Ok to start. The waitress was nice. Coke Zero was cold. Wedge salad, with no tomatoes and no onion was pretty tasty. Baked potato was baked, but lets face it can not really say any baked potato is the best thing I have ever eaten. It was good. I ordered the bone in rib eye. It is there signature steak. I figured diner out for really the first time with the family sence Jennifer s operation. Ordered it medium rare. Came out over done. Jennifer and Eddie already had there food, so I ate my potato (had already ate my salad). I hate sending food back but I can not do a over cooked steak. Jennifer and Eddie ate there food and as they finished a waitress brought me a grossly UNDER cooked T-Bone steak. I did jot need to cut into it you could see that it was purple raw. And besides I ordered a bone in rib eye. The waitress that brought me out the steak tryed to smooth it over. Telling me her husband loves the porterhouse because you get the strip and the fillet. I told her just charge me for my salad and potato (because that is what I ate) and charge me for the rest of the food that was correct. She left the T-bone on the table and the check was brought. We were charged for Jennifer and Eddies food and our drinks. Paid the bill. Left a good tip. And left. I mean come on, over cook a steak and send one out, (wrong cut mind you) and under cook it? All because the one you sent me to start off with was over cooked, does not mean throw a peice of meat in front of me and think it is ok. You even have a guide one your menu so us common folk can see what we like. 2 steaks, different cuts, prepared wrong, try to talk me into eating the you sent out wrong and under cooked? I mean really? It has been over 6 years sence the last time I dined at you resturant. And if memory serves, THIS IS THE SAME THING THAT HAD KEPT ME FROM COMING BACK.

We have been patronizing this particular Outback for 20 years and have very rarely had a bad meal. Our Grandson loves the steaks so yesterday being his 10th birthday we took him to Outback. The last experience a few weeks ago was terrible but we thought it was just a one off visit. Last night proved otherwise. He had a 9 ounce sirloin and my wife and I had Prime rib. The prime rib was the worst cut of meat we have ever had. Totally inedible, the outer part was like plastic and the inside was total fat. We sent my wifes back to be seared on the grill hoping it would help but it only made it worse. We could not eat it and brought it home for the dog so we wouldnt waste all that $$. The quality of this Outback has been going down for awhile and now Im the bottom. Unfortunately we will not be going back for a very long time. With all the new establishment opening up in Slidell i can see this one suffering unless the quality changes.

I am not one to complain about the food served at any restaurant, things sometime happen that make the food sub par. But this was bad enough to make a review. The service was great, just the food was the worst I have eaten at any restaurant in a long time. The Rib Eye steak, well it looked something like a Rib Eye, but was as tough as any cut of meat I have ever tried to eat. The taste was not like any steak I have ever ordered there, seasoned differently I guess, really did not like it. I went home and ate a few anti-acids. My wifes grilled chicken salad was about the same, she felt a Wendys salad was much better, at what, a tenth of the cost. I had to get a glass of ice for my warm beer. Very, very disappointed. It will be a while before we go back.

Service was exceptional, I ordered the Prime Rib med rare, it was over cooked, however all the Prime Rib was all med and above so they offered me a bigger size rib eye at the same price, which was fabulous, they also allowed me to take home the original meal I had ordered. My husbands meal was completely comped which was unexpected, they also gave us a free dessert the Chocolate Thunder Down Under. We were extremely overwhelmed by the customer service and over the top dining experience we had. I would highly recommend the Slidell, La Outback Steakhouse to anyone, they by far exceeded our expectations.

You cant find a better steak in Slidell. They have a lot more than just steaks too and theyre open for lunch now. I also work there and it always speaks well of a restaurant when their employees still eat there. Their Alice Springs chicken quesadillas are really good and so are many of the appetizers. If you get a ribeye or a strip or porterhouse, ask to get it cooked "Pittsburg style." Its not advertised anywhere on the meny, but its the best way to get it. They use the 17 seasonings from the classic style, but cool it on the woodfire grill. Its judtvs good place to eat and the service is top-notch.

The server Debbie was rude and obnoxious. I placed an order for an appetizer and wanted to change my order. Could not find her and when she returned to my table I asked her if she could change my appetizer order. Either way would have been perfectly okay however her response was, yea even though they probably already started it. With an eye roll. Bottom line is she was rude and disrespectful and not the type of service I expect at a place like this. No matter what the answer was to my question there was no reason for the attitude and rudeness I received here today.

Took over 45 minutes to get our lunch order, and manager Jackie asked if I had informed them of being on my lunch break when we were seated. Well, it was lunch time, and we were all dressed in business casual. What else would we be there for at 11:30. In addition, there were hardly any people in the restaurant. Couldnt even eat, the food was so late, and she served it with attitude. Not interested. I was originally going to give 4 stars from being there the previous evening, and the food and service was GREAT. However, Jackie shot that down real quick.

Should have gone to texas steakhouse instead, ordered the 14 oz ribeye, got a piece of leftover prime rib seared on the flat grill to reheat , disgusting and tough as shoe leather, manager asked to replace it but to wood grill it instead, didnt want to bother with it but wtf give em a chance, got the leftover prime rib grilled...all I wanted was a fresh grilled ribeye, ordered lobster tails as well, dried out reheated leftovers...never go when they first open moving last nights leftovers and never before they close....

Went here to dinner with a friend. She ordered the shrimp and crawfish pasta, and something didnt taste quite right. We spoke with the manager, and switched out her entree for a different pasta. It took about 15 minutes for the new entree to come out, and then they charged us for the new entree which was more expensive. They messed up the entree, and then charged us the higher price. Thats completely unacceptable. Ill never go back here. Take my advice, go to Texas Roadhouse instead. Way better food and service.
