat. We didnt really need it, but Im so glad I ordered a bowl of the Soup of the Day: Shrimp & Corn (red-based)...nice, deep flavor! Next was the Muffaletto. I was never a big fan of olives, but Ive recently begun acquiring a taste for them. I finally see why this sandwich is so famous. Half of a half is still a good sized portion. I was intrigued by the Spicy Shrimp Po Boy since it used grilled vs. fried shrimp, but this dish was just good and not great after all the aforementioned standouts. We went for lunch with the folks, but if were ever around on a weekend night, Id love to come for the live music out on the patio.

I had gumbo and shrimp po-boy. The stone ground wheat bread was not good po-boy bread, it became soggy, and unappetizing. But my wife had the shrimp and crabmeat salad. She found a dead fly in it almost immediately and sent it back, substituting another order. We made no fuss about it and only our waitress knew of it. I was shocked when upon paying the bill I was told the salad had been "compted" but I was charged for the replacement order. Big deal, give away a salad with a dead fly, charge me for what replaced it. It was our first visit and last.

The Mag. The Mag is legendary in this small part of Louisiana. The sandwiches are great, the plates are amazing and the sweet potato fries send other sweet potato fries cowering into dark corners. Its a casual joint with a huge back porch that is both heated and cooled through alchemy. Have a great meal, leave stuffed and on your way out get one of their cookies, which are the size of the hubcaps on a Smart Car.

I came in here with another teacher and three students while on a school trip. We were promptly ignored in favor of regulars. It took well over an hour and twenty minutes to get our food and the waitress just offered us cookies. I am sure this place is great if you live in St Francisville but if you are not a regular do not expect stellar service.

My husband, son and I stopped here for lunch on our way from New Orleans back home. Very cute establishment. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the BLT, Magnolia Style. We also ordered some sweet potato fries and guacamole for the table. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would gladly visit again.

Great food, service and atmosphere! We had the spicy shrimp sandwich, pesto pizza and the Bluesy chicken salad and it was all great! We sat out on the patio on a very hot day but it was very comfortable. Fresh ingredients in food and came out fast during lunch rush.

Great space - covered/enclosed patio with different seating areas, shared bar top seating, plus indoor areas. Easy to find with parking nearby. Good size menu and food is pretty good, but nothing that will blow you away. Most importantly, good space and prices.

Every time I have home there Ive gotten dick to my stomach...the steak was bad, potatoes where under seasoned, and the food just wasnt all that good all around! The one time they made something I liked was the seafood enchilada!

Youre better off getting a burger at McDonalds. Its cheaper and the same quality. The sweet potato fries were really good and the pizza was good. All in all Im sure you could find a better local establishment.

Never had a bad experience here. No matter how busy they are or who is taking my order or who is cooking it is always great. Not many restaurants can make that claim.

Great service, food, and atmosphere. We had fried green tomatoes with remoulade and shrimp for an appetizer, a magnolia salad, and a muffaletto... All great!

Rustic, country eats. Close to several beautiful plantations. The locals may stare at you if they sense youre from out of town.
